yeah dude i totally forgot to mention that i used the souls like genre AS the rpg haha games like baldurs gate tho that style i feel rarely work on a platform like steamdeck so i didn’t do it
Short list of some to consider putting in the next list like this: Arafell - 1gb 94% positive Sea of Stars - 4gb 88% positive Coromon - 1gb 87% positive Disco Elysium - 10gb 93% positive Dusk Diver - 4gb 86% positive Elder Scrolls 4 - 6gb 95% positive Fallout New Vegas - 7gb 96% pos Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth - 4gb 91% positive Persona 4 Golden - 10gb 97% positive Tokyo Xanadu - 6gb 86% positive And oh so many more rpgs are one of the top genres on deck def include at least one if you ever make another one of these!
@MajorPineapple ehhhhh yeah I guess souls likes are technically rpgs but they are such a majorly different vibe for a majorly different type of gamer than most rpgs
The list is cool and all but apart from getting one of every game genre, is more up to the person style to pick more replayability games. For me, it falls under this list of mostly simulators (well hitman is a hitman simulator after all) - Hitman 3 (huge, perfect fun stealthy and freelancer mode = infinity) - DRG (because perfection) - Satisfactory/Factorio (YESSS) - Stardew Valley (of course) - And well I can even put some EuroTruck for some driving fun, even if I prefer controling on wheel xD
@@MajorPineapple yeah, it is kind of hard to get into it maybe, but maybe there is something to you! I actually entered the genre on some cleaning and cooking simulators (house flipper and overcooked/cooking simulator for example), and farming (stardew valley), but I actually went all in on automation games, and thaaats the coolest xD... shapez, factorio, satisfactory, there is ALOT XD
My favourite game for the steam deck is terraria, it works really well with the trackpad, has atleast 50 hours worth of content from 1 single playthrough alone, has a banger soundtrack, easy to install mods using the official mod loader (tmodloader) on steam and has some of the best bosses in any video game ever. Oh yeah and it takes up only around 600MBs of storage and lasts a while battery wise because of his optimised it is. Best 10$ ive ever spent. 5 if its on sale.
I think Snake Pass is an underappreciated gem from Sumo Digital. :) 3.36GB! It's hard to define the genre though, I would call it a movement-based puzzle game. And the fun factor really lies within mastering snake slithering around various maps and hazards. Great fun for what it is! Unique and fresh concept in a stagnated AAA gaming market.
Some games I liked to play on Steam Deck (that I wouldn't have somewhere else) are Tales of Arise, Hellblade (messed me up a few days ago), FF15, Dishonored, Scarlet Nexus and Combat Master is nice.
scarlet nexus is fire! i had it on my series s but never beat it lol i have it on steam but haven’t touched it yet. the tales of games are pretty rad too! what’s combat master i’ve never heard of it
@MajorPineapple Very neat games indeed. Combat Master is a free shooter game Verified on Deck and it's my replacement to COD. Movement is great and the snipers feel amazing (I use the right touchpad as a mouse, which is the best to play with).
@MajorPineapple I was also surprised to have found it. It is good enough graphics, run amazing on Deck, doesn't use much battery life and I only encountered one guy floating on top of the map shooting everyone ending with a 50+ kills match out of the many games (nice).
saints row was originally going to be a ps2 game but in 04 gta SA came out and made the people at volistion rethink the games strategy and re write alot of the games themes: the game was going to be more griddy and have alot to do with gang on gang territory like GTA SA and they dint wanna be seen as copy cats even though the games where in development pretty much 2002 and on ward like gta sa. so they switched from griddy to campy. and with that change so did the platform from the ps2 to xbox 360 some time during 04. fun fact about the dev kit for the xbox 360 its a power mac G5 with ati Radeon 9800 pro gpu, and why ? well the mac used power pc and the xbox 360 was also going to use power pc.
I love the arcadey action of Saints Row! Soulslikes are too frustrating for me. I like rpgs that get easier as i get progress through the game not harder!

Love the video conceot but i cant believe you didnt include an RPG so many good ones with small file sizes on deck and they are def one of the most popular genres rn Baldurs Gate has been #1 on deck leaderboards for so long
yeah dude i totally forgot to mention that i used the souls like genre AS the rpg haha
games like baldurs gate tho that style i feel rarely work on a platform like steamdeck so i didn’t do it
Short list of some to consider putting in the next list like this:
Arafell - 1gb 94% positive
Sea of Stars - 4gb 88% positive
Coromon - 1gb 87% positive
Disco Elysium - 10gb 93% positive
Dusk Diver - 4gb 86% positive
Elder Scrolls 4 - 6gb 95% positive
Fallout New Vegas - 7gb 96% pos
Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth - 4gb 91% positive
Persona 4 Golden - 10gb 97% positive
Tokyo Xanadu - 6gb 86% positive
And oh so many more rpgs are one of the top genres on deck def include at least one if you ever make another one of these!
@MajorPineapple ehhhhh yeah I guess souls likes are technically rpgs but they are such a majorly different vibe for a majorly different type of gamer than most rpgs
The list is cool and all but apart from getting one of every game genre, is more up to the person style to pick more replayability games. For me, it falls under this list of mostly simulators (well hitman is a hitman simulator after all)
- Hitman 3 (huge, perfect fun stealthy and freelancer mode = infinity)
- DRG (because perfection)
- Satisfactory/Factorio (YESSS)
- Stardew Valley (of course)
- And well I can even put some EuroTruck for some driving fun, even if I prefer controling on wheel xD
@@apneroh hit man is a hit man simulator lol
i tried the simulator style games but they don’t really hook me, but goat simulator is gas haha
@@apneroh yeah i’ll definitely try checking some out homeboy!
@@continental_consumer yeah i hear terraria is fantastic i wish minecraft was on steam

What is a good Lego adventure game to play? That would be sick on my deck
my favorite is the star wars skywalker saga, but lego batman 2, lego marvel super heroes would be another couple i’d go for
I think Snake Pass is an underappreciated gem from Sumo Digital. :) 3.36GB! It's hard to define the genre though, I would call it a movement-based puzzle game. And the fun factor really lies within mastering snake slithering around various maps and hazards. Great fun for what it is! Unique and fresh concept in a stagnated AAA gaming market.
@@PixelShade i remember seeing switchforce look at that it always looked so nifty & fun!

Some games I liked to play on Steam Deck (that I wouldn't have somewhere else) are Tales of Arise, Hellblade (messed me up a few days ago), FF15, Dishonored, Scarlet Nexus and Combat Master is nice.
scarlet nexus is fire! i had it on my series s but never beat it lol i have it on steam but haven’t touched it yet. the tales of games are pretty rad too!
what’s combat master i’ve never heard of it
@MajorPineapple Very neat games indeed.
Combat Master is a free shooter game Verified on Deck and it's my replacement to COD. Movement is great and the snipers feel amazing (I use the right touchpad as a mouse, which is the best to play with).
@McSmurfy WHAAAATT BRO IM DOWNLOADING THAT RIGHT NOW!!!!
