    00:00 Intro.
    04:00 Manual V-score.
    10:30 Manual Mouse Bites.
    11:57 How to use KiKit.
    21:30 Outro.
In this video, we look at KiCad V6 and how to create panels.
We look at how to do it manually and how to use a Plugin called KiKit.
Looking at V-scores and mouse bits. Looking at doing it the long way and the short way with a plugin :)
    Please note:
I am aware that I said I will show how to do many boards on one panel but will make a different video for that as the video would be way too long. and I will definitely look at improving the sound, with the new baby, had to move the recording a bit around and the new space is a bit noisy and not ideal. But working on it :)

Found your tutorial today, and I was able to produce a panel after a few tries. Had to download the plugin manually, but worked as you explained. Than you so much!

I really hope you can do more videos... I learned a lot from what you do..
I even have redesigned a board you made.
Did you ever get your quad copter PCB working? I was wondering if the
MPU6050 was too close to the esp's antenna? I moved it as far away from the antenna as I could...
Also another thing I have done. There is a problem when you connect RX to TX, the net names change. The fix is to connect RX to TX with a zero ohm resistor, but that makes 2 extra parts to place.. So I designed a zero ohm jumper that is the same width as the trace.
What I did was make a custom zero ohm resistor symbol,
then hard-link it to a custom footprint of a jumper.
You have to make a special rule of which pads are allowed to be electrically connected to another pad. Just enter: 1,2
Then make a copper rectangle that fills the space between the 2 pads.
You also need to make the pads long enough that it is longer than the (pad space zone)

One feature of note is that Kikit supplies a component you can use to deliberately indicate where you want the mousebites to be located. This way, you avoid having Kikit auto place the mousebites some place that conflicts with your components, like biting a bit too close to some tracks, or close to some components that might be harmed by the stress of snapping the perforations. (At least, this is a feature in the version I am using, which is not the latest, so I'm hoping its still there!)

Thank you very much. Very helpful and informative. I tried to panelise a board with rounded edges and I was wondering why it is giving me an error for a while, made the corners straight 90 and vola I have my panelisation done. Have fun.

For the external perimeter of your PCB (before panelization) - do you use layer User.Drawings - or Edge Cuts?
I have a challenge trying to panelize a number of round PCB's for jlcpcb - where I also would like some smt assemble... And at the moment I have difficulties figuring out how to generate those data... But this is a step i the right direction :-)

    Hello PlumPot,
Did you try to place the mousebites with the "annotation" option ?
I cannot have it working 😞
Thanks for your video ! 👍👍

Hi Matthew. Yeah something seems up I get a notification about a comment and then when I try and view it's gone. This one I got though not sure what's going on

I've noticed comments disappearing if they contain links. Not sure if that's a UA-cam-wide policy, or a setting on the channel.
