- Frank Carballido’s cell phone fell out of his pocket while he was in the midst of a skydive. He tells Inside Edition, “I thought I had my phone on me. But when I landed and went to take it out of my pocket I realized it wasn't there.” He used the “Find My Device” feature to locate the phone’s exact coordinates in Zephyrhills, Florida. The following day, he hopped on his bike, followed a path through the woods, and found his Samsung Galaxy.
Samsung has the opportunity to come up with the greatest advertisement, and he needs to star in it
They would never give a civilian, peon that opportunity.
Any phone would probaly survive this, if this phone fell on any hard surface it would be game over
@@druganov962 no .. iphone will break in 69 pieces if it drop 6 inches -
@@Falcons-283 I have no idea what kind of Iphone you own, or in what country you live in that the grass has the same hardness as concrete.
But my iphone does not do that, at least not in my country lol
@@Falcons-283
you’ve never heard the news of a 737 max where a lot of iPhones fell from 16k ft and stay intact
Plus the usage of 69 means you’re a spoiled kid
This should absolutely be an advertisement for Samsung. 🤣
luckvertisment*
It probably is.
or whatever case he has.
where it falls is more important than how hard it falls
It is
I had the same situation when I was sleeping on the couch and my phone fell out of my pocket.
You had to use your mom's phone to find it?😂
@@E-magineMySurprise sometimes they get lodged in couch cushions and go missing lol
@stuart4341 haha, good point! I've had to interrupt the call I'm on to search for my phone. No judgement here!
Struggles of real life right there! 🤣
lol
If it wasn't for the Find My Device app/feature, he would have never found his phone.
So profound
Really?🤯🤯🤯
Samsung still has smarthing find
He found his phone but no one can locate Flight MH370.
He only found it because of the app, I don't recall there being an app to help locate the plane with exact coordinates
@@tylerjones6092 Okay.
This guy belongs in a Samsung Galaxy ad!
Very irresponsible to have a anything loose on your body while skydiving. Loose stuff = projectiles.
could had hurt someone
I remember another incident not skydiving but a girl got hit by a fallen cellphone from someone on a certain ride. Also another inside edition video. You can look it up in your own time.
I agree!
Luckily,it didn’t land on someone
I use to work at wind tunnel. #1 Rule: always empty your pockets. The wind can and will push it out
Never Bring Cellphone During Skydiving
But what if i need to call for help
🤣🤣🤣
@GarbanzoDragonnah
I want to skydive one day
Never say never
@@eduardo_guzman11use a flip phone.
@GarbanzoDragon theres these crazy new inventions called parachutes, pass this info onto your one remaining skydiving friend
This will be the best marketing advertisement of all time!
Amazing how this dovetails nicely into the Find My Device launch...
That's been around for years.
Luckily it landed in that wooded patch and not that neighborhood shown on that map.
Well that’s the best type of advertisement for the phone company and the phone case company
A lot of Samsung owners saying if it was an iPhone that it would have been broken but the iPhone that fell out of an Alaskan airline 16,000 feet in the air says otherwise. 🤣
iSheep never miss an opportunity to advertise for Apple, free of charge. :)
I have an iphone and yeah, no one cares buddy. Android is superior
cope harder and take out another loan to buy a charger
Good job guys, fighting for the honor of thy masters 😂
My wife won't text you if you have an Android 😂😂😂😂😂😂
And this right here is exactly why Samsung will forever be my favorite Android phone.
Is this a covert advertisement
Yeeep.
@@jimmydishkawnt totally. do you think they think we can’t see that they use news to advertise and they also use news to push the ways they want you to think. Getting abit old..news
It's about time a Samsung phone fell from the sky on like iPhones who always get the credit
samsheep
Imaging being killed by a phone landing on your head
that would be a hit and... fly away? 🤔
I love my Samsung.. let that would've been an iphone.. it would've been a broken, cracked screen mangled mess...
POV you're living under a rock and don't know that one fell out of an Alaska's airline mid flight and there wasn't even a scratch on it 🤣
i had android a while ago and the battery just fell out for no reason when i was holding it
@@cordrust u probably had one of those Chinese knockoff android brands
100% Either that or the battery would be dead 😂
@@cordrust
Battery coming out of a phone? Is this 2012? 😂
He's lucky that it didn't hurt anybody or worse. Very irresponsible. There should be some sort of fine for any loose item that comes off during skydiving.
I agree!
That’s a good Samsung commercial. Because no iPhone is going to be able to handle that fall 😂😂😂
you didnt hear about the iphone dropping from the plane untouched?
bro samsungs break so easily he got really lucky plus that case is really thick. my iphone has fallen on concrete face up countless times without a scratch 😂😂
also his samsung most definitely landed in a tree to break the fall then onto thr ground
100% 😂 Either that or the iPhone better would be dead 🎉
Good promotion to samsung galaxy owners! Wonder if iphone will survive that fall
Well, I mean one iPhone fell out of a plane at 16,000ft a couple months ago, and was unharmed.
Bruh, so that was the guy who impaled me with his cell phone
He is going to appear in the next Samsung keynote. 👏🏽
If I'm samsung I'd make this into a commercial
You can't as the phone had a casing and possibly screen protector it's more on their favor vs the phone.
@@shadowsnake3867 IF that was an iphone, it would have had deep cracks and probably not turn on.
Samsung needs to reach out to him. Great marketing opportunity for them.
Wish i knew the name of the phone case
Imagine if that was an Apple phone that battery would've been died by now. 🤣
Samsung documenting this like 👀👀
Skydiving is something I want to try one day. Sounds fun
When I was in Costa Rica I saw zip-liners (trained professionals) zipping past me with their phones out even when they were hundreds of feet off the ground
Cool story bro
You’ve never been to Costa Rica
Free samsung commercial, an iphone would have cracked from the wind
word
I am glad I only like Samsung
POV you're living under a rock and don't know that one fell out of an Alaska's airline mid flight and there wasn't even a scratch on it 🤣
The iPhone that fell 16.000 feet out of the air during an Alaska Airlines flight says otherwise.
The iPhone that fell 16.000 feet out of the air during an Alaska Airlines flight says otherwise.
Apple you have 24hrs to respond 😂😂
Well that would have been some great footage and a great commercial for Samsung😂😂😂😂
If it was an Iphone it would be destroyed.
The back glass would have definitely broke.
POV you’re living under a rock and don’t know that one fell out of an Alaska’s airline mid flight and there wasn’t even a scratch on it 🤣
POV you don’t know drag.
bro is trippin
Fake skydiving story.
Oh wow..it’s good it didn’t hit anyone
Wow this would've been a good advertisement for the phone 🤔.
Ofc it survived it’s a Samsung if that was an iPhone it would 100% break
COMING SOON: “Hi Frank, this is Samsung Public Relations…” 🤑💰
💀
This is a Samsung ad.
Samsung sales currently 🥇⬆⬆
I tend to have my phone on vibrate so I would never find it 😭
THIS IS A JUST AN AD FOR SAMSUNG!
An iPhone would be shattered 100000%.
The iPhone that fell 16.000 feet out of the air during an Alaska Airlines flight says otherwise.
Also an iPhone fell around that height from another skydiving Cessna and it survived literally zero damage and it was still recording
Death by cellphone. Final destination type stuff.
I have a cheap Samsung, but one time i was so excited to see someone and while running my phone flew out of my hand far across stones and landed face down. It didn't get a scratch on it
*samsung survives 12k drop*
*iphone break when gently falling off couch*
Was expecting he had something like an otterbox case. Saw the full interview and he said the case was $15 from Amazon.
That’s either a good phone, or a good case
Everyone wondering what case he had
Exactly 😂😂...it would be great advertisement for whomever makes the case
If it was a nokia it wouldve shattered the ground😂
I bet Samsung is going to send him a free phone for the promotion of this OR something. LOL!!!!
Samsung needs to pay this guy because is this isn't the best free advertising idk what is!
He’s lucky Florida has been unusually dry!
I use military surplus ammo pouches for my cellphone and they work great at anytime
Shout out samsung 12000 feet still 💪!!!!!
No wonder my samsung hasnt even had a hair line crack dropping it on cement countless times, an iphone breaks from just one lmao
Yeah most phones don't even survive a 500 meter fall.
Me: *phone falls off bed and cracks*
This guy *phone falls from 12,000 feet*
Good thing he didnt kill someone with it. Need to think things through having object in pockets when in the air.
Nice ad Samsung xD Stanley cup fire ad all over
Same thing happened to me! It fell from my nightstand next to my bed. It still works!! 😅
This is a huge ad for Samsung a 12,000 feet landing and still working is crazy but let’s see if they reach out to him but am sure the case help protect it too
And It Was A Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Thank God He Didn't Lose It Forever!
Find my device is only run on apple 😂 Any iPhone user knows this !
Thank you google maps!😂
Shocked it didn’t crack!!!
That's amazing Story!
Good for the man that found the phone, it wasnt broken!?
That's what's I'm talking about Samsung do your thing 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Thank goodness it didn’t hit someone
My step sis was hit in the head by a flying phone at six flags because someone dropped it in the air. Busted her head wide open.
Who could this have killed?! Omfg
Its not the phone but the case 👏
Take notes apple 😂
Great advert for the phone!
Sponsor this man!! 😂
Yeah it's pretty careless that could have sliced through somebody
Samsung we see opportunity of advertisment 😅😅😅😅😅
Must be a really slow news day
easily could have killed someone 😂 this is why we use common sense. they don’t let you bring your phones on roller coasters for a reason that things a projectile at high speed.

This Samsung mobile was a Nokia in a previous life.

If that was Apple phone, it would've been cracked or damaged already.
The iPhone that fell 16.000 feet out of the air during an Alaska Airlines flight says otherwise.
Exactly why I bought one too
where it falls is more important than how hard it falls
I'm not that brave to do nothing like that. NO THANKS
Why was it in your pocket???
At least he found his phone
Samsung can't be bothered to make an ad. They know they have an awesome phone. They built phones before Apple did.
I was impressed with my galaxy s23 ultra when it fell 130 ft high while i was working on a verizon tower. Well i did have a case. But this is insane
Why is this in the news? Lol
