This is probably the best interview I've ever seen with her. He actually asked her some questions that didn't devalue her as a person or sexualized her. Most of the interviews with Britney, they treated her like shit. It's literally the SAME questions in a lot of interviews around this time. First one I've seen that had thought provoking questions and VALID questions.

I have always said that Britney was the Marilyn Monroe of the new millennia.
This is the saddest interview considering what happened to her later. She speaks so highly of her family but those people imprisoned her and took her sanity away. She was so mature and level-headed at that young age, yet so many wrong decisions, no support system, and the monstrosity of that conservatorship turned this lovely smart girl into whatever she is today. It's a tragedy really. I only wish her happiness now but that spark and joy she had here seems to be gone for good.

At this point of her career, she was the most beautiful person in the world and the happiest she's ever been. If only I can go back in time, I'll hold her tight and tell her everything that's going to happen in the next 6 years. I know it's weird, but who doesn't want to save her? If you know it's going to happen to someone, you'll do anything to save them. And if really given the chance, I'll tell her that.

George always leans over like that..check other interviews he's done..same posture. But the chairs were weird (arm rests were so high!) and should have been farther apart a bit

This guy was being so deep like he knew where she was heading.
Some of the answers she gave to these questions -- the ones that pertained to the future -- were really heartbreaking in hindsight. This video was made in 2001, he asked her where she saw herself in five years (so 2006), she joked that maybe she'd be a director by then. By 2006, the poor woman was on the verge of a breakdown. She talks a lot about her mom in this interview... and I haven't heard much on her mom in a long, long time.
She was amazing in this interview - stunning, articulated, funny - but it really is sad to watch knowing what we know now.

Oh and let’s not forget she’s a cash cow for the people around her, who control her (her family and management).
To top it off (if it couldn’t get any worse), she has less than 30% custody of her children (down from 50/50). Yeah, I’d say she’s back on top form once again! Not!
When the public thinks those days back in 2007/2008 were her worst, they are only blinded by the “story” put out by her management to get the CShip in place. Labelling someone a mental patient and incompetent is the perfect narrative to get control of their wealth (215 million of it) in court.
All Brit did was fight, and try to break free, only to be captured, putting her under worse and worse restraints each time.
So NO, she is not doing great! Do your research Caleb!
Anonymous I'm actually very aware of her unique situation and I don't condone most of it made by the law/her father that she can't make drastic decisions. Compared to previous years she's more determined to get through each day and I see that so hopefully in the future we'll see some rules lifted

All she needed was a good man who would stay with her through thick and thin rather than a succession of flakes. I'm sure she would have had that if she never became famous, I can see why it would be difficult for her to find someone with the amount of attention she had on her.
I watched it without sound and i cant stop staring at her. Shes mesmerizing. Her face is perfect. beautiful and sexy. Damn! I think shes still young here but she is effortlessly sexy. Comparing her at her age here to popular pop starlets of today like ariana, selena and taylor in terms of sexiness, shes winning by far. These girls can do everything to look sexy but still they look like kids to be honest. No wonder brit became every boys fantasy and every girls ideal beauty.

I personally think, from all the times I have listened to her, that she is a very genuine, sweet and compassionate person. She loves and cares deeply. That is exactly why she is so vulnerable and sensitive. She is a cerebral person and is thought full in her responses to questions. Unfortunately, woman like that very often hurt easily.

But he reformulated the same question about 6 times trying to get the answer he wanted - “Yes I’m deliberately trying to be sexy and I’m purposely being a bad influence on young girls” I’m so glad that it’s no longer the norm to slut-shame female pop artists to their face in interviews. There was some unwritten rule in the past that pop stars had to smile and take it, especially Britney! There’s a hundred interviews she did back in the day with journalists operating in that same weird pervy obsessive manner about her sexuality and her clothes and dancing. IDK how she gracefully sat through days of press junkets having to answer these questions over and over again. It’s no wonder she seemingly HATES interviews and rarely ever does them now.

This interview is really annoying because he keeps making assumptions about what he thinks she believes or at least should. No Britney is not unintelligent, the interviewer is just putting words and assumptions into her mouth and she has to answer all those assumptions in her head before she even responds to him. Britney did well handling this interviewer who was basically having a conversation with himself.
I'd have to ask this interviewer to sit back a little. Just watching gives me anxiety lol
She was leaning forward, too & her body language was very open towards him, great eye contact, flirty, etc....they had great chemistry. And we know she likes/liked the "bad boys".

Kathy May OMG yes! I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels that way. She was perfect as she was. Why’d she get lip injections/plastic surgery? The little upturned corners her lips now have are really at hard for me to look at. I think she’d look better natural even with the wear and tear on her body/face post meltdown. Even and especially with her natural dark brown hair color. She’s perfect and there will never be anyone else quite like her. Only her sister Jamie Lynn comes close.

To be honest I don't think Britney understood a lot of the questions. She was trying to 'be real' unfortunately this showed how unintelligent she is. Sweet girl that was used by her record label. Ultimately had a breakdown and is now under the care of her father as whilst her label -who are paying him to coerce Britney into performing. Sad story
+Marko Polo I don't think it's that she's unintelligent, I think she was holding back a lot. Especially if you watch her post-melt down interviews, she's definitely smart - she probably knew she couldn't answer some of those questions without disclosing information about her label's control.
