I had a friend that was t-boned and ended up in a coma for just shy of 3 weeks. He swears that during that time he was a German soldier in WWII. He spoke German etc. Even though in reality he couldn't. He talked about his wife and his life as a soldier. He said he had been in a pill box when an American soldier tossed a grenade inside and the next thing he knew there was a bright flash and he was awake from his coma. Kind of weird but very interesting.
Just like the beginning of an isekai webtoon 😂
This is actually a Creepypasta. It's called "It wasn't a normal Glitch in the Matrix".
I would love to watch movies with these kind of stories.
That would be so awesome! Just to experience something like that or anything really. Like virtual reality or something along the lines
Could be a past life memory that he unlocked
Something like this has happened to me actually, I lived 3 years of my life with a dog in my dreams. Every day I went through in my dream was a year, each day spanning a couple hours real time if I were to guess. I grew so attached to the dog and to the life I had always wanted in my dream that when I woke up I started crying. It happened last year and to this day when I think about it I feel like I lost the closest person to me. It felt like someone died, all the friends I had my dog everything I had ever wanted seemed so real, only to wake up with none of it. Safe to say I barely ate or slept that entire week.
While ten years with a wife and kids didn't happen to me, I still understand what it meant to live a life in your dreams. It SERIOUSLY hurts.

I know a man with a similar story, he went into a coma after a motorcycle accident and during his coma he became a soldier, he fought in wars and got shot in the leg. He become a war hero. He retired later due to his leg injuries. More civil wars happened later and the government tried to recruit him but he refused. After he has woken up from the coma, he still believes the government wants to recruit him. He Injured his leg in the motorcycle accident and thats what he uses as proof that he was indeed a soldier and fought in war. Its the weirdest situation I have ever seen. He lives in our town.
This sometimes happens to me,
Not the getting assaulted by a football player and waking up in a hospital but my vivid dreams at night feel real.
I’ve lived through lives in my vivid dreams where I’d meet a girl and fall in love and live happily with her just for it all to be ripped away from me when I wake up alone.
It’s pretty painful and if the story is real then I feel for the dude. He lived a happy life with his wife and kids for 10 years only for it to be false. Heartbreaking.

or a side track into another dimension. The 'reality' of waking up every morning for 10 years, with its attendant joys AND vagaries have a texture to it. Unless his experience is a summation, 10 years would have to have a palpable grittiness.
As someone once said "there exists no time, in the world of ones mind". Its truly amazing how long someone can experience something while its such a small duration of time in the physical world.
Dang. This truly is a, "snap back to reality" moment.
My question is, did he really feel 10 years, or did time go by quicker?
I was wondering the exact same thing. That part I’m really curious about cuz if he really felt 10 years go by that just makes it even worse
Time went quicker it's like how dreams work, dreams don't last like a full 8 hours they last, a couple of few minutes.
This story is wildly exaggerated, like an urban legend.
Don't take it too seriously.

this story interested me. though after searching for the full story, I found this was someone's story posted on reddit. which isn't a bad story, but how do we know this is infact a true story?
I dont trust reddit... but even if the story is fake, no one deserves to go what that man went through
Even if it is fake, it could happen and is a lesson we all should learn from
it isn't, it's fake
whats its called?
We don't know but we just have to trust it's real.
This reminds me of an episode of Star Trek, TNG, titled the Inner Light. In the episode, Captain Picard was struck unconscious by an energy beam from an alien probe. While minutes passed for the rest of the crew, the probe made Picard experienced 40 years of lifetime as Kamin, a humanoid scientist whose planet was threatened and destroyed by the nova of its sun. The purpose of the probe and the 40 years of virtual life it gave him was to keep alive the memory of Kamin's race long after the death of their civilization.
That's one of my top 5 episodes of TNG.
Something that will make this easier to understand the 10 years he went through:
Think about a dream. Most dreams feel like hours passed in them, however in reality it was only 12 seconds of real time. Maybe this man had a dream that lasted far longer then 12 seconds because of him getting knocked out that he experienced what felt like 10 years
That's a really good way to think about it!
Although, I swear I heard somewhere that dreams normally last for 5-20 minutes. Maybe I have to do more research lol....
@@ellieee8490 former lucid dreamer here, REM sections (or dreaming parts) can last from 30 minutes up to 90, the time increases each REM section, and you have around 5 REM sections per sleep. So yes, you can have some dreams feel like hours if it's one of the last ones, or you can use a method called time dilation, where you raise your awareness by a lot, thus making the dream feel longer.
But I honestly don't think that story is true, since he wasn't in REM sleep in the first place, he was knocked out for a few minutes, and the first REM section starts around 30 minutes after falling asleep.
@@floopyy_ ah thank you! Yeah, I didn't really expect the story to be real, it's just an interesting theory and a good wake-up call!
@@ellieee8490 yeah I would prefer the story to be something like "enjoy life before it's too late" or something like that
This kind of insane time dilation makes me question the ethical nature of cryogenic freezing and the post-mortem"resurrection" they hope for. When we're about to die, this is just... What the brain does. Whether or not the story is true something like this genuinely happens to people, and near the end of our lives, near-death experience survivors strongly imply that our "afterlife" is exactly what we expect it to be, good or ill.
So... to bring someone back from oblivion is actually like forcibly ripping them out of their personal paradise (or I guess if they died with a guilty conscience, maybe a personal hell) and I seriously don't know how to feel about that idea. If I was living in my utopia and couldn't tell it wasn't real and I was for all intents and purposes dead so my influence had ended-- I certainly would resent being ripped out of it back into this awful world...
Yeah, that's messed up. If he was there for 10 years when in reality it was a few minutes, that can put into perspective how life can be. Sometimes I have dreams that feel like 6 hours long and I wake up and it's barely been 90 minutes. I truly feel sorry for him.

Now, I have complete control over my dreams. If I don't like the dream that I'm in, I can just change it into a different dream. If I find a monster in a dream, the latest one being a Wendigo, I can just kill it with just a thought.

Honestly, I don’t believe this to be a true story. I’m pretty sure that this is psychologically-impossible. If he truly perceived 10 years going by day by day, he would’ve noticed a “glitch in the matrix” way before then. And, if he had only perceived the dream as being a few snapshots of what happened in those 10 years, he wouldn’t be grieving his lost wife and kids because he wouldn’t have formed an emotional connection with them. Maybe he would’ve been sad, but it would be closer to the sadness that you feel when you dream about your crush liking you back or reuniting with a childhood friend but then wake up.
Personally, I think that someone made up this story after watching Vanilla Sky. The concept in that movie is very similar to this story.
I’m shocked to see people buying into this story. It’s not possible for what is basically a dream to feel that real, sometimes dreams will have weeks go by but it’s not possible to to live day by day, create your whole own universe. Maybe it’s possible to make up your own wife and kids but after you wake up you will think about it and instantly know it wasn’t real. You can’t live a day to day life in your sleep, it isn’t possible, it’s not even debatable.
While this possibility displeases me, I value your opinion and cannot deny its plausibility.
They definitely watched Vanilla Sky. This literally cannot happen.
I think he had a 10 year montage
Yeah like what kind of knowledge was he getting out of his dream college
This hits me because I have such a weird continuing dream where I'm in a different (but realistic) world or location where I encounter the same people and friends every time I happen to dream from there. Nothing ridiculous happens - it's all normal and I experience multiple days or weeks and eventually end up in a false awakening and sleep paralysis loop until I wake up in reality, being confused and completely frightened by the fact that just a few hours passed when I actually experienced multiple days. I can only recall one person and their name from there, but when I dreaming I remember my real life only as a dream as well, so... Since I have some neurological issue that's going to be researched more once fucking health system finally manages to even start analyzing more and treating me, it might just turns out as a common mental illness. Basically, according to measurement of my brain waves, I'm never really fully awake, which explains my diagnosed dissociation syndrome. It just sounds crazy to think about it when my mind is clear once in a while lol.
Same I have the same dreams and feels like real life it last so long and now I keep thinking I'm in a dream when I'm in reality
same bs happens with me, glad to know not the only one..
Or…what if the reality you’re living in right now while reading this comment is fake and the dream world is actually real?
I understand this. Sometimes when I wake, I wonder if there's another version of me living a different life that I was just able to see for a time.
I had a dream this week where I woke up from my dreams within a dream like TEN TIMES and when I finally woke up it took me a while to process lol and the dream seemed so real I talked in my sleep and my mom heard it

This is really the "Snap back to reality" moment
My lord, this so heartbreaking!
I've heard this story sooo many times before.
A similar happened to me 2 years ago. When I was in 10th grade. My day was unusually quiet, I just went to bed, however that won't be the end of it. I felt like I was in a developed nation, I didn't remember which one. I had grown up and I had a girlfriend who was actually a friend I'd know for many years. I looked at the mirror and saw a more handsome version of myself. Everything was going well, I was in a park walking with my girlfriend, she was just sweet and warm, and every time I hugged her I felt a lovingly warm feeling in my chest. We were just laughing and chatting and talking about getting married next month. I was already engaged. It felt like the best time of my life and honestly I enjoyed every moment of it. But then suddenly something happened. I moved my head up to look at a bird in the sky when I looked at the sun. I was blinded for a moment, when I finally opened my eyes, I was in my room, and the sunlight was shining through an opening in the curtain of my window. I woke up, and felt like my whole world just turned upside down. I looked at the mirror and saw a boy I couldn't even recognise for 5 minutes.
What I went through was just too perfect to be a dream. But what even strange was that the warm feeling in my chest that I felt after hugging her had not disappeared until a couple of minutes after I woke up.
I really can't remember her face, but when I nap, I glimpse it sometimes. Perhaps, that was just my mind creating an illusion of what I truly needed in life.
I think that’s what happened to this person
I literally almost started to cry. That is so sad, I'm so sorry
This is like when you make a friend in a dream or sometimes even a girlfriend that have been the best you've ever had just to wake up. Always hits me hard when my friend just disappears never existing, it's like he died and it always ruins my morning.
For anyone worried it could be happening to any of them right now, I mean, as long as u can physically feel stuff with the sense of touch everything’s real. It’s like how a dream feels real until u wake up and realize the whole time u couldn’t feel anything u couldn’t hear anything you couldn’t see anything it was all just imagination and u prolly even saw urself in third person
But in dreams you do see and hear stuff, i don't remember if you can feel stuff but you can definitely see and hear stuff
Lol, that's the part that scares me. When I dream, everything feels real, like I can feel the wind and the sun, sometimes pain too. And I definitely know I can hear voices and sounds
I don't even realize all the senses were "synthetic" or not real until the moment I wake up, so supposedly I could be dreaming and not know until I stop
(Though, probably not, because I can't see a reason for my mind wanting to live in this crappy world lmao... Plus I haven't seen any talking mailboxes, giant owls, or zombies yet so that's a pretty tell-tale sign)
If that’s true, this is a pretty crappy theme.
There is one awareness test to check if you are in a dream
Try pushing your hand to another hand and see if it passes through
If it does which means you are in a dream
If it does not you are in reality
You can also do some similar stuff, like attempting to do things which you normally cannot, like flying
This story is fake and made up. It's literally impossible for the brain to do something like this.
he shouldnt feel too bad. my life is better when i close my eyes too.
I have had that happen to me with just regular dreams more than once. It’s very sad on one hand. You long to go back to them. But SOOOO enriching too. Like a gift you could have only hoped for.
swear i saw something similar to this, guy took dmt or something and lived a whole life, when he was normal again it had only been like 40mins. idk correct me if you can
yeah
It's from Reddit and a ton of stories on there are usually fake
Dang this is deep
I'll take '"Things that never happened" for 500 Alex!"'
Just imagine how absolutely mind bending that was for him you would basically lose your mind at that knowledge idk how anyone could keep it together
Man, this made me think that I can be in a comma rn, and I haven't even realized. What if my family is not real, or everything I've seen is not real? If that's the case I rather never waking up from reality and stay here in this reality ik until I die.
you're not in a coma, you can relax
The story is called "Awaken by a Lamp" if anyone is interested.
The author who originally posted it had decided to remain anonym.
Bro that's actually so fucking sad... Imagine that you get the best life you've ever wanted and it feels so real... But... *It never existed and was all just a dream...*
he just have to accept that he saw him happy...what a gift
Wow this is super sad I cant imagine what pain this guy has experienced, I mean spending 10 years in a very good dream only to wake up to reality, mans spent years in a tsukoyomi.
dont feel bad because the story is pretty fake
holy F*** 10 minutes felt like 10 years to him wow thats sad and sad that it was a dream
Dude experienced his own WandaVision
Man just ran 10 years of program in just a few minutes on his brain. The overclocking tho 💀
" Hey mom?"
" What?"
" Where's my wife and kids?"
It's gonna be so depressing and awkward to even talk in that conversation
At this rate in 16 days he’s gonna be at 1 million
Sorry to disappoint but...
truly is saddening what happened to him but makes you more amazed at how much the mind could make, reality is full of different things
The way it was telled for someone feel timewasting, but in this way we can understand his pain more
This is what I'm always scared about - that I'll wake up & my whole life would have been a dream :(
This sounds like a really cool made up story
I hope not but i hope it is also 😭
That is the most heartbreaking thing. Imagine living the most ideal life just to find out it was a dream
bro experienced a whole alternate reality 💀💀💀💀
I closed my eyes when he brought up the lamp.
I remember this story. How couldn't i? The guy who lived a lifetime In few minutes of coma, only to wake up and realize it was all a dream.
Reminds me of WandaVision
This is the type of situation i randomly thought of in my brain. Never knew it could be real.
I remember hearing about this years ago. It's a story that has stuck with me ever since. It's a scary story in the most heartbreaking way. A lifetime of happiness with a wife and children that never actually existed.. How do you even recover?
I love your videos
