As "Bharat" is name mentioned in Shri Vishnu Purana its by default most auspicious name 💐🙏🏻
But we have already experienced the effect of Bharat- how can it be the most auspicious? thousands of years of oppression and invasion- we were not India then. At least as India we have money in the hands of people and not in the hands of a few kings, didnt have to face any major invasions, and developed modern industrial and software based economies (though slowly) instead of having only a trading economy.

We should work on providing basic amenities to people of India/Bharat, as most of the people are shudras, who barely got the right to read and write in the last 100 years due to Dr BR Ambedkar or Britishers.

It was always there...all reference to the nation in regional languages in news etc has always happens as Bharat... As per Sanskrit language, sounds have meanings and there is a text called Niruktham which analyses meanings of words based on sound syllables. I am not an expert of Niruktham. But still i heard from several scholars, that Bha means prakasam or light of lights, the essence of the srushti and if none other than Paramathma. Rath means to be conjoined and so Bharath means "United to Bhagawan" . All other historical themes also are great. And the name Bharath is the original name of the country.

Here Bh stands for Saturn but it is having low shadbala strength even if Saturn is Yogakaraka for India independence chart with Taurus lagna. In this wonderful video, it shows why Lord Rama & Lord Krishna were both named so ignoring traditional Moon nakshatra starting syllable.

Further to your well thought through analysis here, I would like to add that the “name” India, isn’t really a name as as such. It is a short-form word for “indigenous” that was pronounced badly as “indgeon” and then became “Indian”. This is also why the Native American tribes are “Indian” because they too are indigenous to this land here. This is why the Native American tribes prefer to be called by their tribe names like “the Cherokee people or the Lakota people” etc.
