Haha thanks mate it works a bloody charm! Get a few looks having a clean car up here 😆 The set up has made it so comfortable! Really appreciate it guys thanks for watching 🙌🏼
Hi guys i done the Bloomfield track back in 1990 with an old van we were going to the lions den area, and the only thing that made it was the van chassis the body just shock loss it was that bad a road. those step areas of road that are concrete only had loss gravel, but it was lots of fun. have fun guys.
What is really good about this adventure and many of your others is you are taking the time to let down tyres. And showing what pressures to let them down to. So frustrating when people don’t do it and then complain about the rough ride or getting punctures.
Oh thanks mate! We are always adjusting pressures and driving to conditions and your right it’s a big issue you see all the time! I’d rather rock up an hour later then track all my gear or risk days or weeks for repairs haha! Thanks for watching Paul!
Hey guys, great informative vid. The water was absolutely beautiful, dream spot. Definitely subscribing. Thanks for sharing your travels. Cheers Marg & Steve
Great vid, we too, did the whole Bloomfield track towing our caravan with our patrol last year (but the opposite way, leaving from Lions Den) and it was epic. How good is a stainless snorkel up those hills! :) Safe travels..
Thanks guys! We will be heading that way on our way back to cairns, such a good drive! Haha makes it sound so good with the window down! Thanks for watching guys!
@@Travellingcampers thanks mate. loving the videos. you were almost as excited as I was when I got to the top of Calcup Hill here in WA! Hopefully you went back down and did it again to prove it wasn't a first time fluke!!!! :-) Lotus looks like a nice piece of kit - may sway me away from Jayco at this rate 🙂
Ahh Hahn River, best place to stay. The owners are bloody awsome and Ozzy the emu loves the attention. Our lion den experience wasnt great. Have a ball guys.
Yeah exactly guys we are guilty it’s something we should of had for ages! Even just the piece of mind is worth it and allowing family to still chat whilst we are off grid! Thanks heaps for watching!
I really enjoy watching your videos. It’s lovely to see your golden being so well looked after with her raw foods and backseat set up. She is living her best golden life 😁
Thanks Emma! She’s our baby and we give her the best life that she deserves and do everything we can to keep her around the longest! The absolute golden life 😍 Thanks for watching Emma!
Might be different now, but one thing that caught me out about the Bloomfield track is the tree canopy blocks a lot of light so you cant pick up holes in the road until its too late.
The holes in the track honestly weren’t that bad the track was extremely well looked after! We did it three years ago and was much more easier and wider! Thanks for watching Cassius!
Great episode Josh n Mikayla! Don't quite understand why you got rid of the dirt at Bramwell when you are about to collect a whole lot more! 😂 Geez, that one guy in the comments is a bit of a Negative Neville. Don't worry about it, I'm sure your loyal fans (like my wife and I 😉), who watch weekly, know the level of care you take. Stay safe guys!
Thanks mate! Haha bit extreme for some but it calms my OCD haha! Yeah you will always get people that aren’t happy in their lives and try bring out the negatives of yours mate 😆 Thanks so much for being loyal fans guys we appreciate you and see you next week!
Hey, I've been watching all your videos from the beginning. My dog has a really bad flatulence problem. Does your dog have the same issue? In a confined place like that it couldn't be good. I'm sure you have had at some time have needed to evacuate. 😂
Hey guys, great episode. Wondering why you titled the thumbnail, Regretting taking the van through this track? Is that because you wish you swagged or tented for the great camp spots on the OTT or because you damaged the van elsewhere going up the PDR?
Thanks mate! It’s because the question gets asked all the time about taking a van through the bloomfield as it’s not ‘recommended’ it’s the absolute best doing cape with a caravan! Enjoy mate
Hats off to you both - awesome area and on our bucket list to cross off. Your vids are awesome and getting better each week! We are taking our two boys when we set off so will be doing areas that allow dogs or free camp. As for raw food I know she is big but we feed ours BIGDOG in either Kanga or Salmon - has veges and fruit mixed in and they love it - simple to pack in the car freezer as packaged in individual serves
Thanks heaps mate, we really appreciate it! Nothing beats being able to take your dog with you, we couldn't imagine it without her! Yeah Big Dog is the brand we got for Jorja from pet stock! Think this might be our new goto for her, makes raw feeding so much easier! Cheers for watching mate, glad you enjoyed it! 🍻
awsome vid Guys a question if I may tho you mentioned you 91 unleaded was 2.50 or something like that I would have thought you would use at least 95 or even 98? how does the patrol run on 91 if thats what you use?
Hey mate! No 98 octane up at the Cape unfortunately and only had 91 at Coen. Can get 95 once you at up at Bamaga! They run fine on 91 mate I only put it in when I have to but I know people that run only 91! I always try try 98 or atleast 95 but it’s handy knowing 91 is fine in remote area, hope that helps!
The red dirt stuck in the silicone on the van puts my ocd into overdrive i could never find a solution to remove it. The blower is a great idea I never thought of that.
Yeah bloody oath thank god because we didn’t drive in the wet or anything it’s all come off the silicone no dramas! It’s a bloody brilliant idea haha give it a try! Thanks for watching mate!
Hey mate! Yeah no dramas actually I have the reverse camera on the van so I can clearly see everything! I’m waiting for the new msa ones to come out with the electric folding and I’ll grab a set of them I reckon!
Hey guys, do you have dust reduction in the van. If so which one and how did it go. I would love to drive up that far but we only have a semi-off-road and the hubby isn’t too keen 😛
Heya! Yeah we do! We also did the cape 3 years ago in a semi off-road van with no dust reduction. The roads are so good at the moment and so much more bitumen! Just tell him you will drive haha 😉
Hey mate it’s the 300w kickass panel we have two of them and really like them! Put out some great power I get 17-18 amps per panel, they are a touch big and bulky but gives me what I wanted!
Hey Tracy! We aren’t really on any types of repeats or anything but most doctors do e-scripts so a quick phone appointment and it comes straight to your phone to scan at the chemist. We did this with some of the medication after my knee surgery for when we were back on the road. Super easy! Thanks for watching!
Good videos guys... You were going to do a video on the pros and cons of travelling with the dog... did you do this? Did I miss it, any update on this video? Cheers
Did you say you went up the concreted incline in 4wd low range? If so, you’re making a huge mistake mate. This will be detrimental if you continue doing it. You’ll most definitely run the risk of spinning an axle, or destroying your CV. Or worst doing your front differential! 4wd is only designed to operate on loose surfaces to allow all four wheels to have slip independently.
Hey mate 100% as that’s why there is a low range sign at the bottom of the hill! I know what you mean, you aren’t really turning at all this is where the damage is done of being in tow range on a road. Do you not put it in 4 low when climbing non slippery rock climbs 🤔 Could be a different story for a 70 series but I know what you mean and appreciate the input, you definitely need low range to tow up these. Thanks for watching
Even if another car is coming you are doing the same thing mate 🤷🏼♂️ The track is well wide enough for cars with trailers for most parts of the track. Thanks for watching mate!
Thanks for watching guys! Let us know your favourite parts of this weeks episode! Happy Sunday! Josh and Mikayla ❤️
