Cool video Rosin! Beautiful scenery and amazing sea run salmon. I'll have to tie a few pink bugs to send you. Also like the green rod it proved to be a fish catcher🔥 Tight lines homie, Steve
Found your video while scrolling & awesome fishing, scenery & contex, looking at the flies you use,try a pink squidro or 1/2 Squidro would be frick'n awesome
Thanks for stopping by I'm glad you enjoyed the video, I put a bit more effort into this edit so it's very nice to hear kind words :). I'll look up those patterns, thanks for the tip!!
I've lost a couple good fish to tippet rings. I mean they save leaders, but after losing 2-3 fish to them I ended up ditching them and just went back to surgeon knots. The guys fishing next to you were super chill and awesome. BC fishing looks like a different vibe being back to back fisherman . I go out for the day and sometimes don't see anyone.... is it always that busy there? great video again
So far I've had pretty good luck with the tippet rings I bought from a fly shop, they are super smooth. I believe the issue was my knot to be honest. I should have tested it better that morning!!! Salmon fishing up here gets kind of stupid sometimes and the good spots are widely known and fished. It's a very fun hobby so not much to do about it but there is always the option to put in a 30 min walk and find something secluded but with much fewer fish. Even the guides bring all their clients to these spots and find a way to get them in the water so yeah, it's always like this during the good runs haha
I like the versatility of the tippet ring. Yesterday I learned the hard way what happens when I use my hand for tension instead of getting a fish on the reel...
Headed for the Pink salmon run. Probably a week from Sunday. That can be 50 fish days. Mostly now I stop at 15 in the morning and fish at dusk for a coho on the Vedder

Tight lines homie,
Steve
Thanks Steve, pink definitely does the trick for these guys :) I'm a fan of the new rod for sure. Tight lines to you as well!
bud, love your vids, and this is only the second one for me, you're a gentleman sharing a great pure honest fishing perspective, love it
haha this is very generous :). I'm just a dude with a couple gopros who talks a little too much and sucks at fly fishing 😂
Great to see your brought along your net. Nice fish handling. Keep em wet!!
Net needs to get a bit bigger for salmon haha, thanks for watching!
That’s a really nice first pink salmon!!
Agree it was a good year!

beautiful setting and fish!
Thank you sir!
The long awaited pink video is finally here, great video 👍🏻
Thank you!
Those musty waters were so stunning. That looked like a killer day fishing with the bros 🎉
Yeah this system seems to wake up to fog very often and the sun creeping up makes it pretty stunning . Tuis is one for the memory bank for sure!
What an amazing fishing trip video! I loved every second of it. Cheers!
Thanks Adriaan! 🙂
Was a really great day, excellent job editing this one!
It was a lot of fun, thank you sir!
Looks i gotta get some salmon fishing in! Great video lots of neat footage 👍
It's fun when it goes well lol, thank you sir!
Love the pinks! Perfect salmon for beginners
My first year targeting them and they are super fun!
@@RosinFlyFishing oh right on! They are great

It's a proven fact that green rods mean 10% increased casting performance.
Interesting hypothesis haha
I caught one a couple days ago and I went again a few times after to nothing while eveyone else was hooking up, wonder what I was doing wrong.
Glad you got one! Sometimes it just isn't our day haha
I find not to use Tippett rings for salmon. Also with salmon let the reel do the work

Use your reel bro
Good advice, I have bad habits from trout fishing that don't carry over well to salmon 😂
If you can find a salmon in the PNW that doesn’t have lice, you’ve found something special….
Haha fair enough, it's still cool though 😎
It's a good sign in the river if they are fresh or not because the lice die after a day or two within entering the freshwater.
