Some came on transit visas, which meant that they stayed in Britain temporarily, while waiting to be accepted by another country. Others entered the country by having obtained employment or a guarantor, or via Kindertransport. There were about 70,000 Jewish refugees who were accepted into Britain by the start of World War II on 1 September 1939, and an additional 10,000 people who made it to Britain during the war.
Hitler came into power in Germany in 1933,[1] when there were about 523,000 German Jews, or less than 1% of the country's population.[2] Subject to threats and persecution, Jews began to emigrate from that point until the start of World War II in 1939. During this time, more than 117,000 Jews left Austria and more than 300,000 left Germany. Most of these Jews, many young, were trained in a field or college educated. [1][2][a] Key decision-making factors about whether Jews would emigrate were whether they owned businesses, which were subject to Nazi-sponsored boycotts; if they were among the civil servants who had lost their jobs; and the degree to which they were politically active.[2] Initially, Germany encouraged Jews to leave, then they restricted the amount of money they could take from German banks and imposed high emigration taxes. The German government forbade emigration after October 1941. The German Jews who remained, about 163,000 in Germany and less than 57,000 from annexed Austria, were mostly elderly, and were murdered in ghettos or taken to Nazi concentration camps, where most of them also died.[2] Although Jews could easily leave Germany initially, it was difficult to find countries in which they could live, particularly after accepting the initial wave of immigrants in Europe, Britain, and the United States.[2]

I once met a 65 years old Ukrainian Afghan war vet who wanted to join the war against Russia but they refused him because he was too old. He told me a story about his service in Afghanistan: He was doing his mandatory 1.5 year service in Afghanistan when him and his squad were dropped off by a truck at an unknwon location in the middle of nowhere, where a helicopter was supposed to pick them up. The helicopter did not appear for several days. Eventually they followed standard procedure and marched to the nearest base through Taliban controlled territory, surviving miraculously. At the gates they get arrested, accused for being traitors. They beat and interrogate them every day for a week until they somehow find out the Colonel had made a deal the Taliban to have them captured and executed. The corrupt Russian colonel had been dumping truck after truck after truck of soldiers into Taliban territory where they were being executed in planned attacks while they were waiting for somebdoy to come save them, weakened after several days with no food or water in the Afghan heat. At base the Colonel would accuse them of desertion so that nobody would ever look for them. All for money. That is true evil.

Improbable. The situation in Corea mainly stems from both US and China primarily wanting no trouble from the border, so North Corea grudgingly behaves.
[1][2][a] Key decision-making factors about whether Jews would emigrate were whether they owned businesses, which were subject to Nazi-sponsored boycotts; if they were among the civil servants who had lost their jobs; and the degree to which they were politically active.[2]
Initially, Germany encouraged Jews to leave, then they restricted the amount of money they could take from German banks and imposed high emigration taxes.

He simply can't hold kursk for long. He is wasting much begged aid and war hardware in foolish operations.
His mentors should prevent him from such actions.
One idea behind it may be to get Russian forces fighting in the east to move north, slowing their push in the east.

Fsb and general says to putin let's ukraine take russia ?? Who the hell is this guy?
I once met a 65 years old Ukrainian Afghan war vet who wanted to join the war against Russia but they refused him because he was too old. He told me a story about his service in Afghanistan:
He was doing his mandatory 1.5 year service in Afghanistan when him and his squad were dropped off by a truck at an unknwon location in the middle of nowhere, where a helicopter was supposed to pick them up.
So the colonel was making money from the Taliban?
Looks like a fake story, those ukrainians are all comedians.

why do i get the feeling its going to end in a stalemate much like north and south korea where the Ukrainian territory "liberated" by putin is the same as russian land lost to zelensky, therefore making the entire conflict utterly pointless in every regard? looking forward to visit the slavic DMZ tho as tourist in 10 years.
I don’t believe that. Russia has said it won’t negotiate. Russia pushes on relentlessly on all fronts in Ukraine and I don’t see them stopping.
@projectedone Crap! Propaganda no one is buying anymore
No way . Russia won’t need it
Improbable. The situation in Corea mainly stems from both US and China primarily wanting no trouble from the border, so North Corea grudgingly behaves.
In Ukraine, a stalemate means "come back for part 2 in 10 or 20 years". Any solution with an independent Ukraine not a Nato member is a guarantee a sequel.
I don't think it's that likely actually because the terrible shape that Russia is in, something is going to give. Also we've seen what the Ukrainians are capable of, they would probably go for Moscow if they have to.
Is this guy expecting police officers to stand up to the Ukrainian Army?
