It’s October 18, 2024. I just ran across you and your music. I’m not a fan of jazz per’se but …..I can’t stop listening!!! It started yesterday afternoon and I couldn’t wait to listen again today ❤
I guess that Elvis was minding the kids...great wind effects for this song...and once again, thanks to Bobby Troup for writing this song and thanks to Nat King Cole for making it so popular that we're still getting to enjoy it to this day thanks to the talented Diana Krall...

@@Peter-ff1tp BUT were they still using film stock or digital, SMART GUY! Can you tell me, that?!? By the way, they did use 35mm film stock for "LOTR: The fellowship..." Nice try, smartass!
@@Peter-ff1tp Are you suggesting that this TV production was filmed on Super 35 film? Because LOTR was. One thing has nothing to do with the other. This was recorded with (probably digital, by that point) HD video cameras or camcorders. People forget these days that even analog high definition video has been around since the mid '80s. Saw Diana in Melbourne, FL at the King Center. Not only is she one of hottest lady piano players and sexy singers of our time, her shoes are always hot and sexy, too! Sylvia

above average looks with sun glasses on. above average piano playing. average at best vocals... one heckuva career considering. Barely acknowledges there’s an audience. She’s got the formula down.
These were all younger accompanying musicians? How do they get to back up an icon like Ms. Krall? Tryouts? Applications depending on venue, event, tour? Are their short-list of qualified and highly regarded players or an elite list? Usually, Diana has a very seasoned array of players in her orchestra......these young guys, how did they get on this stage?
Always enjoy Diana but she looks a little agitated here. Not sure if she’s not happy with the guitarist or what. Could be the windy conditions as well.
Too heavy with the left hand -- and, tempo way too fast. Drummer is good and he's holding the stick correctly (left hand). One of her more forgettable performances.
If she wasn't Ms. Costello she would not be anywhere near where she is now. Her voice is very average, her playing is senior college level, she thinks she is much better looking than she is. She's really not all that.

I was scrolling thru the Rt.66 TV theme song music from the 60s TV show and came upon this gem by Dianna Krall. Great rendition of this classic!
I guess that Elvis was minding the kids...great wind effects for this song...and once again, thanks to Bobby Troup for writing this song and thanks to Nat King Cole for making it so popular that we're still getting to enjoy it to this day thanks to the talented Diana Krall...
Don't think she was married at the time.
Diana, sei una pianista eccezionale e, da buon italiano, sei anche una donna bellissima.
Terrific! The band played great and Diana singing sultry and sweet as always and really took her piano solo for an adventurous romp!
Dam! Great stuff! Love the bass solo!
Such an amazing piana player.......... Great band...
She is first and foremost a great jazz pianist, vocalist second..as this shows..just rocking it!
Diana Krall = sheer perfection!! 💋🎶🎹🎸
That is one beautiful guitar.
Diana is at the top of her game!
Utterly perfect composition.....flawless execution....relentless
My goodness, the chops are insane
Ya man!

That can't be "the" Joe Farnsworth is it? Drums set up differently than how he plays them now and this guy looks just too young?
bravo bravissimo 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
smoking hot the band as well as diana krell
People have to remind what you're making for everybody, thank's
WOW!!!
"Let's get through this song as quickly as possible, collect our checks and get out of here."
Exactly...
Sounds better at 0.75 speed...try it!
considering sunburns on all of them that is plausible and reasonable
Literally

Many years ago when still underage to be in the 'tally ho lounge' Diane would play but never sang.
超いいー!
Who is the good bass player?
Anyone know him?
Diana and Elvis Costello???? One of the most unlikely pairings in some respects, but they have music in common I guess....very little else.
Too fast a tempo methinks, she doesn't have enough time to caress the notes as is her style. But any video of her I love to watch and listen.
The tempo here may be for the guitar to be featured a little on this song.
She counted it off.
I respect her but I think..she doesn't lay herself out, it's "just one day with concert with another thousand of fans"
I suppose you could have said the same thing about Miles.
JAZZ.
The great Nat King Cole would probably say "This girl does my song mighty pretty!"
Nat Cole did not write this song. Bobby Troup was the composer.

is tahah Peter Bernstein?

DK is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Route 66 --this is the equivalent of driving at breakneck speed rarely stopping to enjoy the view.
@@ozbluesman i just watched it again. She attempts to be cool but it comes across as soul-less.

I think that guitar has got water in it.
Hey, isn't that Elvis' missus? thought she looked familiar.
THE GUITARIST IS VERY TASTEFUL..... SHE OVERPLAYS
great musician of course . But as always , as miserable as sin . a pity really as a smile would go a long way!!!
This why in the movies, actors play musicians...they concentrate on smiling for the camera.
anyone remember 77 sunset strip
Mucho ruido y griterío, prefiero su estiló cachondo, suave y romántico...!

Always enjoy Diana but she looks a little agitated here. Not sure if she’s not happy with the guitarist or what. Could be the windy conditions as well.
I'm still trying to understand Jazz, and why I despise it.
Good, but not nearly as the arrangement with Natalie Cole. Hot and super cool at the same time.
Too heavy with the left hand -- and, tempo way too fast. Drummer is good and he's holding the stick correctly (left hand). One of her more forgettable performances.
Okay you should try and do better!
Genau so habe ich Miss Krall auch live erlebt. Total lustlos und uninspiriert.

Awesome. Great tune. Of course all whiteys...I dunno maybe a thing..
To fast imho…
Chuck berry kann das besser
The Russel Malone rt 66 with Diana is mush better than this one.
