ashlyn isn't just an album, it's a cultural reset, it's the oxygen you breathe, it's a lifestyle, a reason to breathe, an escape from this cruel world, it's art, the first gift you open on christmas, a hug from a loved one, everything you've ever wanted
@@kylahgreen I think it was a motorcycle accident but I'd have to double check Edit: so I was wrong he passed because of an overdose. I must have mistaken him for someone else.

one of my favorite parts of this album is the "transition" between always and moral of the story. you didn’t include it but after the "real song" Always ends, she added another part, which goes so well with the beginning of moral of the story. it is that little detail that makes me want to listen to that album in the right order over and over again.
heads up: "sour" by olivia rodrigo will be released on may 21st and her new song good 4 u on may the 14th also, i think u should react to THE DRIVER ERA and to Julia Michaels new album "Not In Chronological Order"!!! ps, ilysm blake!!

Ashe also has a playlist on Spotify that has all the music she was inspired by while creating the album, I feel like you would get a lot out of that, context wise.
You were right about moral of the story being made earlier. The original (the one without Niall was put out in February 2019 while save myself (the song that started steering towards the album) was released July 2020
i'm soooo happy you did this album, ashe is awesome! and i was so happy when you said always reminded you of frank sinatra bc that was exactly my first thought too! i loved all her influences she brings with this, it all feels so vintage and elegant
Its also super cool how some of the songs (if listened to in order) blend into each other like not mad anymore, always, and moral of the story all have transitions at the end that start the next song
Thank you for mentioning The Carpenters, I really got that feeling from Ryne's Song. I felt that this album had a really classic, 60's/70's feel to it. Inspired by The Beetles, The Carpenters and Frank Sinatra (My Way). Plus her jazzy, alternative sort of voice, and that made for a really great album.
Love this video, Ashe is so underrated. Blake can you PLEASE react to The neighborhood (their album wiped out! and i love you is amazing) I enjoy your videos sm🥺
I was so happy to see you reacted to this album, I’ve been waiting for this one. But Blake you should listen to the very end of Always because it transitions very smoothly into Moral of the Story.
i've watched three other reaction videos to this album and FINALLYY someone hears the adele in "Always" 38:55 the first time i heard it i immediately thought of "All I ask", i KNEEWWW you wouldn't let me down blake!!!
great review definitely gonna want to see a more full in-depth one. i love this album I think it's very unique for this time yet so she. i also think the transitions between songs especially not mad anymore, always and moral of the story are very cool!
OMG YAS!!! The Beatles and Panic! At The Disco influence in I'm Fine. I noticed it and I was like... is it just me or... xD And Love is not enough has such a Carole King kind of vibe, love it. I guess someone already posted it but the 23:14 "it remind me of something" in Save Myself is Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
i was crying to rynes song because everytime it comes up i start sobbing and everytime blake would pause it i would just hold my mouth so i can hear what he says
Why did i feel impressed by myself for realising always sounded like adele and my way before you did? I also love this album so much my favorite right now is not mad anymore
Apparently I forgot to edit it “Me Without You” I’ll make a separate video 😂
I was about to comment about this 💃🕺

god this song broke me
Do you know how he died? I’ve tried looking it up and stuff but I can’t find anything about it

when i listened to "always" i said that it gave me adele vibes and he said the same thing i feel smart
The “saved myself, time and lots of money” reminds me of a part from the Audition song Emma Stone sings in La La Land.
