I love this comic! It’s so heartwarming to see such a connection between Donnie and Leo, I love them so much 💜💙
Carol O’Neil here really does give me Camilla Noceda vibes with how quickly she accepts her daughter’s friends and also how caring and nurturing she is towards all of them and it’s really great seeing the turtles with a mother-figure I mean the closest they really got to that was Karai towards the end of the series but she sadly was around so shortly (and I’m pretty sure we would’ve gotten more with her had the show not been cut short).

As for someone that grew up watch TMNT I always enjoyed the little heartfelt moments that come to pass and with this comic it just made me love it even more

I wish there’d been more interaction between Carol and Splinter with Splinter feeling like he’s failed as a father with all the danger and trauma his sons have been through but Carol comforts him and reassures him that he’s doing his best and that there’s still room for improvement.

his shell- Donnie's soft shell F*CKING BLEEDING holy omg I was frigin crying(•_•)
When we think about it... The krang ship's neurotical connection was realistically something what had to forcibly connect itself to Donnie's nerve system. It was heavily played down in the film but realistically, that whole gigantic alien weapon connected itself to his central nerve system through his spinal cord. And if that gets damaged, the brain may never be able to move or feel the body ever again. And the krang just ripped him out of that.
OF COURSE, he would zone out and have these episodes. 😖😓😭
