I will gladly take 3 hours every morning to do this knot just to have my silk cloth around my neck stunt on the competition for no reason... F$%king legend.
I have never in my life seen a comment section so committed to being toxic towards ties. It's actually funny how pissed people get from simply styling a tie in different ways. Like bro, you don't have to do it, it's just a cool idea you can use. I personally wouldn't use it in the work place as some may have particular dress codes. I get that the Windsor tie is a default standard and people live by it and I don't blame them. But come on, being salty about ties? Seriously 🤣🤣
I hear you. I just want someone to agree with me that ties and 3 piece suits are exactly the same thing my great Grandfather wore in 1900 and to wear the same thing everyone else wears is childish and dumb. it looks like a different head on the same suit to me when I see people dressed identically. If people had real personalities, it wouldn't happen, but they don't.
I'm not main character or boss enough to wear any of them lmao but they would look great in a wedding function or something important like that! Good work!
I can't understand all the unpleasant comments here. If you dont like the knots then hit dislike and leave. Damn. Your knots are really cool Sir. I see how much you have practiced. Awesome skill. Dont let the comments bother you. 👍 Thank you for the video....one of my friends wears ties this way - pretty cool. And yes my friend is a Straight Gentleman
I’ve never worn or tied a tie, but I am impressed by the knot-tying/fabric-weaving artistry on display here. I especially appreciate how there’s a slight pause at each step so the viewer has a clear shot of positioning and the step to take next. Well done work on all levels of this video!
Wow, I'm amazed! Knowing how to tie such knots would be cool for special occasions such as weddings, work functions or prom. People whom have never had to wear a tie obviously don't get it. Nobody ever said these knots are for everyday use.
Great work. Despite what people are saying these obviously don't take long. He's literally doing them in real time and each one is just a couple minutes. It's not that much time. Also, if it's that much time then just make the knot and don't undo it. You can take ties on and off without undoing the knots....make the one you like once and just continuely rewear it. If you think it's too big you can just make the knot tighter and the knot will be smaller. I think it's just easier to see what he's doing by doing it looser but if you just tighten a little the size of the knot won't be as big. Lastly, these are not new. There are small books/pamphlets that have tons of ways to tie ties that are years old. My dad had one from when he bought his first tailored suit in his 20s. That was 60ish years ago. I'm going on 20 year memory but I'm sure the first knot and the red tie knot were in the booklet but they were called something else and next to each diagram it gave a list of "appropriate" reasons to tie it different ways. Windsor and half Windsor and the like are mainly business knots and were not necessarily used outside of business unless you were a "business man" and wanted people to know that regardless of function. Formal events generally had different neck adornments like the bow tie or a tie knotted in a fancy way or even some other decorative piece. (BTW bow ties can have fancy knots too.)
Absolutely dope! 😁👍🏻 youtube just randomly recommended this to me as they're like "ah, he'll watch anything at this point!" 😅 I'm glad they did though, cause this is a sick channel with tons of cool tie info! Very cool!
I can’t believe how controversial the people in the comments are making this video out to be. Its just a tie, wear them like this to an art show or a fancy dance or something damn

Awesome. I wear ties myself for "20th century bs can suck it" independance. Let me know and ill show up in the complimentary tie art just to get the conversations rollin.

wow. This is Knot Theory but for apparel. This level of Topology is impressive! As a woman, this is hot. I feel like this is for guys who graduated from MIT or men who make wayyyyyyy more money than the average person.
The problem with any knot other than the windsor is you end up having to explain to so many people "no, this wasn't a mistake, its a special kind of knot...yes, I know it looks weird. Yes, I know what a windsor is."
Y’know, the idea of tying these knots being non-masculine comes from the perspective of someone who can barely tie their shoes. Knot-tying is a very useful skill, and it used to be implied that if you could tie these knots, you could tie most any knot you encountered. Theoretically, this still proves that, in the sense that you can learn such difficult knots.
extremely useful for hunters, fishers, etc and many old warrior castes in many cultures would tie hair, tie things onto their armors, braid all sorts of things. I myself don't like ties but I did click the video to see the scale one.
If only I had the hand dexterity for this. Also, for all the whiny babies in the comments, as a woman if I seen a guy with ties like this I'd much rather talk to him because holy fuck he must've spent ages doing all this. Y'all think this looks silly but at the end of the day this still requires actual skill.
i love how the comments are divided either into haters or people who are fond of the creativity the video has to offer and comment on the haters…. and i agree with the second group because seriously guys why tf are you getting so peeved over a video that has actually nice content lmao
Quite a work of art, but there is no way I can do this everyday.... maybe on a special occasion, but I would get late if I were to make a fancy tie everyday..
Why undo the tie? They loosen and tighten without taking the knot apart. Tie it once then just slip it on and off every day.... the butterfly is the only one out of these you'd have to partially undo I think.
my friends thought it was cool and asked me how to do it but i didn't remember🤦 and its pretty hard with the type of ties at my school, wouldn't do it again tbh teachers said i had to wear it normally
The first one is a Windsor tie with a couple extra steps at the end and almost looks like a weird sort of flower at the end so I called it Windsor's Rose but the Intrinity knot sounds cool too lol. I am curious now though. Has anyone else heard of these ways to tie but under different names? I think it'd be fun to see how many different things you'd call the same knot. So the problem being here, is you talking like it said something else entirely and you basing an entire argument around that but really it's not an argument it's an excuse to justify the video being painted in a negative light by a vocal minority, which I might say, very petty, near malicious people by the way but I guess... What other way would you want it? Is it so rare to find that the majority of people, apart from some neurodivergent ones would have the common sense not to wear these ties in a formal and important setting? Would you prefer a "ties code of authority" to censor the video?
pretty impressive. a decent and elegant way to be extra. i like it
when u glance at these ties. they look amazing, but the longer u look u come to realize that only the classic will ever look good
I will gladly take 3 hours every morning to do this knot just to have my silk cloth around my neck stunt on the competition for no reason...
I can't wait to hold on this knowledge for 12 years just to use it for 1 time ever and get a simple "wow thats cool"
You can take that compliment to the grave tho
I'm not main character or boss enough to wear any of them lmao but they would look great in a wedding function or something important like that! Good work!
I can't understand all the unpleasant comments here. If you dont like the knots then hit dislike and leave. Damn.
Your knots are really cool Sir. I see how much you have practiced. Awesome skill.
Dont let the comments bother you. 👍
Thank you for the video....one of my friends wears ties this way - pretty cool.
And yes my friend is a Straight Gentleman
actually makes me want to try out ties again ^^
good shit
her : how long do u need to tie a tie?
me : it's complicated
So this is what the dream feels like , this is the victory we wanted , this is dream we saw
I’ve never worn or tied a tie, but I am impressed by the knot-tying/fabric-weaving artistry on display here. I especially appreciate how there’s a slight pause at each step so the viewer has a clear shot of positioning and the step to take next. Well done work on all levels of this video!
I'm definitely using one of these in a funeral
If somebody doesn't have one of this knots at my funeral, i'm not comming.
Make it your own
Idk why so many people here need to diss the tie designs. Just enjoy the art behind the tieing of knots.
I hate ties but damn I wouldn't mind dressing up more just to do different versions. This is beautiful art.
Same lol
Wow, I'm amazed! Knowing how to tie such knots would be cool for special occasions such as weddings, work functions or prom. People whom have never had to wear a tie obviously don't get it. Nobody ever said these knots are for everyday use.
Great knots, there are more to try as well. ANyone who thinks these are bad has ZERO taste and no imagination.
These are great ideas for all my 35 ft ties
Just what I was thinking, what's the use of a fancy knot if your tie is hilariously short😂
God damn whats up with the comments on this video I don't get it great video btw
And now I'm excited I bought those estate sale ties. Can't wait to experiment with some of the textured ties.😍 Thanks!
This is what UA-cam really is for.
Amazing ideas!
Yes 🤩
Yes
Absolutely dope! 😁👍🏻 youtube just randomly recommended this to me as they're like "ah, he'll watch anything at this point!" 😅 I'm glad they did though, cause this is a sick channel with tons of cool tie info! Very cool!
Dang! That first one looks awesome!
Dude just made ties shaped like devil fruit and im all for it
Yes
I can’t believe how controversial the people in the comments are making this video out to be. Its just a tie, wear them like this to an art show or a fancy dance or something damn
People are really hating on this for absolutely no reason
It's true. I don't force anyone to tie their neckties one of this ways. I just show people that this knots exist, but if you don't like - okey.
These are a hell lot more fun than normal ties imo, while they seem less professional, the wearer is atleast more fun heh
Personally prefer the Intrinity one :D
Imagine doing one of these fancy knots. Then you discover that you made it to short and have to start all over.
Bro I still do that even with basic knots all the time. It’s like half the reason I always wear a vest.
I was just wondering: Are this man's ties 2 meters long? 😁
All the snobby comments on this video remind me of why I refuse to wear a suit and tie. I’d rather look like a commoner than be lopped in with these monkeys.
That being said, these knots are really cool, and if I ever do wear a suit, I will use one of these knots, both because I like them and to potentially piss off some fancy snobs.
Awesome. I wear ties myself for "20th century bs can suck it" independance. Let me know and ill show up in the complimentary tie art just to get the conversations rollin.
2h50, insomnia, getting lost on youtube, seeing this incredible video... This is the life I decided to lead
fucking same
I love ties. I have almost 80 going back to the 1930's. It is a great way to Express oneself.
And collect ties.
"How much slack do you need for the Intrinity Knot?"
"Yes"
The infinity stones of ties I see. Thanos will be most pleased 😂😂
Thanos going for a job interview..
Now I have so many different ways to tie my Ravenclaw tie
Me: I don't know what to think about these knots.
(Reads all those comments where people are mean for no reason)
Me: BEST KNOTS EVER, BEAUTIFUL, PERFECT, 10/10
WOW! Now I'm gonna use these ties to show off in college. Thanks a lot. :)
Cool👍 I am glad that you appreciate my knots😊
Your college friends will be very surprised 100%
@@howtotieatie1370 💋
Because your grades sure aren’t impressing anyone lol
This is wonderful, I got so excited to tie a tie, unfortunately though, you do need an extra length tie and not a normal 1.5m/5foot tie
I did all of these with my normal length tie, just experiment!
wow. This is Knot Theory but for apparel. This level of Topology is impressive! As a woman, this is hot. I feel like this is for guys who graduated from MIT or men who make wayyyyyyy more money than the average person.
Yeah you prob would see one of these at an important luxurious ceremony. I think they would look cool with the proper suit.
@@jr6366 Yeah, I've got family that hunts & fishes. I camp, so lashings are useful for me.
TRUE
Something that none of them have.
We love a person who’s good with their hands 😌
It's 5 am and I'm here watching interesting ways to tie
Imagine coming late to your work and explaining this video to your boss
Well if you wake up earlier then you won't be late
i love how the comments are divided either into haters or people who are fond of the creativity the video has to offer and comment on the haters…. and i agree with the second group because seriously guys why tf are you getting so peeved over a video that has actually nice content lmao
well oh be darn, there simple and cool asf. next time I do a jazz gig, I'm using that trinity knot.
Trinity is my default tie
DAMN.... I wish I knew this 20 years ago.... seriously.... in my line of work... this would have made a big difference...
Here trying to learn how to tie a tie for my little brother.
I am watching this at 1;30 am and I don’t even have ties
Amazing
Those knots look hilarious 😂
Kinda like your username.
I highly dislike the butterfly knot but thanks for the lesson all the others are amazing 🔥
Huh, that was the only one I thought I could pull off. Interesting.
I'm hungry as hell...I don't know why I'm watching...very creative tho
they all look pretty cool, i think ill try wearing the trinity knot to school to see if anyone notices lol
Tell me how that goes if you don’t mind
my friends thought it was cool and asked me how to do it but i didn't remember🤦 and its pretty hard with the type of ties at my school, wouldn't do it again tbh teachers said i had to wear it normally
I'll be using these styles for my hubby! Thank you! 😊
And where will you be relocating his manhood?
The first one is a Windsor tie with a couple extra steps at the end and almost looks like a weird sort of flower at the end so I called it Windsor's Rose but the Intrinity knot sounds cool too lol. I am curious now though. Has anyone else heard of these ways to tie but under different names? I think it'd be fun to see how many different things you'd call the same knot. Anyway, have a great day gents. Stay classy

(Edit): seriously though, beautiful work with the ties. I love the unique ideas and I'm definitely trying a few out next time I have an excuse to wear a tie 😂
