As an anxious attachment who used to think that my relationship all depended on me and how “good” I am, I had always thought that fearing God’s judgement and me being perfect with my character would determine my relationship with him. I have become secure now, but it is after more than a year of intensive work. My best friend is the avoidant type who feels an inherent sense of shame and isn’t vulnerable with God.
