Nick, this is absolutely fabulous! You are incredible! The only thing I hate about you is that you are so far away and I can't invite you to a coffee, trying harder to be your friend. I have a section and a tag in my Daily Notes, in Obsidian: #MoD, Moment of the Day. You're there, man. This "going out for a travel", this excursion you proposed, is an unbelievable adventure I often like to take, but you put it in such an irresistible light, and, then, the moment at min. 15... just took me there; to my grand mother. Man, you are a treasure! Thank you! For the gift, in all senses.

Very cool. This reminds me of Brene Brown‘s book „Atlas of the heart“ do you know it? As a non-native speaker I know how restricting it is when our vocabulary is limited, we can’t express ourselves and can’t be understood. The more words we have the more we (can) belong

I really enjoy Brene Brown's work. Haven't read through Atlas of the Heart, but Daring Greatly was big for me.

@@linkingyourthinking I read her other work too but this book is different. Atlas of the Heart, mapping meaningful connection and the language of Human Experience. It's like linking your thinking, she's mapping language about emotions. From what I know about you, I think you would greatly enjoy this book

At first, it didn't seem very useful, but seeing you move from words to concepts and seeing how different things are connected would be very useful when writing and creating.

Nick, thanks for paying it forward and giving us this gift. Very cool to see a thesaurus within Obsidian!

I love this idea, but I am having all kinds of issues with my vault now that I've downloaded the thesaurus. It keeps indexing, freezing, and shutting down. Also, is it supposed to be different than the version you were showing us in the video? The one I downloaded does not seem to have quite the same layout and features. Hopefully this is operator error and I get it sorted out soon, as this would be an incredibly useful feature for me!

Please open the thesaurus as a separate vault (sorry I didn't include specific install instructions).

Wait... How is language being restricted now? I haven't seen that personally and am very curious about the restrictions you're seeing.

Censorship is running rampant by far-left in my opinion. The word police. Try discussing su1c 1de or mur d3r even with the best of intentions in certain areas of youtube and social media. Poof the comments disappear to others meanwhile to you it looks like they're there. I discovered the hard way when I had a great comment but no likes, realized I had been censored by the channel without realizing it (I logged in with a different account and couldn't see my comment). Also, ever click to expand under the replies but they don't show up? Anyways, I haven't logged the specific experiences but have been running into this the past couple years of self-therapy. Happens more on difficult issues, not so much on casual PG13 types of topics. Also shadow banning. Algorithms designed to protect you from yourself because they know best (and to mitigate risk).

There are obvious ones like book bans, but I'm more focused on less obvious ones that happen subtly in the language zeitgeist.

A good example is UA-cam. There are some words or sentences that if mentioned in a video will make it to become automatically demonetized, "downboosted", or even deleted By the algorithm of UA-cam.
