    So which deck is your favorite?

    @tbatrics Рік тому +1

    Picked this up because I loved the Mickey art. Been playing casually against sapphire deck. 5/1 so far.

    If you were to buy 4 of this deck: what would you use as a list? I kinda liek the mickey/broom combo tbh

      The Mickey/Broom combo would be a good set to max at four. I would definitely max out Rafiki/Maleficent/Friends on the Other Side as well. From there probably focus on the better lore generators in the deck.

    Hi, love your videos! I'm trying to get friends into Lorcana with the precon decks, but we are 4 people, so I need a precon level deck. I'm gonna keep the rarities (and hopefully the power level) the same as the precons.
    I was wondering what color combination and/or archetype you would build as a 4th deck if you were in my shoes? Preferrably showing aspects of the game missing from the other 3 decks.
    Thanks in advance, keep up the good work!

      Thanks! As for a fourth deck that’s tough. There are plenty of combinations to explore but keeping it on the same level of power as the other three could be challenging. If you plan to tune the others as well then Amber/Emerald can get you a true rush deck that focuses on efficient lore generation and tempo cards to try and win as fast as possible

      @@aenima yeah, most combinations of colors have some sort of synergy with one another. The Amethyst Ruby decks have lots of powerful control options with tons of card draw

    From playing these on tabletop simulator, this one definitely feels the most consistent. The Steel/Sapphire deck eventually resolves to top decking, the Emerald/Ruby deck has some crazy good removal spells and good aggro presence, but the Amber/Amethyst's card draw allows it to end up putting out more cards because it has more cards available to it than the others. Even though the Steel/Sapphire deck is usually the one I hear people say is "control", this deck can use its characters to eliminate the opponents board until they have no resources. Then, even at a major Lore deficit, can catch up and win because it simply has more resources. A deck that can play the attrition game like this one definitely has major potential.

    • @HobbyHeroPlays-oi8jt
      @HobbyHeroPlays-oi8jt  Рік тому

      Yeah, right out of the box it’s the most consistent. It’s poor lore generation and inability to deal with evasive characters can cause it to struggle once the additional pack is added to the mix

    • @Killswitchxxl
      @Killswitchxxl Рік тому +1

      @@HobbyHeroPlays-oi8jt I cant say ive ever had an issue with Evasive characters and the other starter decks especially with recursion and jetsam. This deck seems outrageously consistent enough with draw power that when you draw 7 drop Dr.Facilier or are able to Shift him turn 5, and you never quest with him, the only starter deck that seems to be able to deal with it is Steel and fire the cannons, and thats barely. Pairing him with rafiki as absolutely insane aswell. Just clear characters at no cost other than 3 ink. The deck is presented like a fast early game deck, but it seems way more powerful when you start attempting control/midrange

    • @HobbyHeroPlays-oi8jt
      @HobbyHeroPlays-oi8jt  Рік тому

      @@Killswitchxxl out of the box the deck definitely has a big advantage over the other two. Has the fewest “bad” cards and the lowest number of uninkables. The problem is the deck has weaknesses that the other two decks can exploit and if they get to make their decks better with the extra pack this deck has very little room to improve its self with that pack.
      Ruby Emerald has more Pongos than you have ways to deal with them in the deck as well as Peter Pans. They also have three copies of Mad Hatter which three lore generators are bad enough but one that will always draw them cards off of Amber Amethyst is incredibly strong.
      Sapphire Steel is just loaded with two lore generators that you really don’t have a ton of favorable trades with. They can jump to 10+ lore very quickly and then just keep putting down characters to quest even if they can’t protect them. Throw if a few choice removal spells to disrupt the early game and Amber Amethyst can find themselves way behind on lore before they are able to stabilize the control game.
      Not saying the deck is bad in starter deck challenges but has some pretty big blind spots that can be taken advantage of in those matchups.

    The Ruby/Emerald is the one I’m most comfortable with, so it’s my favorite. I think I’ve wanted to play it more because I see it as the weaker deck and that made me want more practice with it. But I placed 3rd out of 32 with it tonight, so I feel good about that!
