Don't get me wrong, they're doing what they're told, removing the requested items and giving the offender a punishment, which is I guess, fair enough. But going as far as DELETING ACCOUNTS is just way too far.
Kids are known for doing stupid stuff so why should I get punished for what I did before

The fact that people weren’t warned about this for their account safety would be blamed on Roblox. If Roblox would talk about now and not give any chances to remove the models, then that is on Roblox. Even if they do have to learn a lesson, they shouldn’t just be suspended for such small stuff.

Roblox is getting so bad that almost all of kreekcrafts most recent videos are just complaining about how bad it’s gotten and I don’t blame him.
edit: Just to clarify, I’m not saying that Roblox shouldn’t listen to the DMCA strikes, I’m simply saying that there’s far better ways to handle this situation then they did. For example, like kreek mentioned in the video, it would be extremely helpful to be able to delete the asset and maybe a little warning to tell you to get rid of the item before they delete the account. Another example, maybe a stricter moderation system that filters out copyrighted stuff, it doesn’t even have to be that complicated. It can just be a code that looks for branding from other companies, this would be far better then what Roblox is doing now (which is nothing) and would highly reduce the number of copyrighted content on Roblox. All in all, Roblox needs to drastically change the way they handle situations. PS am I the only one who is noticing the amount of random features Roblox keeps announcing that literally nobody wants?

The problem IS the copyright police. If it’s over a certain amount of years, the DMCA should not be allowed. This is getting stupid now.

Honestly Roblox's lack of the delete button also violates the GDPR act, so you could literally sue Roblox if your account gets deleted for an item that was uploaded as a kid.

That is way too far Roblox, some were kids and didn't know what copyright was.
For me the problem is, somebody might want say a Spider-Man shirt and there wasn’t any that was good. They could then create one for them to wear and then now they just get terminated.
The worst part is, if you guys have a lot of those clothings, the roblox support form has a character limit meaning you can't even send all the links and you have to send more emails to them with more links

This is a massive issue as there is literally nothing you can do about it. The fact that roblox is DMCA striking people for a shirt they made 10 years ago is crazy. A thing roblox could do in the future is scanning the shirt when you upload if for copyright, as this could save hundreds of millions of accounts.

A good reason why they don’t have a delete button is because if 100K+ people have bought a specific shirt and then the uploader of the shirt just deletes it out of nowhere, then all those players won’t have the shirt anymore and just basically lost robux lmao

In my inventory I'm already seeing a few copyrighted t shirts getting deleted and I can't seem to Find it or wear it meaning that not only the UGC creators are the ones getting affected but the purchasers who can't get their item or robux back 😢
the thing about it is that they can remove copyrighted shirts instead of just DELETING peoples accounts. everyday roblox makes a new update and ends up making their game even worse. at this point, i don’t even know if i should keep playing roblox. there’s no new games, there’s always bad updates like this, etc.

Solution is that Roblox should take a look on copyrighted items created date, then delete the item and gives only verbal warn instead of terminating account.
Also, we can’t even archive not just clothing but images! Found in development section.

Honestly I'm not that surprised anymore. I remember a time when their slogan was "powering imagination", now all they do is limit imagination. Would've been easier to add a system where the clothing could be allowed under fair use when you create clothing or items in general.

Roblox should add the delete button but at that point whoever bought your item would be scammed. But at that point Roblox does do the refund thing and they should do it for the delete button also.
The reason people can’t delete their items is because people could’ve bought the item and have it deleted in their inventory without a refund

In my opinion banning accounts is way too far. Roblox should probably have like a pop up saying that “This item/clothing is copyrighted and your account maybe at risk” because if they don’t want copyrighted stuff then it’s worth it. And they should have delete button.

Moral of the story: Copyright strikes are inevitable.
I already send a removal request over a year ago, they said within 30 day and NONE are removed of the platform. I got time to get DMCA takedown by ikea since last request of content removal i did. They just want you to get your account terminated and make 100% of the profit of everything else you build for them.
these companys should take action on roblox, not us. after all roblox is the one letting these shirts and items into their game.
Well isn't that nice. Having an account be terminated because of something the user did back during a time when that was allowed just isn't right to me. Maybe instead of just terminating these people outright, perhaps they should give a warning to the people responsible for uploading copyrighted content whilst deleting the thing they posted themselves. That to me seems more fair than outright banning accounts that weren't doing anything wrong until a sudden change in rules came out of nowhere. I just hope this mistake gets fixed, but it most likely won't.

the thing is why are these being taken down now when they've up for years? i think it would've been handled better if this happened much earlier, because after that would've happened these big creators wouldn't lose their accounts.
so that's why some of my clothing items I BOUGHT disappears from my inventory and can never be worn again cause of the copy right or inappropriate reasons. and you know what's crazy about that? YOU GET NO FREAKING REFUND! why are you getting no refund? Roblox needs to refund you. I would talk to support but talking to support is like talking to a brick wall.
They probably don’t let you delete your shirt because if somebody bought that shirt then you deleted it, it would be hard to get their robux back that they spent. So that could lead to drama about people wanting their robux back because the item they bought was deleted so they five or ten robux goes to waste

Omg i'm soo lucky, i had a branded shirt but it got deleted and my other copyrighted shirts aren't branded.
im pretty sure sanctioning someone fore an action that happened in the past that is now in the present day becoming illegal because of a new law (or rule in this case ) is illegal in its own way and im also sure there is a law against that. Or at least there’s one in Canada and if not mistaken in The USA too I have no idea if it applies for other countries

Being able to just delete items that you put for sale could also be used with bad intentions. I cant think of any good right now but said feature sounds kind of exploitable so I understand why it is not a thing.

4:25 there is a way to delete clothing if you click configure and click the three dots you will see a button called delete if you click it its gone from the inv and marketplace

You can archive items, After you archive an asset, it disappears from the website and is no longer usable or visible in Roblox experiences, including your own. Maybe you can look into it? See if it’ll prevent a DMCA-prevent account deletion ?

Jeez, Roblox has gone WAY too far. Since a lot of Roblox shirt creators have logos from companies, brands, etc. They could've just warned the account of the shirt, or T-shirt. And the fact you have to email Roblox support? They could've just added a delete shirt or T-shirt. And not just straight up delete your account without any warnings.
TIP: To delete something, try to archive it (delete texture) or you could rename it to [Content Deleted] and so is the desc.

There's actually a bug where it says that it failed to download or critical settings and I know how to fix it, search it up if you ever get it.
You actually can delete the stuf, if you hold your mouse on the picture of the thing, click the three dots and it says DELETE. So Kreek you actually delete it.

The reason that you can’t delete items ,that you made, off of Roblox is because once it goes on sell, players have the opportunity to buy that product. Therefore the player that bought the product keeps that item forever unless that person sells it to someone else. The only way for this to stop is, as kreek said, is for the Roblox Corp. to delete it off of Roblox
maybe if roblox just... well... deleted the item instead of the account and warned the user... this wouldn't be as bad as it is.

It is unlikely that you will see this, but I wanted to explain why Roblox does not allow users to delete items.

Each item on Roblox is identified by a unique ID, which is associated with a shirt, pants or t-shirt.

If a user deletes one of these items, then all other items with the ID after your ID would need to be updated. This would cause a lot of strain on the servers and could potentially lead to issues.

However, there is a solution to this problem. Roblox could assign the smallest available ID number to new items, which would eliminate the need to update all other IDs.
