Hi Sig. Since you ask I do a two and a half pass have every day. I have a sandpaper like dense growth. So face preparation is essential. Pre shave soap to push against the grain( it runs downwards, directly parallel to my face) and a softener. Then I'm good to go and alter up. No problems and a BBS or close daily. Love these videos. Prep is key with a growth like yours.
My growth on the neck is all over the place. 'Festival Growth' I call because it's hands in the air to a concert at a festival.
My skin cannot take every day shaving. The dry air here would give me lizard skin on my neck if I shaved every day...
Yes I every day shave me. With two and half pass or 3 and half. Just like I have time and fun. I do that four days a week. Then I skip Friday and Saturday. And then there's a special shave on Sunday.
I wish I could do that!!
But my skin won't allow it. The dry air here is killer!!
Another close and blood-free shave, Sig. I'm an everyday shaver. 3 passes plus pickups. Fortunately, the Rockwell 6S is very forgiving. If I overdo it, the next day I use my Henson mild razor. Also, using alum, witch hazel, and balm after every shave helps to calm my skin.

I'd love to shave every day, but I just can't. The extremely dry air here with zero humidity would turn the skin on my neck into lizard-skin in a matter of days. When it's hard winter here I even have to 'just' shave every third day...
I love the 6S razor, too. I find that I have to be careful with the alum.stick as it adds to the dryness of my skin...

@@SIGSOLO Until I got back into traditional wet shaving, I shaved every 2-3 days. All the great soaps and balms help to moisturize my skin. Of course, we don't have the dry air in Georgia. In fact, it has been damp and rainy for the past 3 or 4 days. But that hasn't stopped the World Series. Go Braves!!!

And I never enjoyed it! Today, it's my Zen-moment in 'The Zone'.
My family says I'm more relaxed and calm afterwards...

I shave every day because I can't stand to let it go like I sometimes did when I was younger. I'm fairly sensitive so it's a two pass with touchups if needed. I wish I could shave twice a day just to use up all the products I've purchased, lol.

Now I have at home two King C. Gillette Razor, two Gillette Slim Twist 1984, Mühle R41 Razorhead with not original handle. And from Snmirn the one who looks like the Merkur Future at least the Black Plastic Razor from Wilkinson. And a lot of different blades.

Great shave Sig! I’ve been trying to get my hands on the (-) plate but it’s been sold out for a while. Hopefully soon. I shave 6 days a week, usually with one with the grain pass and one across the grain pass. Have a great weekend!

I wish I could do that!! When it's Winter season here I sometimes have to only shave every third day...
The design of the head looks stellar. The difference in weight is only 3 grams... I think the amonut of extra time spend cutting and polishing is far mor expensive than the 3 grams difference in postage and I doubt that he melt down and reuses the cuttings...

Nice shave as always Sig, Man that's a monster knot in the brush. Looks like that razor still mowed down the stubble even if it is a mild razor. On the odd occasion I do need to shave daily in which case just two passes normally suffice though if it's too regularly my skin suffers a bit. I do however prefer to leave at least a day between shaves.enjoy your weekend

Yes, a Monster knot; but great for thirsty soaps I find, because of the amount of water in holds. Took me a good while to enjoy it fully; it's huge!!

Interesting video Sig Solo, the Carbon razor is a interesting shaving tool. People enjoy using the carbon razor . I shave every day because of my past job required that because I worked in Maintenance and had to use SCBA every once in a while in oil & gas industry. As for Nivea cool I prefer the sensitive Nivea Balm scent. I recently switched to CeraVe moisturizer balm + scentless because it had the Hyaluronic Acid with 3 essential Ceramides and is one of the best balms for your skin IMO. If you have Hyaluronic acid I would suggest put a few drops into my Nivea sensitive balm dollop and works really well and that is when I decided to switch to CeraVe because it has it already mixed in. I used Nivea balms for 3.5 years and I still switched because the CeraVe moisturizer works a little better for myself. Have some great shaves and take care.

#1. I'm gonna answer your questions, maybe... :P
Q. Do I shave every day? A: No. Every 2 to 3 Days. I do not have thick, coarse or prolific beard growth and if I achieve an exceptionally close shave; easily 2/3rds of the shaved area will still be bordering on BBS to DFS 36 hours later. Certainly, many times at the 24 hour mark there is so little growth that there is nothing to shave.
Q. Do I have a job that dictates shave behavior. A: No. I can do as I please. In fact if that was the case I would either be unemployed or employed elsewhere.
Q. Do I do a 2 pass shave(or how many do I do)? A. Strictly mathematically speaking 5 passes! YES. F.I.V.E. but that is based on what one considers a "Pass".
a. With the Grain North to South 1
b. Against the Grain South to North 2
c. Across the Grain East to West 3 (Ear to Mouth)
d. Across the Grain West to East 4 (Mouth to Ear)
e. Squeegee(what you and everyone else calls a "Pick Up") Pass. I call it "squeegee" because I cover the entire face with lather then spray with water until it is slightly runny. Then holding the razor so lightly as to almost drop it; allow it to skim the lather exactly in the same manner a squeegee cleans glass. I literally go in every direction so technically this would count as 6 passes in total. I have found this catches almost every errant whisker and is not irritating to the skin if the lather is runny. Sometimes I omit this step because the prior 4 steps tend to be quite thorough or I will know that I am overdoing it when the tips of the shaving brush sting or tingle slightly. It is a 100% Certain Notice that it is time to STOP.

- I have a shave demanding job in the Army for 11 years. Upon deployment into service we couldn't shave every day. So we shaved maybe every third or fourth day. After that it was more a case of looking representable; clothes, hair a.s.o.
- WOW!! A 6 pass shave!! That would kill my skin with my current technique and experience.
- I'd say you are über dedicated!! I hereby give you the title: Grand Master of Dedication(GMD).
