Conflict resolution seems to be incredibly challenging in any community, especially when individual values shift from the original vision. I've been following the experiences of intentional communities such as Whole Village near Orangeville, Ontario. Planning began in the mid 1990s and the community has been evolving ever since.

Values matter. In particular "the vision" seems to matter the most. People may have similar values, but may have very different ways to go about living with those values... which create conflicts.
The vision is *how* to engage in a community setting to manifest common values.
