Ooohhh, this gives me hope!!! I realized a few yrs ago that road trips and sleeping in the back seat of my truck in the wilderness is the most vitalizing feeling in the whole world. It gives me hope that you are older like me. I just regret that I didn’t do this earlier in my life once my kids were grown. I’m sure you’ve had many wonderful experiences. Thanks for sharing!!
I am 58 years old, working a full-time desk job as an engineer. Once my kids were grown and flew the nest, I realized how much I love being alone, and started spending more and more time in the mountain wilderness surrounding our home. My husband fears for my safety, but I solo backpack for days at a time with my little dog. These trips are like hitting the "reset" button. Looking forward to my retirement when solo days can turn into solo weeks.

@erichamradio919 that's the point, to do it while you are able and take advantage of the opportunities so many, never take. She can sit in one place when she's 80 with no regrets about the experinces she let slip by, but she is far from that right now. Our promise of a successful future isn't the same as yours these days. Everything is temporary, even your success and security. No sense in staying stuck and unable to adapt and cope with the inevitable changes that will come for us all. Soon, what she is doing won't even be possible anymore. Let her enjoy it. Enjoy it with her.
Just so you know, if you go to Greece in winter you will actually have it pretty much to yourself. I spent ten days on Mykonos island in February once and the main town was a ghost town. The islands empty out between mid-October and mid-May. Weather will be warmish during the day, cool at night, possible rain but likely sunny. Good time to go, no crowds, cheaper, quiet, a few restaurants and hotels open, very peaceful. And you can swim if you're brave.

Ms Eva you can feel overwhelmed alone on a boat in the ocean and completely alone in a crowded room. It's about what's in your heart and mind. Enjoy your solitude and keep doing what you've been doing just be safe and keep sharing your adventures as long as you're good in your own skin I'm sure it'll be another great year 🤠
I love being alone too with just my thoughts and my animals, no people. I recharge and don’t feel stressed or anxious. So glad you didn’t get rid of Odyssey. We missed her! Safe travels Eva and Vilk!
There is a quote that the mountain top experiences in our lives are amazing but our character is defined in the valleys. So glad you are coming back to the USA!
Eva⚘so happy you, Vilk & Odyssey are back on the road again. I enjoy your adventures so much. Proud to say I haven't missed an episode in years Charming grandparents. ☮ be with you.
Welcome back north. I have lived above the arctic circle for 48 of my 49 years at this planet. Only regret is the 1 year i didnt. Greetings from Tromsø, Norway.
Such a good point about what version of oneself comes out in what circumstance and what place. Some people have it in them to explore, some do not. Have to follow your own personality, otherwise you resent your life and folks around you, I've have seen it first hand.
The lead-up to re-introducing Odyssey was priceless! I know that those, like me, who been on the journey for some time were all smiling, knowing EXACTLY what was coming! I think that, sometimes, the tools we use in certain moments become part of an intentional life. Your greatest moments in solitude have been travelling in Odyssey. For this journey, the choice is only fitting.
I was hoping that we'd see Odyssey again. I would give so much to be able to pack up and go like that. I did a lot of solo camping/travel in my younger years any time the world got a bit much or I just needed time. Now I'm a recent widower in my 50's with a special needs child so it's not an option any longer. But I'd oh so love to be able to take off even for just a few days. In a different life I'd have spent a lot of this last year on the road and in the wilderness processing my 'new' life but our son needs me more than ever now.
Been watching for some time now, glad to see you are back in Odyssey. When you and Vilk are traveling, to me those are your best videos. Travel safe and also stay warm....
It's really nice to see Odyssey back. I'd grown attached to it from your previous trips and it kinda broke my heart a bit when you set it aside and bought Toyka. It feels really nice to see Odyssey again.
Recently binged a bunch of: 'I shouldn't be alive' stories, with many revolving around the ocean and sailing. A common theme was isolation. I've always found the ocean to be a source of rejuvenation. There's a purity there. And the smell, oh man, now I'm missing it, haha. I sailed across the Pacific and there's a magical feeling out there when you're alone looking around with absolutely nothing in all directions. And then there's the night sky... TREMENDOUS. If you're digging the vibe of this vid consider island hopping. There are so many remote uninhabited islands out there, where you can wash ashore, and feel like Columbus back in the 'ole days. And if you want to add a little fate, terror, and overcoming your mind schtick... open-water swimming across the ocean from island to island dials up the ALONENESS factor x10. I'll never forget some of those swims... nothingness below you, above, and in all directions. It's an active meditation out there. So much chatter in the mind: sharks? Am I on course? How's my energy? Do I have enough juice for the return trip? What's the current doing? Almost didn't even seem real. Never forget the final revelations of a man named Christopher McCandless (Into the Wild/movie), a real-life fella who solo trekked to Alaska, and eventually died in a school bus in the Alaskan wilderness: 'Happiness only real when shared.' Don't forget to come back.
So happy we are going to receive this type of content from you! I feel everything you’ve said! Watching your videos feels like home like finally someone understands the need of being alone and not following the norm! Hopefully i will be like you one day❤ Stay safe out there and embrace yourself 😊 I watch lots of your old videos, you are inspiration ! Greetings from the Balkans ❤️
So glad to see you & Odyssey back together again! You will never be alone with a Vilk by your side (did he do something to his paws? - looks like bandages on his hind paws). Happy trails Eva & may the road rise with you!❤
Aaww, Ms. Eva, I love your new rig, and to be honest I am rather jealous of that beautiful thing, but dang it's good to see Odyssey! Such a badass truck. 💙🚙💙 Vilk seems really comfy to be back on the road in it, too. I'll be looking forward to your musings from the middle of nowhere; that's my favorite Eva mode. I cheer you on in your growing success, of course. But this stuff is why I come back to your channel. My loner heart loves your solo trips! I've heard it suggested that if you need the company of others to recharge, you are extroverted. If you require solitude to recharge, then you are introverted. I'm solidly in the second camp. The company of others can be a true joy and I'm very social at times, but it costs me in energy and emotional and mental bandwidth. I'm sure many of your followers relate! Enjoy your peace. Wishing you and Vilk all the best on this voyage. Much love from California. 🥰
Eva, this is my favorite form of you. The authentic, reflective, dream-chasing Eva who is truly LIVING life, exploring all the world has to offer with Vilk and Odyssey. I follow along vicariously on these journeys. I can't wait to see you back in the US soon. The wild western frontier suits your soul more than any other place I've seen!
It's definitely special up here. As an ultra runner living in the north of Sweden, running in moonlight without a headlamp in a snowy forest is quite magical!

Being alone for weeks is trippy incredible and a bit insanity inducing. The best/worst part is knowing how sane the insanity actually is and how insane all the sane people are.
So many of your comments hit me right in the feels. Solitude and loneliness. That is my current existence. The only difference being my mindset. Running; I have run 'from', I have run 'to', and, sometimes, I have just run for the 'run'. Fare thee well, young lady. We will be happy to see you at the other end.
Dear Eva, I have watched almost all your amazing videos over the years. I have enjoyed all of them. You are an inspiration. Enjoy your journey. Regards from Cape Town ❤
So happy for you (and Vilk) and your understanding of how to work your way through life. Your travels and adventures are such a pleasure to follow! Looking forward to your future adventures, a person has to do what they feel is the best for themselves, and you’re not alone by any stretch of the imagination. You have a very sweet and loving grandmother. She reminds me of my own, who passed away 38 years ago at 96. She always had something for me when I was leaving.
The most free that I ever felt was staying in a cabin in the forest/mountains. It's such a great feeling. I definitely understand wanting to get away by yourself. You rock, Eva.
I'm not surprised Nat Geo had noticed you and offered you a show. You really are an amazing filmmaker and storyteller. There is often a bad vibe about UA-camrs. But you use your skils to promote alternative, minimalistic, nomadic life, the life many would like to live, but very few dare to. I really appreciate that!
I understand your thought process is completely. Wonderlust is in your blood. Quit my job, sold my house, sold my car and started traveling for 15 years nonstop around the world. I wasn’t running from anything I was experiencing life is most wonderful state- freedom.
When you said your the kindest version of yourself on the road, ive never been able to put that into such simple words! I relate to this so much. Ive always solo travelled and sought out peacful places to explore, it lights me up inside. I love connecting with others but also love my solitide!
Yeah, genuinely asking if any doctor can explain this phenomenon? Why or how One would rather post and interact with millions of strangers behind the screen than have genuine connections irl.
You’re all thinking inside a tiny little box. I can’t even wrap my head around such small thinking comments.🤯 Eva, you rock! And, I totally get the whole “social recluse” thing. You are perfect just the way you are. Don’t listen to people with chains on their brains.✌️
You are such an enigma, you share so much about your life and adventures and yet I have no idea what’s really going on in your head. safe travels, and thanks for sharing your journey
@athuddriver maybe it's my fault, I only recently discovered this channel, I watched almost everything in short time, sometimes they were some of the best adventure series I've ever seen, but lately I've been tired of this constant "Me and Me" "someone is hunting me..." I want to be alone" etc. She has millions of viewer's, so I don't understand why she's surprised that she has fans?!
@@johanandersson9208 of course, what I mean is more that 95 out of 100 people would switch places with her, because she has an amazing life, so you come back from your often boring job and want to see Eva's next adventure and you get bitter regrets instead.
I feel ya on wanting to being alone. Sometimes we just need to reset ourselves to disconnect, find ourselves and reconnect. Plus, you have the greatest company along with you! Be safe and enjoy yourself out there!
Living nomadically is my reality also! I find it quite additive in many ways, yet it offers such an avenue for expansion. You are correct, it is not a matter of running from, but instead running towards what gives one joy.
Great video as usual but I'll admit the important part, for me, was what you said in the beginning. When you left the US last time I commented that I hoped that one day you'd return when the time was right. I'm super excited to hear that returning is in your plans. As a resident of the western US with some land I welcome you in advance to big skies, tall mountains, and rushing rivers. I can't wait to see how you motivate people with your own slice of the USA.
This made me cry Eva, thank you, so beautiful. I resonate with the spirit of you, I too was a traveller for many years, until severe chronic illness has meant I can barely move from room to room. I've been reminded of that part of me, that I've tried to push down because my reality is so different - but I know now she lives on in me, I shall let her rise and be free. Go gently dear Eva x
I’m excited for you always do what’s best for your heart, but I must admit I was kind of hoping you would explore more of your beautiful country looking forward to the next episode

I’ve found that being alone makes space for creativity, and being in nature allows clearer thoughts, reflection and renewed energy.
Vilk is so beautiful and has such intelligent expressions...especially the love eyes for his Mama. ❤
.. the one big difference between some 'animals' and humans is 'language'..
Totally get what you mean. I’m loving my solitude too. Happy & Safe travels to you and Vilk.
Ms Eva you can feel overwhelmed alone on a boat in the ocean and completely alone in a crowded room. It's about what's in your heart and mind. Enjoy your solitude and keep doing what you've been doing just be safe and keep sharing your adventures as long as you're good in your own skin I'm sure it'll be another great year 🤠
So well said!
@evazubeck maybe we'll see you in Texas later on in the year 🤠
Thats y I turn to Jesus our lord and savior , doesn't matter where u r he's always there
@@DKarGarage 💯
@@DKarGarage must be nice to have an imaginary friend, lol!
So glad you are coming back to the USA!
please stay safe Eva .Have a great journey .Looking forward to your adventures .
ODYSSEYYYYY! 🎉
You have a save trip, Eva! Keep us all updated, but more importantly, make sure you find your peace and happiness again! 😁
Love your boots and love your way of being ! I wish you can find whatever you´re looking for :) Now time to watch this. Peace and love
Eva⚘so happy you, Vilk & Odyssey are back on the road again.
I enjoy your adventures so much. Proud to say I haven't missed an episode in years
Charming grandparents.
Have a safe trip Eva. Thank you for documenting and inspiring! ❤
Welcome back to Sweden! Hoppas ni får en härlig tur! (Hope you two have a lovely trip)
Been watching for some time now, glad to see you are back in Odyssey. When you and Vilk are traveling, to me those are your best videos. Travel safe and also stay warm....
The great thing about having a home base is that you can go off wherever, but always have somewhere to come home to when you get tired of the road.
thats a good way to say it. your running towards something not away. i love that
You are never alone, we all have your back. And you always have Vilk.
Awww!
You're definitely one of a kind...Happy Trails 🐕
Thanks for posting, Eva. It's amazing how much Poland looks like the place where I live. Happy trails.
Welcome back to my beautiful country! I hope you’ll have a magical stay ❤
What about wildlife?
ODYSSEY!!! 🤩 It's good to get away and enjoy the journey. You may be doing all the driving, but we're all enjoying your trip. Thanks for bringing us along. Have fun and be safe 👋
You’re awesome Eva!! I admire you a lot
So happy for you (and Vilk) and your understanding of how to work your way through life. Your travels and adventures are such a pleasure to follow! Looking forward to your future adventures, a person has to do what they feel is the best for themselves, and you’re not alone by any stretch of the imagination. As a matter of fact, you’re right where you need to be!!! Thanks for bringing us along for the ride, and hope you make it to the U.S.A. sooner rather than later. Happy trails Eva, and no, you’re not running away from something, you’re running to something better. Bring it Eva, we’ll follow and cheer you along all the way! 💛💪✌
When you see the Land Rover, it reminds us of viewers of your dear grandpa. He helped initially with the wood inside. I like the Christmas skiing trip with your mom and brother and making Perogies. Glad America has a pull for you as it did my Polish great grandmother.
Not running away! Running toward your truest self; reminding yourself of your very essence when you choose your solitary trips. That’s how I see it.
I wish I could give this comment many thumbs up.
OMG your grandma sandwiches brought tears to my eyes. I soooo miss my grandparents, but most of all babci kanapki, and dziadka bajki:) Safe travels Eva and Wilk!
"I am not running from, I am running to" is always my answer when people ask me "what are you running from?!!" Thank you for sharing your journey!! 😊
well said👍
This sounds like an amazing journey. Thank you for taking us along with you. Especially those who can't follow.
As a grandma never feel bad about leaving im sure they miss you but they will be happy knowing you are doing what makes you feel happy. I am looking forward to your next adventure. Stay safe out there 🌨 🌨 🚙 🚙 tree
I am so sure that your grandparents want the best for you only want you to go out there and be yourself and explore the world. They know how fast life goes by more than anybody and I’m sure they would never hold you back. They’re always with you no matter what. Be safe out there! Sending love and prayers from southern Nevada.
As usual I always look forward to your posts. I can't speak for you, Eva, but for me alone time is the way my batteries recharge. I am basically a loner and, although I sometimes need to interact, only alone time can give me total peace. Looking forward to seeing your Artic adventures!
Your travels and videos inspire me, so much, that words can't describe. Thank you.
Being alone in the “REAL” world is so liberating. You Go Girl! A solo girl with her dog! Love it❤ Thank you for posting and bringing us along on all your adventures.
Thanks for coming along!

Not all who wander are lost. Happy Journey!
When you said your the kindest version of yourself on the road, ive never been able to put that into such simple words! I relate to this so much. Ive always solo travelled and sought out peacful places to explore, it lights me up inside. I love connecting with others but also love my solitide!
Its such a strange dynamic of wanting to be alone but uploading your life for millions of people to watch and discuss.
gotta pay the bills some how.
fake feelings.
Yeah, genuinely asking if any doctor can explain this phenomenon? Why or how One would rather post and interact with millions of strangers behind the screen than have genuine connections irl.
It's not a dynamic. It's a personal choice. And being an introvert
You’re all thinking inside a tiny little box. I can’t even wrap my head around such small thinking comments.🤯
Eva, you rock! And, I totally get the whole “social recluse” thing. You are perfect just the way you are. Don’t listen to people with chains on their brains.✌️
I love your distinction between solitude and loneliness
You are such an enigma, you share so much about your life and adventures and yet I have no idea what’s really going on in your head. safe travels, and thanks for sharing your journey
@jasonbutterfield8300, agreed. Greetings from my countryside vlogs 🐕😊🐓 and Eastern Europe 😊
@ I subscribed to your channel. It’s always nice to meet kindred spirits and fellow adventurers. 🙂
@@jasonbutterfield8300 nice to meet you!
@ Nice to meet you too! it seems like 2024 was a down year for you. was it? It was for me. Here’s to new beginnings.
@jasonbutterfield8300 it was... Yes!
Love it !! Looking forward to the adventure.
So much drama. I miss the old days when Eva's video were such a pleasure to watch. I'll miss Vilk. Be safe, Eva. Goodbye.
This video touches me like your video's used to do. Thank you and have a good journey.
I need to be alone... but I'm a sucker for people's admiration😅 I love your videos Eva, but is too much drama lately.
I feel the same way.
So true… I used to enjoy her videos. Now it’s just drama and self indulgence.
@@79reynevan Well there is kind of a difference in fans and stalking ^^
@@johanandersson9208 of course, what I mean is more that 95 out of 100 people would switch places with her, because she has an amazing life, so you come back from your often boring job and want to see Eva's next adventure and you get bitter regrets instead.
Looking forward to your exploration!
Love your content. Hate click bait.
I feel ya on wanting to being alone. Sometimes we just need to reset ourselves to disconnect, find ourselves and reconnect. Plus, you have the greatest company along with you! Be safe and enjoy yourself out there!
Those who are in search of them selves are alone, those in search of solitude bring them selves along and are never alone. Enjoy !
spot on
Prayers are always with you
Dear Eva.
Have you ever thought about consulting a psychiatrist🤔.
have you?
There's nothing wrong with solitude and peace
Interesting. I'll have to check out your UA-cam channel for more mental health insights.
Oops. Nothing at all there. Never mind.
Why travel to a country that is turning Fascist. No thanks.
I live through your adventures. Thank you for sharing your journey
Goodbye... again 👋
She seems to prefer goodbye instead of hello, forever making herself illusive, forever being a wisp of wind.
I have several cousins like her. Now they are both 55 and alone. It’s incredibly depressing to see them realize where their choices have taken them.
Love your authenticity 🥰
Safe journey! Looking forward to a new adventure! I'm 63 yrs and travel vicariously thru you!💜
This made me cry Eva, thank you, so beautiful.
Yay!! I could really use being a hermit as well, together with my OH, unfortunately we can't afford it, as ridiculous as that may sound.
It’s not cheap 😢
I’m excited for you always do what’s best for your heart, but I must admit I was kind of hoping you would explore more of your beautiful country looking forward to the next episode
