Literally just purchase a SkyTrak+ today. This video was super helpful in understanding what the program offers. Super excited to start playing now! Thanks for posting this!
Gabe, just like others. We are all worried about you. I pray that you make it through this event with your health and little to no damage. Keep us all posted
I’ve been in the “planning” stage for building my golf simulator for over a year now, in large part because a) I just really didn’t want to have to buy a windows PC to connect to and b) even through I already have a FlightScope Mevo+, I wanted an optical launch monitor to reduce the footprint (even though I have the room). I have nothing but Macs in my home, several in fact, and with SkyTrack doing this, they may have forced my hand into finally making a purchase 😂
This is awesome! I’m in! I loved my original SkyTrak and I too have been a long time Mac user. This is now a no brainer…I think you got reversed on the left to right and right to left command range…you wouldn’t want to start the ball over the water for the right to left command module, would you? Seems it should be to work on working the ball left to right as the title implies, no?
I only have the basic plan and have the various ranges, according to Skytrak you only get the one range with the basic plan. Maybe a free trial period?
A little off subject. But I've been seeing a lot of good things about the Square Golf launch monitor. Is there any chance of a review? At $699, it would be a great budget monitor. And you're a trustworthy reviewer.
Agreed timd1373. Gabe any chance you can review square golf simulator? Much cheaper, very accurate and responsive. I was a ST enthusiast until I kept reading about many connection issues and very poor customer service.
Question: I’m playing the Callaway Rogue Max ST. You’ve played it and switched to Ping 430 10k max, correct? Was the change worth it? Also do you play blade irons? What about long irons (3-5.)
I have no problem to spend 2495usd for launch monitor, but monthly subscription for course play software? its too much. BTW Skytrak is not the only one running macos :)
Probs with skytrack is it must be positioned beside the golfer. That means ya gotta move it to the other side when a lefty is playing. I'm a lefty so I'd be moving it countless times playing with virtually everyone else. If I'm wrong about this tell me but that's why I'd never buy any skytrack no matter how cool it is. Just not practical for everyday use with friends.
SkyTrak is not on my shortlist, because I'm a lefty and everyone else is righty - but since I can't afford an overhead LM and a new gaming PC (and already have a mac) this just became a real possibility. Wish others would follow.
Gabe… first keep your head down with Milton on the way, stay safe🤞 Once you get a read can that grid be turned off, that would be totally annoying- Previously reviewers noticed ST+ putting was not good, putts had to be pounded, has it been updated? FWIW… With the cross platform coding options available today there is no reason every simulation software can’t support both PC and Mac. Unity, the platform GSPro is written with is designed to support both. Yet, they continue to ignore the Mac. The iPad Pro with that M4 chip doesn’t quite catch the current Nvidia capabilities, but it surpasses many of the Nvidia chips currently used in golf simulator play today. I mostly blame Apple because they’re terrible at selling this story and supporting the developers. Hopefully, this move by GolfTec, SkyTrak’s parent company, will help to open the floodgates by showing what is possible.

Hey Gabe, thinking of you as Milton heads to your neck of the woods. Stay safe! Hope to see more of your content soon.

Well well well. This just made my decision 100% easier! Thanks for the update.

What are the specs of your Mac? I’m curious to see if mine will run as smoothly as yours!
Hey Gabe, hope you keeping safe with Milton heading your way.
This is what I’ve been waiting for
Gabe, what is with the merry - go- round music. lol. That 160 ' putt , I would have used a hybrid.
Will this work with an iPad? Great stuff Gabe!
M1 iPads and hogher

Can you tell me the specifics on your Mac. Graphics card ram etc.
Optishot worked on Mac, not quite as in-depth but did work on Mac

Nice! Did I miss something, couldn’t we use sky track on Mac before? I’m waiting for when gs pro will ever come to Mac 😢
I think the new version 5 is the first Skytrack update with actual COURSE PLAY on MacOS. Before there were no course play options
Here I come to recommend👍

v.5 was a game Changer. being part of SkyTrak no 3rd Party Apps required..

That is a deal maker

Sim literally says the pin is 120 yards and you pulled out a 6-iron? Not sure the logic there lol

Also hope all is well with Hurricane headed your Way..
Gabe, I hope you are headed out of the Tampa area. God bless

Finally!!!!! They did have an app for Mac to use the range but it had quirks
Putting didn’t look that good, not sure if this guy is sponsored by SKYTRAK but I can’t tell if it’s the software or the launch monitor. Anyone know?
Hate the delay on skytrak. Also dislike apple products
I’ve seen delays on Trackman
its not 220 per year in fact its 220+130= 350, 220 would be meeh but 350, just get Gspro
I would never buy another Skytrak. Nothing but problems.
