What type of paper is this, and does it matter what type of paper you use?

Hey Dude, Different papers can effect your drawings a bit. Some allow the ink to spread more, while others can even repel the ink (glossy paper for example). The paper I used for this drawing was Strathmore Bristol, which is the type I've used for commissions and comic book art for a while now. Though ive heard that Hammermill 80lb cardstock works well.
