The system confuses me and maybe it’s supposed to be like this and I’ve never messed with compound turbo systems but why is the the biggest turbo feeding compressed air down to the smaller turbos and having to spool up from exhaust gasses that have already flown through two other turbos??? Seems like it should be the other way around to get it to spool up as fast as possible

that's how compound systems work. the smallest turbo is the high pressure one. it allows for very fast spooling.
Without any anti-lag that thing must have the worst turbo lag known to man
