I almost forgot about that surprise dicking of a level. It becomes a little easier when you wait to grab the clock at the start, then later on one of the slamming walls opens much quicker/you run right past it.
Glad you're having an easier time with Crash 3. Crash 3 plats was designed based from the time of the 1998 game, which makes it easier since they didn't factor in tech other than running shoes. Crash 2 plats on the other hand was designed much later by different developers in which they factor in other mechanics.
A piece of advise for the jetski level "Hot Coco": you don't need to collect all time crates, you can just go straight for the nitro crate switch and back to the exit. If there is an easy time crate in the way get it.
Someone might already have said this, but on the Pura levels you can run (hold down sprint) straight through the barrels that comes rolling down the hill, no need to jump over them if you don`t have to.
I've been saying this for a bit, but here's a great hint on saving time on the regular levels. You can use the Fruit Bazooka off screen to shoot the time trial clock to get an early head start. You just gotta be at a good distance. This is especially useful on the chase levels
Good run! Already 5 Platinum Relics down! Crash 3 is going well so far! I will say that the vehicle levels in Crash 3 are probably the most difficult Platinums to get. That damage boost through the bombs at the end of Makin' Waves that Lewis figured out I think is _required_ to get a Platinum.
Oh yeah I remember the bike levels being very difficult. They have sections where you have to keep your boost while taking turns and evading the cars. Controls are also more cumbersome while doing a wheelie. Really tough but also fun once you memorize the optimal route.
Orient express - You just had to let go of boost for half a second to jump on the bounce ramp (that's always up/primed) and same for getting both 1 and 3 crates :) Makin' Waves WR is 53:40 by the way!
The first motorcycle level to get platinum you need to hit the first boost pad and keep that boost through the whole level. Bumping into other racers, going off road, or falling down a pit you have to restart the whole time trial.
If you get Aku masks in time trials in levels that you can't use the invincibility boost it's usually so you can run through obstacles to get the best time. The bit at 16.32, if you drove straight through all those and sacrifice your mask you'd save crucial milliseconds too
All that practice you had with Crash 1 and 2 is paying off. I obviously did the platinum relics on Warped first, then I went back to Crash 1 and saved some Crash 2 levels for last
Making Waves having as tight a time is arguably helpful because it means you’ll get really good with the jet ski controls in the easiest level to make the later and harder levels less of a challenge at once
fun fact: most of the platforming levels in this game actually retain it's original Platinum time, so with the movement tech you learn from Crash 2 (Slide Jump and Spin Jump), this game might be a breeze for you
Yeah, that's true. The tech Lewis had to learn in Crash 2 isn't really required in Crash 3, so it should give him an advantage. Also, with the combination of slide jumps and the Death Tornado Spin, you are able to do some really good shortcuts in some of the platforming levels.
Yayy! Been looking forward to this. Warped is definitely the easiest game to get Platinum relics, since this game is made to be rushed. Although Hot Coco is definitely the hardest platinum to get, along with Hog Wild, Eggipus Rex and High Time.
I'm somebody who went through hell and back like 6-7 years ago to get the 30 platinum relics for this game (minus the DLC level Future Tense which i got gold on my first try with the same time as Flaming Passion the first time too) and heres just some of my hardest levels, from my experience at least 5. Gone Tomorrow 4. Any of the egyptian levels. (Tomb Time was personally the worst for me) 3. Makin Waves 2. Hot Coco (Not gonna lie, I cheesed this level, don't do what i did) 1. Hog Ride (you have to plan your turns beforehand cause you have to hold the wheelie from the first boost pad all the way to the finish line) i still have nightmares about this level. It was the most irritating of all the bike levels. Area 51? Isn't far behind though.
In hog ride , you can wait for the cars to go and when the race trace is actually empty of cars , you can start the trial . But you have to wait at least between 2 or 3 min for the next attempt if you want to go with this strategy .( But never do this at road crash or orange asphalt )
Jetski levels are definitely going to be extremely rough and the first motorcycle level is strict too. Only other one I can think of as extremely annoying was the second airplane level in warp room 5.
I don't think I have ever clenched my ass so hard just by seeing someone miss the platinum on the water ski level a few seconds. I thought you had it when it showed otherwise 😂
nice one for getting so many done in one video! let’s hope the rest aren’t so much of a pain in the arse. do you have any plans for the original ctr/ cnk relics if you haven’t already done them?

Have all the fun in the world with that stage. But in general, these are easy relics ESPECIALLY when compared to crash 2 and 1's probably because it was made with the relics in MIND. The only other hard one is the first Crash bike level where you have to hold your boost for the whole track and not miss a single crate. I would practice that stage a bit since the controls like the jet ski ones were changed up a bit for the N-Sane-Trilogy. So you know maybe you wont have to struggle as hard with that one like most of us had to especially when you have to hard turn into small gaps that are just BARLEY as wide as your bike! So yeah good luck with that one. But hey I know you can do them. You're the best

I can tell you that upcoming levels such as a hog ride and hangem high is gonna be in your top 5 worst levels to get platinum relics at least honorable mention
The bike levels are quite easy to plat, there isn't many boxes in those levels and as long as you get them all and win you're pretty much guaranteed plat. Going full speed on pura and getting all the boxes is much more difficult and Lewis clearly has the reactions for it.
Learn how to sacrifice akus for damage boost. You couldve gotten faster time on the jet if you used it on some bombs on the way. Have fun in hot coco and hog ride!

@@mattb6522 I can still understand why they spoiled controls of pura and bike while boosting. I don't like it, but at least there's logic in it.
