  • Ayr is a large seaside town in Ayrshire overlooking the Firth of Clyde and is 37 miles south west of Glasgow. This is our drive along along the A719 to what is now called Trump Turnberry and the car park for the golf courses there.
Unusually for us, I've left footage in from where we started our journey, the petrol station of Morrison's in the centre of Ayr and I've not edited out our comments as we try and find our way out and on to the A719. As you'll gather, we like manners from car drivers.
The road itself, whilst not my favourite in the area, is still worth a drive, especially when it rises up the hillside near Denure giving beautiful views of the Firth of Clyde and the Isle of Arran in the distance. Like most roads in this area, holes abound everywhere as councils struggle to find the funding to fill them. Watch out for them or you could do some damage to either your tyres or suspension.
Enjoy. We did, and thanks for watching.
