The Nintendo stuff really tugs at my nostalgia heartstrings. Grew up with those games and the lands appear to be so well done. 🙂 Great vlog as always. 👍

We both completely agree! We grew up with Mario and loved how they did the lands.

After visiting both Nintendo Worlds in Japan and Hollywood, I feel that both parks are better in their own ways.
In Japan, there is a lot more different activities to do, with more variety of different foods that are way better than Hollywood's Toadstool Cafe (Except for the Burgers, Hollywood does them better), they also have their own unique headbands which japan's headbands are better, while hollywood's shirts and hats are better. And rides like Mario Kart, compared to Hollywood, takes less time to line up for than in Hollywood. If you are lucky, you can get in to Japan's Nintendo World as early as 7:30am in the morning.
However, unlike Hollywood, there are some days where you MUST book a Timed Entry Ticket (Virtual Line) in order to get to the park, and sometimes you must go to a specialized kiosk to book them. Meeting mascots (except Toad) is much stricter, due to the fact that unlike Hollywood, you are not allowed to have your phone to take pictures with mascots, you must stand in a specific position when you meet mascots, you must pose how the mascot poses for pictures, and you must pay 6000 yen for pictures.
While in Hollywood, it's just you interacting with the mascot, the staff are allowed to use your phone for picture taking, and you are allowed to greet the mascots with how you like to greet them (plushies).
When I met Peach in Japan, the line takes longer compared to Hollywood (30 minutes in Japan). And she would just interact with the staff member every time and only interact with me based on what the staff tells her to do for the first 30 seconds of the meet and greet to fill in that time. When I even tried to greet her with my plushies, she just ignores them.
When I met Peach in Hollywood the line is way shorter (2-15 minutes), and she is even willing to get to know more of my different plushies, and with Toadette being her favourite, she would always be happy to hold her and hug her for the picture-taking. The meet and greet is straight to the point and no nonsense.

As always great video Sara and Jeff. Both of you are so positive and upbeat, even when giving a bad review on something. I do like seeing the Japanese theme park food, in your videos. See you guys next week.

I was there May 16th! It was pretty cool, being able to ride JAWS as an adult was quite an experience. I felt though that it kinda is a bummer there is only really like 1 real mario ride. I heard the donkey kong one is coming, but until then it felt a bit lackluster. I also didn't buy one of the wristbands though, which I heard is a big part of the experience. To me since I was there only one day and unlikely to really ever return, it just wasn't worth it to me. The doraemon ride was really awesome though, was well worth the wait. Also universal Japan closed insanely early, like 7pm so I was pretty surprised by that.

We also loved jaws so much! We loved the overall theme of the Nintendo land more than the ride itself and also ended up not buying the band for our quick trip. Thanks so much for watching, we appreciate the support.

Hey there. We're planning on going in September. I'm very familiar with Orlandos theme parks but find some of the rules around Universal Japan a bit confusing. When looking at the express passes I see there are timed entry tickets. My understanding is that in order to go to Nintendo World you need a timed entry ticket, or to win the lottery thing. If you buy an express pass with a timed ticket (say Yoshi), does that mean after you do that ride you can line up for mario because you'll already be in nintendo world?

Yes, I believe it does. They do not kick you out of the land after you ride. You can stay as long as you’d like.

hey can i know what day did you guys visit USJ ? it looks less crowded than usual so i was wondering if its during low season/weekday?

Hi, it was a Tuesday at the end of April - I do think the combination of weekday and rain did help with the crowds though.

Do you know if there are coin lockers within Super Nintendo World? I know they exist at the main gate of USJ, but if it gets crowded, I'm afraid I won't be able to get back into Nintendo World once I leave.

Thanks for watching and for the comment. We didn’t see any lockers in the Super Nintendo World area, but we also weren’t looking so we may have completely missed them - sorry that we aren’t more help with that!

First time entering Mario did they let everyone in without having a time slot?

    • @AdultsInDisney
      @AdultsInDisney  11 місяців тому +1

Thanks for watching and for the comment! Yes, first thing in the morning they let everyone in and you didn’t need a return time (for both days we were there)
