I am using Mevo Multicam which can recieve camera inputs over NDI. It also has the capability of sending NDI output over the local network. Newtek has a suite of tools for NDI that works on IOS and iPadOS. Another great program is TopDirector which can use NDI cameras and stream NDI over a network.
For anyone having trouble getting their PTZ camera connected to Multicam, mine wouldn't work until I made sure I was not sending "Full NDI" and also changed the output codec to H.265. With H.264 on iOS, I just got a black or green screen. I also thought that I needed to turn on NDI by selecting the "Full NDI" check box, when in fact, that switches you over to an incompatible high bandwidth flavor of NDI. The camera I'm using is the same as all the PTZOptics/AVKANS/SMATV PTZs.
Some people are getting this error: Mevo Multicam "Speed HQ NDI inputs not supported...." when trying to connect NDI HX cameras to Multicam. These sources work fine with NewTek software and OBS plug-ins but won't connect to Multicam. Have you seen this and/or have any solutions?
Yes, Mevo accepts only NDI HX which is the compressed format of NDI. Newtek does not recommended full NDI on wifi. My getaround for this is to use TopDirector running on an iPAd which can input full NDI but output NDI HX.

Mevo Multicam requires a subscription to Mevo Pro to use these features.

With my Mevo Start as an input the Mulitcam app can accept either H.264 or H.265 data from the camera over NDI HX.
@@GordonGidluck Are you using and Android or iOS? It worked either way with Android for me, but had to be H.265 on iOS.
@@datmeme8967 I am using IOS only.
@@GordonGidluck Interesting. Maybe it has something to do with the software on the PTZ camera.
What tools is needed in iPad to work ndi
