The old saying is if you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you always got. My problem is I like comfort and things to stay the same, humans like familiarity and big change is scary but often find when you sometimes are forced to change/adapt it can be scary but ends up being the best thing you ever done.
This couldn't be more true. Sometimes the 'bearable' is the worst, because it doesn't force you to take any action. And the 'terrible' can actually be a blessing, because it forces you to make a change, and you end up with a better outcome. What's important is that we embrace change, and that we go out and make it happen - rather than waiting for it to happen to us.

The Mega Gods have sent me to help you become the best version of yourself. Don't fight it James, I'll be around for a while.
Chronic illness sucks. So, I hope it's not chronic.
Thankfully not chronic Daniel. Just been under the weather, that's all.
