  • Saxon "Motorcycle Man" taken from 1980's "Wheels Of Steel" from the nwobhm band.
    Lyrics
Do not stop me do not try
    Cause I'm a motorcycle man
I get my kicks just when I can
    Motorcycle man
    Motorcycle man
I can beat your street machine
We're taking risks, that's what we mean
    Cause I'm a motorcycle man
We get our kicks just when we can
    When we can
    Motorcycle man
    Motorcycle
If you see me riding by
Do not stop me do not try
    Cause I'm a motorcycle man
I get my kicks just when I can
    When I can
    Motorcycle man
    Motorcycle man
    Motorcycle, motorcycle
    Motorcycle man
I can beat your street machine
    I'm taking risks, that's what I mean
    Cause I'm a motorcycle man
We get our kicks just when we can
    When we can
    Motorcycle man
    Motorcycle man
    Motorcycle, motorcycle
    Motorcycle man

Paul Quinn's solo on this is so physical, and visceral, the majority of rock/metal players nowadays would struggle trying to play it. Great player.

    YEAAAAAAH!!! FUCKEN YES!!! SAXON RULES!!!
This fuckin' kick-ass song is followed by another great one "Stand Up And Be Counted" on their "Wheels of Steel" album (vinyl LP). Back in 1980 those two fucking amazing tracks were my wake up songs. hahaha...
I saw Saxon in concert for the first time way back in 1981 (the band Ratt opened for them) at the Whiskey A Go-Go in Hollywood, CA with the exact same line-up as here: Biff, Paul Quinn and Graham Oliver (guitars), Steve Dawson (bass), and Pete Gill (drums) and they were fuckin' great. The funny thing is that the opening band Ratt later on became better known than Saxon in the United States (if only for a couple of years) thanks to their lame ass song "Round and Round" which got played on radio and MTV a lot. And now Ratt is long gone and forgotten by most of their listeners from back then while Saxon slowly, but surely, have become legends and Heavy Metal gods.

I ADORE Saxon, they are my favourite classic metal band. Their riffs are some of the best ever produced not just in metal, but in the entire rock history. That said, for intellectual integrity's sake, it has to be said that their motorized, take-no-prisoners sound was to a very great deal modelled around Ted Nugent's solo efforts in the mid-'70, even though they definitely made it a thing of their own

My Granddad was a dispatch rider in the Hungarian Army on the Eastern Front during WW2. He rode a motorbike and carried messages between the various units. It was an incredibly tough and dangerous duty and Granddad was actually shot in the leg once. But he rode on.
He recovered from the wound, survived the war and lived until 1990. All the time, he hated Communism and loved motorcycles.
I think of the old bastard every time I hear this song.

We are in love with this awesome creation. To spread it throughout our friends we use it as a background music of our first video i.e. History of Motorcycle(Trailer)& we also add an extra tab to which shows the soundtrack- saxon(Motorcycle man). Some how UA-cam claim for copyright & we don't know why that claim remain same. We have to change the audio track with same soundtrack tab!

That might be because Pete Gill was playing drums for them back then before he joined Motorhead.
