Didn’t expect to see so many people on board an African airline. It’s great that Simply Aviation fly to exotic places on different little airlines and make tripreport about them. That’s one of the things why Simply Aviation is one of the best aviation channels on UA-cam 😀
Didn't expect to see my home airline being featured here 😂🙌🏾 Hope you enjoyed our hospitality and can't wait for your Malawian 737 vídeo. Khalani ndi ulendo wabwino 🇲🇼🇲🇼🇲🇼
An unexpected surprise: Thank you! It's really fun to watch trip reports covering less-traveled airports and airlines, especially in Africa. I don't know if Malawi Airlines is related to a much earlier namesake airline, Air Malawi. In the late 90s, Air Malawi operated a 737 classic (not sure if it was a -300 or -400) and an ATR-42. The carrier may have had more had more than two aircraft in its fleet, but it was a pretty modest company. I flew with a friend from Blantyre to Harare in Zimbabwe in the ATR-42. A memorable flight, for sure.
I am so thankful for covering Malawi Airlines. I hope you enjoyed our little offering from the Warm Heart of Africa! Malawian Aviators look forward to your 737 review and encourage other aviation vloggers to give Malawi Airlines a try! 😅
There are many horror stories about small African airlines, and even some large ones, but that plane was impeccably clean and well-maintained (which is more than can be said of some European and North American airlines) and the service looked totally professional. Well done, Malawi Airlines and your Ethiopian consultants!
Malawi.. I would love to travel there someday 😍. About the name, it reminds me of an incident when I was working for an O&G project in Malaysia. We were wtg for the original shpg docs to be couriered from the States, ended up it was routed to Malawi. Upon further inquiry, it was a sheer human error, instead of mentioning Malaysia, the person sending the courier mistook it for Malawi 🤪.
I like the fact that Ethiopian airlines are investing in, and getting involved with, smaller African airlines to help them progress......... it's a brilliant idea if you ask me.
Nice review Felix! Glad you took your time to review our airline. we are the warm heart of Africa and I sincerely hope you enjoyed our hospitality Ngakhale ndegezi sizathu koma nkhasako ku malawi kuli ndege
I'm a Malawian citizen and aviation is just too sad💔😂. Our Airline is operated by Ethiopian airlines. We have two planes. This one and a Boeing 737. Most of us dont even fly here as it is expensive. And i myself has never flown before but im looking forward to my first flight thou. I pray things will change fir the better. And the airports are outdated especially chileka. But glad you did a video on our Airlines as im a dan of this channel and didnt know about this video.
Hi, get to see the Victoria falls in Livingstone, Zambia. Then u can do a trip report on either Proflight on their Jet-stream41's or the new Zambia Airways on the Q400 like u just did. btn Lusaka and Livingstone. All the same, enjoy ure stay in Africa.
Good blog but Felix please put a shaded area behind the text as a lot of it blends into the background, it really let's down a good video, more and more are doing it now. Thanks
Simply aviation flies a lot of Africa routes even west Africa routes as well but haven't done a trip report to the giant of Africa NIGERIA Please we would love a trip report to Nigeria Thanks 😊
Did they just simply intercept connecting pax and board them on a tarmac!!?? Never seen something like this before. If u have only carry on then it’s not to worry. But… if you have checked bag, finger cross that your bag will arrive at your final destination. All in all… love the flight review especially on some rare one like this
I was wondering the same thing. Do they separate the connecting pax on the tarmac? And what about the people continuing domestically to Blantyre (do they stay on board)? I believe they only build in a 30 min stop in Lilongwe
@@ronsonadams I think for those continue to Blantyre can stay on board and they will clear immigration there. I don’t think they have any local joining from LLW.
A man once went into the cockpit of a Dash-8 400 and took off. The air traffic controllers tried to stop him since he was doing something illegal and very crazy but he ignored them. He then proceeded to do various aerobatic maneuvers that no pilot should EVER do in a Dash-8 since the plane is designed for passengers not stunts. Then he crashed it into a lake and committed suicide. Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air lost one of their planes to some crazed idiot
I am happy that Simply Aviation does famous airlines but also exotic airlines

They say that their goal is to rewiev every single airline one day
Yes, this is the best aviation airline.
Sometimes Africans do use aircrafts
You are right , simply aviation is the best.
Some people think Africa is just a jungle 🤣🤣🤣 we have all we need

Muli Bwanji! I enjoyed my time in Malawi a few years ago. Wonderful people -- modest in material things, but strong in spirit and kindness.

So interesting why Malawi and Ethiopian share their IATA...
ET has a majority share in the company with all the planes, maintenance & leadership support in establishing from the ground up.
First
Fun fact: the airline only operates on 2 aircrafts
Hey! Anybody knows how to smoothen the audio when transitioning from one clip to another when editing?
because this one is really smooth, really like it!
I only heard of Malawi because of Madonna's charity.
