I just discovered this book by chance. I looked it up and realized what a gift I had been given, to have this book, and discover such a beautiful human being behind it all!

I implore everyone to read this book. 30 mins of your time will change your viewpoint forever. I read the book and bought 3 more for my sisters.

When you create a character then the character has a life and a personality and a viewpoint of things and the artist creates that. It is actually quite brilliant for a person like Charlie to be able to create little characters that can open up our hearts. The book is excellent and I had never ever thought of the moles before. The book is quite comforting.

Artists and composers both live this isolated life when drawing or composing as we are alone with our thoughts and need that space to create but it can lead to feeling cut off..many experienced this in lockdown..some for the first time so I think this book teaches us to love ourselves when we find ourselves in vulnerable situations or when we need to feel loved. We don’t say it enough sometimes. Well done CM..you’re so brave and wonderful ❤😊

Charlie seems so different from the interviewer. So hard to imagine they’re long term friends!

We must not forget that the interviewer is part of his show..
Most of the times though, interviewers in private, are totally different persons and not the hyped-up "funny" persons they (have to) play whilst "in action" ...
I enjoyed the interview, I do have the book, which I think is marvellous and right on time in these dreadful Trumpian times of selfishness and hyperbolic I-ism.
I would like to thank Charlie for his book. Keep courage, there are still kind people around us: we are not alone.
      Greetings from Tulipland!

Oliver Spence - The same way that you can be married to the same person for 35 yrs, without really knowing them. You think you know a person, because you have lived or known a person for yrs, but that person will only reveal bits about themselves that they consider relevant to the relationship.

So true. But he's slightly miffed at himself for not knowing. Definitely the kind of person to talk about themselves though and never get to, or care about what others do.
