Lol, I heard about this cheese when I was playing a game randomly. One of my opponents just had his core explode randomly, then I saw them pulling off this F***ery in the death cam, smashing their core into the wall.
I was equally appalled and amused

Has to be an intentional game mechanic... otherwise the upside down bases would always be at a disadvantage... just a shit map design

bc of the dispersion on the cannons whether or not you actually hit were you want isn't about aim and more just about getting lucky

The dude deadass lined the third t3 in the back up perfectly on the first shot and that was the only one he changed when the first two he missed horribly and put them in the exact same spot

I can imagine a 3v3 where instead the third person keeps pushing some of the cores down all the way down the pit so they can't hit it ever

Killing a base with a lucky shot and then missing 8 shots in a row is always fun
Looks like a nice setup for periscope lasers. Taking note of the material costs for a wood box extension, it is possible to make sure that a wooden box is perfectly square by that cost. Putting a shield diagonally across the perfectly square box would put the angle of that shield at 45 degrees. Shooting into that shield leveled horizontally will mean that the laser reflects straight up. If you repeat the box and shield pattern above it, like a tower, then you can reasonably have some semblance of aim since it again reflects at 45 degrees. Meaning that if you shoot horizontally level at the bottom shield, the laser come right out of the top will again be level.
It would essentially fire like the laser is behind the top shield, with regards to where it is aiming below.
That sounds very fucky to fight. I like it!

i've actually done this, enemy actually thought i had a laser where the shield was.
@@mylittlebrony9397 Basically they were saying that you could set up a laser weapon below ground, and with mirror walls you could technically redirect the laser up, and with another mirror wall redirect it out of your base, and at the enemies bases, while keeping the laser itself rather safe. They mention the "perfectly square" walls because you would need a 45 degree angle to get the laser to safely launch straight upwards, and of course straight out, althought very slight changes to the degrees would still be usable, if not a bit limited in accuracy

Like tier 3 morters but uses a shiled to to direct the beam

This is very annoying, you need mortars to try and destroy the core, but that is still hard!
Honestly, if he just went low enough, it would be impossible even with mortars because of the angle they fire at!

t3 mortar, normally, mortar only upgrade to t2 (heavy mortar), t3 mortar is a cannon set up vertically.

Bouncy mortars might actually be good against the core swing
Hey if you press e when you click on you gun it shoots in the same spot as before
E is not 100% accurate, and as you can see very tiny adjustments make a LOT of difference with a T3 cannon. So using E would make your shot be able to land anywhere roughly, even on your own base in this case.

@@NullFaser T3 is short for tier 3. It originally was the joke that a fire mortar was a tier 1 mortar. an explosive mortar was a tier 2 mortar. and a vertical cannon was the 3th tier mortar, hence T3

omg, just imagine this map with the well defended mod, id love to see a win by opponent dc with a core drop + adamantium scumy play XD
And you wouldn't even need to "get lucky" with living long enough, seeing as you'd only need to do it to one of the 4 cores, preferably the back one.
Just ONLY spend on eco + fortifying it, ignoring literally everything else. Especially if you hide the core before-hand so they don't even realize it's dropped until they shoot through to where it used to be, for extra time farming metal.
ESPECIALLY these days where you could throw a return to sender portal system out on it for even more time and even more stupidity and rage enducing cheese.
You can even feasibly use weapons by moving the core all the way to the bottom, then building adamantium WAY at the bottom just out of splash radius of the core, and then building a portal-fueled weapons system, then ANOTHER layer of adamantium above that - So your weapons are sandwiched between 2 layers of adamantium, but can still fire out of a portal system in the wall and linked at the top of the hole. Even if the enemy snipes your weapons, it still doesn't do anything to the core due to the additional adamantium layer.

alittle thing that annoys me with incursus even though he amazing at the game. he gets a hit and says it's perfectly aimed then changes the aim on it resulting in a miss but keeps the two that missed on either side with the exact same lock on.

Now that moonshot dlc is available, has the tactic for/against the cheese of this map changed? Portals and T3 all the things?
I'd say it's even dumber.
Double/triple core drop, so it's far enough down to have decent room.
Return to sender system at the top of one hole and out the top of another.
Weapons entirely in 1 hole, firing out of portals linked at the top back of the map.
Can honestly go even dumber and put like energy shields right below the portals followed by another layer of portals followed by a layer of armor.
Good luck actually getting through that even WITH stuff like Howitzers, T3s and crazy portal build shenanigans.

I think had you lowered your core more you could have staggered the t3s at different elevations to get more in action

becuz if you refire a weapon it has a significant offset, meaning refiring t3s doesnt work
The BEST Forts video Incursus made, the cheesy part of this video was what made me love this one and is still the best one ever made.

You are so good at forts i swear! Before i was watching blitz and baron von games and i have realised how BAD they are. You are a good UA-camr because you are actually good at the game that you play! thank you for turning up in my recommendations because i was losing braincells watching them play forts.
They could fix this exploit by simply making it so that if the core is turned 180* it explodes (because the coolant can’t circulate or something)
So you talked about/used adamantium in another video. Is it actually indestructible, can it be used on this map, and are you able to get enough storage on this map to use it? If so, could you just drop the reactors down and put a full layer over even just one reactor so that even if the base is completely burnt down above, you would still survive/ have some energy coming in from the windmills down below, so you could just rebuild forever... Until more people caught on and started doing the same thing. Then it just comes out to a draw. But until then...
