- 🚢🎥🎬The installation ship is 100 meters long, 40 meters wide and has a usable deck area of 2,900 square meters. According to RWE, it is the first in its class worldwide that can transport up to four wind turbines in the multi-megawatt class at the same time. With the unusual naming, the Essen energy supplier wants to build a bridge from the past of coal mining to the future of renewable energies: Victoria Mathias was once the name of a large RWE colliery in the Ruhr area.
The new building, manufactured at the South Korean DSME shipyard, can not only be used as a ship, but also as a working platform: The Victoria Mathias has four 78-meter-long extendable lifting legs, which give her a firm footing during installation work on the high seas in water depths of more than 40 meters allow.

🚢🎥🎬Das Installationsschiff "Victoria Mathias" ist 100 Meter lang, 40 Meter breit und hat eine nutzbare Deckfläche von 2.900 Quadratmetern. Nach Angaben von RWE ist es das weltweit erste seiner Klasse, das bis zu vier Windturbinen der Multi-Megawattklasse gleichzeitig transportieren kann. Mit der ungewöhnlichen Namensgebung will der Essener Energieversorger eine Brücke von der Vergangenheit des Kohlebergbaus in die Zukunft der erneuerbaren Energien schlagen: Victoria Mathias hatte einst eine große RWE-Zeche im Ruhrgebiet geheißen.
Der auf der südkoreanischen DSME-Werft gefertigte Neubau kann nicht nur als Schiff, sondern auch als Arbeitsplattform genutzt werden: Dafür verfügt die Victoria Mathias über vier jeweils 78 Meter lange ausfahrbare Hubbeine, die ihr bei den Installationsarbeiten auf hoher See festen Stand in Wassertiefen von mehr als 40 Metern ermöglichen.

Hi Ray,.. yep, ... and the necessary infrastructure behind such a fleet... simply wow! It starts with the large car, you'll need, just to bring the platform to the lake... all the manpower needed to load and unload it.... really impressive!

Selbst habe ich keinen Schlepper aber wenn und dann die Fahrakkus statt 4 Stunden PLÖTZLICH nur noch 30 Minuten liefern, dann würde ich das Problem nicht diesseits, sondern jenseits der Schleppverbindung suchen 😂
🤣.... wenn da so was dran hängt... dann lässt sich ein leicht erhöhter Verbrauch evtl. erklären 🤔...

Hihi...da kann ich Dir nur zustimmen!! Auch die Organisation die da hinter steckt,... vom großen Auto um die Plattform überhaupt erst dort hin zu bekommen, bis hin zu den vielen kräftigen Händen, die benötigt werden, sie ins Wasser zu setzen... echt beeindruckend!
