Film Emulation on Panasonic GH5

- I was stuck in lock-down so decided to trawl through hard-drives and work on a film emulation technique. This isn't supposed to represent any specific film stock. I was just trying to find elements of the 'film look' that I liked, and try hide the digital nature of this footage. Most of it is shot on a Panasonic GH5, through a few different lenses. My favorite combination for achieving this look is the Voigtlander Nokton 17.5 with a 1/4 Pro-mist on the front. Usually I use a bit of ND as well so I can open the lens up to around F0.95 and get the soft bloom that this lens is so good at. There is also a drone shot from a Mavic Pro 2 in there.
The music is by me.

Very Nice Color Grading and the End Screen Art... omg
Cheers Justin! Appreciate it!
Beautiful work, really good colors and scenes and everything.
Thank you very much!!
This looks truly amazing, you really know how to use this camera. I wish I could master my gh5 as well as you do ! I'm curious about the process you went through to get to that richness and quality in the image. I really like this vintage look. Amazing work mate, keep it up, just subbed !
Thanks Selian! Really appreciate the kind words! There is lots to learn about film emulation, I suggest starting with RAKK productions film emulation videos here on UA-cam. He has some great techniques! I think the biggest thing is making sure the footage isn't too sharp, then putting on a healthy does of film grain :)
@@finnskater82 Thanks a lot for your answer, I'll definitely check that out ;)
Amazing work!
Cheers!
did you use cineprint 16?
Not for this one, this was my own power grade. But I've since got cineprint 16 and combined it with my grade. Will post an updated video at some point
