I’ve had one of these for a couple of years. We’ve used it car camping, at the beach, birthday parties, around the house. It’s extremely handy. I will say the rivets have started to wear down and I have rigged two of the wings so they will still stand. The center of the top has started to sag in the middle, and the scratches on the frame have started to rust. I have also melted the plastic several times with hot cups and pots. We have put a lot of miles on it though, and I think we will be buying another one in the future. Love the videos! Also I think the pole and hook on the big one is for hanging a lantern.
I have something similar. Very few people realise that the most precious commodity when camping is a flat space to put things down, cook or prep food and this goes a long way to providing cooking and prepping space.
You picked the perfect area to test the cook station. 👍 When we drive long distances for a backpacking trip I'll usually stay at something like a KOA campground rather than a motel. That's the one time you can go all out without worrying about weight.
I picked one of these up based on this video. The thing I like about it the most is that it doesn’t have any loose pieces. It seems pretty sturdy. I’ll be using it with a Coleman 424 or 425. I’ll supplement the gci unit with a folding lifetime table for additional prep area. FYI that telescoping rod on the deluxe model is a lantern hanger.
Such a cook station makes a lot of sense for car camping. It makes it more practical cooking and preparing food. Combined with a tent that you can stand up in under an awning and you can cope with rain.
Just unpacked it and really impressed. Seems like it’s going to fit the bill to use for our rv when cooking outside on the grill and has a place for all the support gear to go.
Just recently went home to visit the family(in Delaware) to do some surf fishing(Bethany Beach). This would of been very useful on the trip. We used the tailgate of my brother's truck and had sand in everything. Love the channel! I also grew up in the greater Philadelphia area but live in Las Vegas now.
I have two of GCI's chairs. They are low perth and perfect for summer concerts on the lawn. They are soooo comfortable. Bonus is they are the right height to use your cooler as a footstool. Posture not required!
Thanks for this! I just got this table for camping and surf fishing too! We also live in Sussex County. Thanks for showing the feet in the sand, I was thinking I may have to carry blocks with me in the sand. Also, a 17in a s 22in Blackstone fit on top!
Looking to replace an older table and once again you are on point... Safe travels up north and once again if ever anything comes up I am in MA north of Boston and just a message away... Great vid..
I also live in De and unfortunately one must be actually engaged in fishing to be able to wheel/hang on the beach. This video is very thorough. I’ve been looking for a table like this. Sold!
Very cool! Sintax it would be awesome to see a video of you running some OHV trails in your Jeep and doing some car camping! Sounds like a good video for you a trailkilla
I bought this table about a year ago. I use it while grilling and barbecuing. Have also taken it to places like the fire station and gun range to use. Very versatile and sturdy. Leave it to you to figure out wine glasses fit in it.🤣🤣. Cheers.
I have a medium sized charcoal grill I keep on my porch. Might get one for car camping and a companion for the grill. Cool rig. I like the room for the cooler underneath. Gives the rig a low center of gravity.
speaking of Jeep Wrangler, what happened to the V-Dubb? I remember the first video you did with the Jeep, but don't remember if you ever mentioned the fate of the VW.
Who's kid is that? Btw, I was watching some of your older videos today to look at your hammock progression. I just got my first cheapo hammock to try out that life. Anyway, I have to say I can definitely see that you have lost some weight. And I'm not talking about pack weight either. Good job sir!
Looks good. How do you like that ozark trail canopy? I see them blow over in windy conditions kinda often. Do you do anything special to anchor it at the beach?
THEY HAVE PLASTIC SAND, SOFT DIRT STAKES AT WALMART.. BUT I GOT GOOD ONES AT HARDWARE STORE METAL ONES FOR WHEN I WAS TENT CAMPING AT ASSATEAGUE ISLAND GLAD I DID. LATER IN THE WEEK WE HAD A THUNDERSTORM COME THROUGH & TENTS , CANOPIES, CHAIRS ENDED UP OUT ON THE BEACH, UP IN TREES, ETC.
I've had the GCI Slim Fold Cook Station for about 4 years now. My wife and I use it all time when car camping and RVing. It tends to keep the picnic table less cluttered. I believe I did a quick once-over in one of my own videos about 3-4 years ago. Nice job on the review. I think you pretty much covered everything.
Hey dude, nice video! Fellow Delaware Jeep JKU guy here in Bethany Beach. I gave you a like and subscribe! Hope to see you on the beach some time. I’m a red JKU with black wheels.
The cover for our wheel well in our Honda CRV is a folding table. Interestingly, the spare hangs on the bsck door.

I have this exact kit, we love it when we family tent camp. I use an old gas grill cover to protect everything from the element.

Wondering if my 22in Blackstone wound fit this?

One nice prep cook station. Perfect for car camping
Purchased! This will be perfect for my weekend Tacoma camping trips!
The tall hook on the larger set could be for a lantern

Thanks for your review!
I fastened mine down in my van for the kitchen setup. Works great
Great idea!
Good video... I’m giving it a thumbs up because at 2:35 the dog goes to town digging and kicking up sand on the young lady sun bathing!!!

Ha, watching this in Wildwood, where I'd love to be able to drive the family across the desert, I mean beach, to the water. Table looks solid!
More video of Denali throwing sand on Sara please!!!
Good review. Nice to see how you use it and you gave a lot of suggestions on how to use it. Thanks.
nice review. i have this in my amazon list for family camping. glad to know you like it and will continue to use it.
Looks like a nice piece of gear...perfect for the beach trip or car campground...
The hook on the larger model is to hang a lantern

Jeff McElroy yes, please tell us Sintax :D
Yeah, good question. What happened to the VW?
Great review, thanks
Nice review on the table. Just in time. Shopping for one now. Saw the greenhead on your calf at the 5:00 min mark. They really suck. Lol
Oh, man - they got me good a few times that day too :o
So prepping your fish bait, wife, spouse, significant other, comes by, thinks it sushi?
Stealing a sample? 😅
I have an 03 Rubicon. Just what I've been looking for. Thanks for the review. Any thoughts on some camping/overlanding videos?
Who's kid is that?

Sara and Denali were playing fetch on a back packing trip and he came back with the kid, so they just kept the kid and said screw the stick? O.o

Thanks Dave! I've seen them blow over at street fairs, so I guess those people just plopped them down without anchoring them at all.
Same table here. Great piece of equipment. When did you get the Jeep? Right over the border in Philadelphia burbs

I’ve had that for a while and it’s solid. Great piece of gear.
Thanks
How is it holding up after a year of salt and sand use? Thx

Who’s the little dude-man at the beach?
The import question.....how big of cooler will it hold? Lol hahaha
2:34 the dog and the girl
Under 10 minutes on a camp table..good job.. thought you would run out to 1 hour..
Thanks for the video. I have to ask who's the kid? I didn't know you guys had kids.
National Cheeseburger Day Tomorrow, September 18th!!!!!
A glorious day, indeed!
👍🏻😬
😜
I'm sure this was just a slip-up by the post-production editing team.....but we all know that paper towels are rolled under. Never, ever over.
Haha, I'll pass that along to the crew
