Definitely woke it up bro!!! A small vise with soft pipe jaws will help you IMMENSELY when cutting the sleeve or the crank.. you won’t believe how much of a difference there will be in the result as compared to “freehand”.. keep up the good work my friend! 🤙
Nice work Tasty‼️ - I know you said it has more bottom end which is nice. I could tell on the vid that it has a much more power in higher RPM range. You can hear the tone change 💯 She seems to respond well to the mods. - Did you happen to weigh the crank before and after? Just curious on the weight savings. Moding is so much fun, as you know. Great work and we all appreciate you sharing the adventure with us 🩷
Thank you my friend, yes it was very fun and rewarding, the difference in performance is crazy. I should have thought about weighing the crankshaft.... its not too late, im going to ask one of my friends to check the stock crankshaft's weight, I am very curious now...
Trés bon résultat. Encore la preuve qu'avec des connaissances et un peu d'outillage et d'habileté on peu totalement changer le comportement d'un moteur 👍
@@TastyBRC Raise the LRP exhaust about 10 degrees basically it is a port match to the casting of the block and watch out the .32 starts to scream like a .21 I use an OS 21J carb with 9mm venturi.
Wow excellent job and video showing is all. Certainly made a difference, I have a new one of these sitting in the box so I might do the same 😊 thanks again for sharing
Thanks for watching ! Run it stock first so you can compare. Im planning to buy another one and try different numbers. This makes the hobby even more interesting !
These lil Alpha run exceptionally good esp modded . On mine in opened the bore of the crank to 9.42mm which is same Os the xzb speed and drilled a hole in the center of it and then filled it , removed 1.3 gm in Total and it’s shocking fast now esp w a 9mm OS carb (b2104) . Feels like a 400$ engine . These Alphas are the best budget engines by far !
You went way more technical than me 👍I would like to drill the crankshaft, I am planning that. Now Im very curious to see how it will run with the nova crank!
@@TastyBRC Hmmm… Nova crank ? Correct me if I’m wrong but the bearing on the Alpha is 25.4..? No ? The 14mm Nova rear bearings are 14x25.8 , maybe they had some different sizes at one point . If you can fit a Novarossi crank in there .. Send it!
Yes it will probably mess up the balance a bit and at my level I cant check that.. just modd it and hope for the best 😆 I wont take that risk with a high end engine!
@@TastyBRC The X-Dyno is no longer manufactured. Ive only heard of 2 or 3 still in service. There were not that many sold to begin with. You have the right idea with the test and tune method. Make a change run it see the difference. Use a sky RC GPS to get some numbers to compare. The only issue is if you go to far you have to buy a new sleeve and start over. Of course Kings RC just announced the Onstat Dyno on his channel!

Thanks for the tip! You are absolutely right, i need that now. Planning to modd a bunch of cheap engines now...
Thanks for watching Mickey 👊

Well done bro, good on you for showing us how you do it I think you did a excellent job , bottom end heaps of power 💯🤜🇦🇺👍 well done 👍
Thank you Tony, I don't really have any merit, this engine is very basic, the slightest modification will bring a lot of power increase

Good video man. Almost inspires me to get more into modding. I’m in the same boat though I only modify my cheap engines.
Thank you, you should try, its very fun and simple, I wont modd a picco or a OS but I have a bunch of rtr engines and I plan a dremel carnage 😁
Great job!!! Sounds really good
Thank you!!

Absolutely love it. Great job buddy👊
Thank you Kings, send me a couple FX, I will modd them for free 💥💥
Good club racer engine, the alpha 5port
Agreed, easy tune, consistent, very cheap
Good stuff dude!
Thank you 👍
good , tres bon travail de préparation
Merci 👍
great job and run dude💪🤩
Thank you my friend
I’d give it two thumbs up dude.
I give two thanks 😁✌️
Niceee .. high revs nice..reminds me of my nova paloma kyosho inferno 2.0..💪🏾....
The Nova paloma was a great and nice looking engine.
Thanks for stopping by ✌️
Nice wooo. 👍Always on the way in. Little late here now. Notifications were off🔥💪🤘✌👍😊
Salut Tasty 😉
Magnifique travail de précision 👌
Bravo my friend 👍
Merci beaucoup Hervé 👍 J'ai pas fini de jouer avec ce petit alpha quitte à ce qu'il finisse par exploser

wow that really took the modding well i must admit i need to mod mine now :D
Get your dremel and let me see yours running Alistair 💥💥

@@kawicepticon8866 yes nova made 25.8 and 25.4 cranks, I tried yesterday and the engine runs! Ill lake a short video as it was raining...
Different?

Sounds sweet
absolutely amazing bro 😮 I'll be doing it to mine asap also are u running the same bearings from new??
Yes stock bearings. The engine is new, has less than 3L so bearings are fine
I've been thinking of getting one of these now. I feel I need to mod as well 🔥🔥👊
You need one 😁 Modding this engine was very fun and rewarding!
It sounds great! I think you could raise the exhaust port 4 more degrees!
Agreed 😁
I’m actually ordering one of these motors from eBay and sending to AMR Mods
I think that you wont be disappointed 💥
When you start cutting fangs into that crankshaft it dont through it out of balance ? My luck it would and it start eating crank bearings
Yes it will probably mess up the balance a bit and at my level I cant check that.. just modd it and hope for the best 😆 I wont take that risk with a high end engine!
You should acquire XDyno or something similar since you have started modding.
I would like to! But $$$$

Try!!! at least one of them should survive ^^
Have you the kit to balance the crank?
@@matthewrowley2157 nope, im not doing this at pro level, just messing with sime cheap engines, I have been lucky so far
Which nova rossi crank fits?...any idea which model to buy...I'd like to switch the crank out and just modify the sleeve.....
This the one you used?
