Reminded of my time working in the UAE. The prices seem to have gone up considerably over there over the last 3-4 years.
BTW doha is qatar's capital city, the currency in UAE is called dirhams :)

Tip - always pay in local currency as your bank with do the conversion at a much cheaper rate than the card machine will do. Don't get stung on the rest of your trip lad. Great content !!

Whenever I see people talking to themselves in public (who aren't obviously on drugs or something), I assume they're probably on a call, using bluetooth headphones, skype/zoom, recording something or making a video, sending a voice message, streaming something, or any of the other everyday things someone might be doing. Especially at an airport. Dunno why so many people look at you like you've got three heads hey lol. The girl watching him eat seafood pasta was cracking me up

Really looking forward to the Portugal videos. I spent like a month in Lisbon at the end of 2016. It's amazing for food, culture, street art, etc. The street graffiti is like I've never seen anywhere else in the world. And most things are well priced. Booze, eating out, etc. It hasn't been hit by that Western Europe tax/price hike. I would love to go back. It's the little hidden gem of Western Europe. They still hand-make the footpaths with cobblestones too. I'm so freaking keen to see these upcoming vids. I don't think I've EVER been hyped for an upcoming video on YT.

I recommend Emirates Business Class lounge on the way back to OZ if you have a long layover. You won't regret it.
If you decide to do it, use Terminal B lounge, because flights to OZ either depart from Terminal B or Terminal C. Don't go to Concourse A lounge as its way too far to travel to the gate when you gotta depart.

You are usually better off not selecting AUD on those payment machines that offer conversion you should usually press the local currency because they charge way more to do the conversion than your bank does

Wow ! $45 AUD for a burger, chips and about 3/4 of a can of Coke (standard can here in Aus 🇦🇺 is 375ml). I guess you are eating airport food which generally Is expensive wherever you go, including here. It's a shame that you didn't have a few days to look around Dubai to check out their local food seen. The airport pretty much caters for international tastes for obvious reasons. Keep up the great work man👍, really looking forward to the rest of this series as you travel 🌍
