  • Learn how to draw with one point perspective. Use linear perspective to create the illusion of space in your drawings. A horizon line is defined and then one point is placed on the horizon line. Lines are drawn back to the vanishing point to create 3D forms.

One of the best videos I've seen on this subject on UA-cam. Concise and easy to follow, but the big plus is the speaker and how he articulated everything without cracking jokes or making the umms and ahs sounds between words.

Hi. Thank you for your amazing video of perspective. I just started to paint and always had a perspective problem but after watching your video I think I have a good understanding of that. But I still am confused about the scale of a shape in the painting. For example, how am I supposed to know the size of the ship is right in a seascape painting? Please educate me. Thanks

The lyrics isn't showing up on my screen for some reason, so I'll just put it down here :)
    Dancing in my underpants
    I'm gonna run for government
I'm gonna form a covers band and all
And back there by the baby grand
    Did Mr. Winter Wonderland say
"Come here, kid, we really need to talk"?
Bear with me, man, I lost my train of thought
I fantasize, I call it quits
    I swim with the economists
And I get to the bottom of it for good
    By the time reality hits
The chimes of freedom fell to bits
The shining city on the fritz
They come out of the cracks
    Thirsty for blood
Just as the apocalypse finally gets prioritized
And you cried some of the hottest tears you ever cried
    Multiplied by five
I suppose the singer must die
    Singsong 'round the money tree
    This stunning documentary
That no one else unfortunately saw
    Such beautiful photography
It's worth it for the opening scene
I've been driving 'round listening to the score
Or maybe, I just imagined it all
I've played to quiet rooms like this before
Bear with me, man, I lost my train of thought

Coz we were doin' discussing and then the teacher gave us this assignment. to draw a one point perspective drawing, I had NO freakin' clue on what to do but my friend recommended me to watch this tutorial and it worked!!!! sad thing is I got a B+ but it was more than enough to make my mum proud.

Thank you. I'll think more on enrolling in your classes, but for me to have produced what I did here, with your guidance is a miracle. I've always had a very deep desire/need to draw, sketch, paint, but I don't have that right side of the brain "thingy" going on. Trying to develop it. Thank you for your precise but simple guidance. I will be doing this over and over and over again.
