- In this video from the 2021 SEMA Show held in Las Vegas NV I catch up with this 1978 Ford Mustang II. I had shot this car back in 2014 at the Detroit Autorama, at that time it was a darker blue and power by a Ford V-10...The car has undergone more than a color change and a Engine swap. It had been at the SEMA Show after I shot it and on the way home the transport rolled over and crashed. The original car know as Mustang Evolution was sent to a couple of different shops for repairs with little progress before finally changing hands...The new owner wanted to make some changes but still pay respect to the original build....It's now grabber blue a original Ford color from back in the day. The Engine has been changed to a Gen II Ford Coyote with stacked injection...Better performance with less hassle over the V10....The tube chassis wasn't hurt in the accident...The rear end has undergone a transformation with the addition of some Ford Torino Taillights...If You seen the original 1978 Ford Mustang II "Mustang Evolution" You will still recognize the car....If this is Your first timing seeing the coolest 1978 Ford Mustang II on the planet....Then check it out!!!

The only cool Mustang II? lol The lightest Mustang ever made, with a state-of-the-art front suspension that made it out handle the previous Mustangs, and can be made fast with some simple engine bolt on parts. Not to mention the excellent(for the era) aerodynamics of the body. The perfect project car. I love racing nay sayers with my II, including the quick bikes. 2450 lbs, 530hp, stroked 302, pump gas all motor.

I am one that never liked the Mustang II. This car has all the glamor of a TRUE Mustang. Super Job and Super Car.

What a cool car Scottie! It’s always nice when you get to talk to the owner and get A little history. The story always enhances the video. Although I must say the picture of the car on its roof made me cringe. Always makes me nervous to transport Expensive cars. Nice Shoot!

Took me a few minutes to figure out what was so special about this new car? It's accully an old 1970s mustang made to look like a newer mustang. Came out great almost had me foold. A younger guy in his 20s wouldn't have known they would have just thought it was a new car.

That looks absolutely fantastic, but I am guessing it can only be a show car? I can't imagine turning off the street into a business and with the wheels turned, them clearing the fender flare when the wheel goes over the curb. The Grabber Blue really adds something to it too.

I changed a lot of things on mine...I put flare finders on it so I could bigger tires on it....strocked the motor out put a better intake on it with a 4 barrel...straight pipes from the manifold....and put American racing mags on it....this was in the 70s....but all jokes aside I continued to work on it and make it faster...when I rolled in to school in that car I turned heads...

So the transmission is in the rear connected to the engine by a torque tube? Because the z06 is a transaxle car.

The thing that makes it cool looking is not the horsepower, but the adding to the wheel base and bringing the front wheels forward. Glad you went to the coyote. The v-10 was a big lump. The v-10 front end weight must have made it steer like a pig. Also thanks for getting rid of the celica rear.

I couldn’t hear what he said those door handles were in the first video of this car you did. Did anyone catch what was said? I also love how he eliminated the turn signals off the grill and added thin ones below. What are those lights off of? I’d love to make the swap on mine.

@@coreybaiera1131 The door handles are Kindig. The front turn signals are from a Jeep Liberty, they fit the custom bumper perfectly!

No nova z28 351 Cleveland could touch me...I could smoke my tires for 1/8 of a mile and could probably done it longer...but I was on school property...so I kind of keep it to a minimum...but back then speed was where it was at...specially in high school
