I did my grill last year, did bumper off though the grill does make a huge difference especially due to the fog light surrounds being honey Combe.... Totally agree how it makes the front look more aggressive and menacing...... Keep the videos coming 👍🏻

DESCENT,,, I have an issue with my TT it's in limp mode would a faulty DV valve cause this but diagnose machine saying that oil pick-up pipe blocked which one would you attempt FIRST

Hi. I see this is a few months ago so probably a bit late. I'm currently self repairing the front of my 8J 07 TT due to deer strike! I have been lucky (not the deer so much) in that the main damage is to front and side grille and bonnet. I've sourced the parts off ebay. I sourced fog grilles of ebay that came super black gloss already. The seller has been amazing asking me to supply pics of the front of the car and VIN after I bought them but before they shipped them just to confirm compatibility. I can supply seller name if interested.

@@micw3992 I did post a (quite lengthy) reply to this but it seems to have gone? The seller was shengxuan2019 on ebay, currently listed at £55.88 also with a 10% off coupon offer. I see 5 pairs left today on the listing. Please note that the grilles have a chrome trim around the actual fog lamps which doesn't bother me but might be an issue if you're going for the total black look. The grilles fit perfectly. Despite being HK based the parts arrived in a few days and as I've said elesewhere the seller was super in verifying compatibility before shipping after I had purchased. I did mess up a bit with the front grille in that the one I sourced was shiny but not gloss black (and the other one I was watching on ebay looks like it is for around same price, I just clicked the wrong one in my haste, the gloss black seller even messaged me with a -£5 reduced offer but I'd already bought the other one). I've mentioned on here before that getting the base of the old busted grille off was a tough one. In addition to the 4 bolts at the top and the 2 midway down the sides my 8J TT had 4 T20 bolts and 7! large clips at the base impossible to access unless either the rest of the old grille was busted off like mine or you take the bumper or undertray out.
Where do you guys get your parts? I have a tts 2009 and need a grills and fog light grills ?

Need to remove the front bumper to do the grill I'm sure as it has a few screws at the bottom holding the grill to the bumper. Got my one in the post so I'll be sure to remove the old grill with a sledge hammer 🤣 good work mate looks nice👍
cheers bro definitely easier if you remove the bumper but not needed as the video proved on my mk3 I removed the bumper 100x easier
@@carfellauk quick one. On the passenger side tail light next to the indicator is a small section with a Amber bulb in it. Mines is illuminated as I unlock the car stays on till I lock the car. Indicator works fine just that light is on which is trange

Thanks for posting this great video. I have a question as I'm replacing front grille right now due to deer collision damage. I've noticed there are four fixings at the base of the grille, looks like bolts (self tapping, looking at the replacement grille mounting points). Taking them off is easy as the old grille is smashed out but I can't see how to access them when fitting the new grille. Any pointers gratefully received.
Glad you liked the video it was a while ago I did it but if I remember rightly the new grill has different fitting manly clips and screws at the top

Hy Bro. I bought myself the same Aftermarket Grille, mine does not fit because I did not take the middle part and foam off. Is it really necessary for it to to be cut off? Is there no other way of doing it? As mine now sticks with cableties😭
Na bro no other way as u see from the video it’s only a bit of plastic and foam and I think it has helped with air flow but I researched doin this for ages there is no other way of you want the full honeycomb grill there is one with honeycomb top and bottom with the plate holder in between so you don’t have to cut but in my Opinion it doesn’t look as good
Car Fella UK Will it have a major impact regarding your car’s airflow and gas mileage if you drive long distances? as I am considering grinding mine off as well and making it look neat and nice
I think air flow wise it has made a difference not sure about MPG as mine is running over 300 bhp now so not sure I would say take the leap I don’t regret it one bit

Hi. Is this grill only for a TTS style. Can it be fitted to normal TT MK2 or are they different attachments. As I can only see ones with the Line through the reg plate

I did I think u could get away with keeping the form if u wanted but ur better of removing it and painting the metal bar like I did cheers for the support I am glad you like the video stay tuned for plenty more to come

Dude the bumper has to drop to change to honeycomb, 4 bolts inner wing have to be released. Other than that great vids bru xx

Yeah bro I got mine from eBay word of warning don’t go for the cheapest one shop around a bit try go for a seller on the uk or Europe mine wasn’t crazy expensive but has lasted and still looks amazing today hope this helps

I just thought. The one I've pointed to here does have the number plate mounting built-in not the totally number plate-less result you may be looking for.
TOP TIP: look at the replacement part before starting the job. Locations for clips and bolts etc can be checked first.
Usually a top tip but this wasn’t like for like so part differed in a few ways

Cheers bro it takes some time and patience but it can be done I got the rings from eBay and the size I needed was 273x94 I hope this helps if you need anything else hit me up

Where do you fit your number plate?
It comes with a number plate holder that attaches to the front but I use plate locks there a small company on Instagram that makes little attachments for your plate so you can easily slip it on and off
