Great reaction. 'Metal Kingdom' is the first song on their latest album (The Other One), so of course they used it for the epic theatrical opening number at their concerts at the end of January where this was filmed - their first live concerts in nearly 2 years. Flugelhorn Old Man in Japan has already described what it was like to be there - we are all jealous.🤘🦊🤘

Is always nice to see old BM fans and reactors coming back to hear more of them, this time returning with a more mature sound and a new BM side we've never seen before. You can also enjoy "Divine Attack - Shingeki" official visualizer, "Monochrome" official lyrics video and Light And Darkness official MV so far no one is having any copyright blocked issues so don't worry about it.
This is why BabyMetal has no match among any other Japanese artists, top notch worldwide. Some are finding Game Of Thrones resemblance on this stage setup, it looks insane. The ten apostles are holding crossiers with "The Other One" logo which is similar to the infinite symbol "OO" and is the title of the 4th album released in March. The girls are carrying some kind of trident similar to the Spear Of Destiny or Lance Of Longinus from Evangelion anime series, if you know MoaMetal you know you gotta be careful with her. 🔱

At the end of January at Makuhari Messe they held two great live shows returning to the stage after almost two years. and by far they met up my expectations with this epic live performance and top notch production.
SuMetal and MoaMetal show why they're a queen and princess deserving their thrones. The cinematic drone shots are just insane.
You can also find a dance choreo version performed at recent live concerts when going on this World Tour, Japanese fans couldn't enjoy this version yet, you can find a fancam compilation around with some of the best shots if you wanna know about it.
We were expecting this live proshot version but the live sound is available at the official WOWOW streaming and BD/DVD already out.
There were so many big news and announcements back then after this show, a new official member was announced when performing at PIA Arena MM in Yokohama during the Fox Day (April 1st), Momoko Okazaki (the one who has been performing with them since 2019 all these years and latest live concerts) was the chosen one and she finally got her metal tag, say welcome to MomoMetal, we're proud of her and she really deserves it.🍑❤️ Also they introduced a new young BM mirror unit coming from another world of this metalverse, we're slowly getting more info about them with this Metalverse project and apparently they will be performing in more concerts and festivals such Summer Sonic next month opening the line up.
The Kami Band were located in the east side of the arena, but if you pay attention you can see some of them during this clip.

Yes, they spare no expense when it comes to live performances. And they don't usually break their character... Only that their character is supposed to smile almost all the time (at least for Moa and Momoko) haha... But not here. This was the serious way they opened their first show after a long hiatus. The song is also their new album (The Other ONE) opener.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 This MV is from Makuhari shows on Jan.28 /29. I witnessed both shows at the venue. This was the perfect opening song. You saw one octagonal movable / elevatable stage but actually there were two identical stages on the long runway for more surprising production. Several drones with camera were flying around all over the venue. (Those drones were manipulated by drone racing experts)
Once this opening song by Su and Moa got started, I had goosebumps all over my body. The show was held after the almost 2-year long hiatus after all. Seriously many of audience (including me) were moved to tears and/or dropped their jaws when the gigantic fox wall opened and the thrones came out. Yeah! I chanted all through the song. ♪ Oh oh oh o o o ♪. What a happy experience!! The Kami band was playing on the east stage that was not captured in this video.
After this opening with stateliness, 3 girls performed 12 songs with Momoko Avenger, she became the official 3rd member, Momometal, in the April show. You saw three thrones at 05:30 in your video. That's why.

Man - take five! You absolutely right - we need more metal (music) mystic, like King Diamond, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson... and - BABYMETAL with incredible epic misteriouse show every time!
For me Metal Kingdom is the best song from The Other One album. It has epicness quality as a soundtrack, not all music has it.

This is an homage to the Lance of Longinus from the anime Evangelion. It is only for this song.

This MV mixes scenes from their first show after their almost 2 years hiatus, and the audio from the album. The live version has a longer intro, and most important, all the chorus is chanted literally by the crowd, the effect is powerful and outstanding!
The song is the opening of TOO album and written to be the new opening for their live shows, though in the end they're using BABYMETAL DEATH again, and METAL KINGDOM has been performed during usually around half the setlist.

Thank you for the reaction. Babymetal is still my favorite group and yes I did travel from the US specifically for this concert. Perhaps the best concert I’ve ever witnessed at 60 years old and having worked security for a number of Metal concerts. If you want more and different Metal you landed in the only country (Japan) that’s been promoting this for over a decade. I have my favorites, but now listen to around 30 different rock/punk/metal groups.

As to the weapon held by Suzuka and Moa I read somewhere that it was used to pin the head between the two prongs until the neck made contact with the smaller prong in the middle (to persuade the opponent to surrender or agree to demands, if not the user would plunge the small prong through the neck killing said opponent). Hope that’s correct because it sounds awesome.
One can only imagine the amount of work that went into the creation of these three thrones.

Unbelievable. All you old metal heads love calling BM gimmicky. It's so laughable. If you knew anything about them, you'd know that they're not gimmicky. Just because they were 3 young Japanese girls singing songs and performing complicated choreography to metal music, did not make them gimmicks. It makes them 3 extraordinarily talented girls. Just go away old man and listen to your 80's and 90's metal with all the growlers. Yeah, that takes talent. Lol.
