Would the ASWB exam be considered a low test -retest reliability example since you are only allowed to test after 90 days if you fail? (Also the same test is not administered each time you test.)
@@Charis24 Thank you! LMSW. I have to be honest. I believe this test to be a horrible way to assess the knowledge we have. The questions are poorly and awkwardly written by committee, and the content is all over the place. That being said, I used the Apgar book which I didn't feel to be that great. It was able to get me though gaps from my University. I find that book incredibly disorganized and gives no tips on how to take the actual test. I also went over the Code with a fine tooth comb. I wrote out all my sequencing, "EAPIET....Explore, Assess, Plan, Intervene, Evaluate, Terminate" as well as the 6 Core Values, Erickson, Piaget, Freud Psychosexual stages on the scratch note board. I believe the rest is about not letting the questions make you feel like you're losing your mind. You know this stuff. You know the DSM. I personally was not up on community and policy based programming (which was very heavy asked) as much as lets say the DSM and that's where you need to just figure out what the heck they are asking. Best of luck and you'll do it.
I agree the exam is all over the place. I have taken and failed five times. The last two I was away for one point. I agree the Apgar book doesn't help much. It has a lot of material but nothing about breaking the questions down. I will try again in August. Thank you for your advice.
@@Charis24 Oh for peets sake, it's such a money making scam. You have to be able to read these ridiculous questions fast and not get pulled into any. other direction. Keep it simple.
Thank you for sharing! I passed my exam today ♥️
All of your videos were extremely helpful!! I passed my exam

Based on my graduate program, the LCSW exam has LOW content validity.

I would think the poor reliability, poor validity example would be good reliability, poor validity because its consistently outside the mark :p
