This mission is quite easy if you use long range anti-radiation missiles to destroy their radars on land, the enemy loses completly the ability to hit you with missiles from both ground and sea units.
So, how do you actually talk to the tower? That's a cool feature I didn't know about.
He is using the comms function on the panel to get responses, you don't have to talk out loud though you can if you want to roleplay.
On the comms panel (usually on he right side of the dash,) there is a "mic" switch you can toggle. Set it to on and say some commands!

How do you switch camera? I just bought the game and trying to have some fun with it, and boy is it a fun VR game. Love the video.
There is a button on the MFD (The display) called "S-CAM" you can set different Camera positions and change the Field of View for Recording there.

I haven't read the rest of the comments, so someone else has probably already said this: your approach speed is way too high, and at that airspeed the wings are generating all the lift you need. Adding in flaps at the end of your approach increases your lift further, which means you have to suddenly nose down to try and catch the wire. You should reduce your speed on approach, add flaps when necessary to maintain lift, and that will make your landings easier and better.

Also. That ship in the bay lobbing missles at your flight. All of them were indirect fire, suggesting Radar guidance, yet flares were spoofing them, suggesting IR guidance.
Indirect fire data-linked IR missles? As sophisticated as the entire game setup is...../there is no ECM/?!
There is ECM if I remember correctly.

There is a thing I don't understand. Do you have a Hotas? If yes, how do you grab it if you have the vr controllers in the hands to interact with the plane?

Everything is in the game, nothing is outside the game unless you wanna use your joystick but I think that defeats the purpose of the game.
This edit was awesome... action all the way. Wish I was that comfortable with all the controls and weapons. Just haven't had the time to put into it. What with sim racing and all....

Yes they are bots. There is voice recognition for basic commands but they don't always work 😂

your overall landing speed for the first attempt was much too high, the flaps should be out to help you with speed management, but you didn't put them out until you were about to go for a wire

after 30 min of tutorial u know how to fly, and use basic weapons. so its pretty easy. but to get to a similar level like he is i needed like 10 hours of casual playtime to learn all the different missiles and flight maneuvers.
not that hard i only have like 3 hours of playtime and i can already land on carriers

Not really, it's like a simplified DCS.
took me 3 hours to get into combat and about 50 days to get everything down
by "50 days" i meant training with free trials from DCS, yeah, made me 300% better at flying.

Razor is my call sign haha. Saying that I have no idea how radio chatter even works on an aircraft carrier 🤣 I doubt they even talk to the control tower for permission. Pilots obey the ground crew. But for the sake of the game I thought I'd play along.

You'll find it in the briefing room where you find other training missions. It's called 'difficult mission'

Mic option in the lower right of the cockpit. You need to set up windows voice recognition though.

Voice Commands are often done with VoiceAttack or similar (Voice-rec software that just sends Keys so you can build macros for many games)

It’s supposed to be easy and simple while maintaining a little bit of complexity, unlike DCS which can take months or even a year to get comfortable with even 1 aircraft.
id much rather have a fun easy to learn vr flight game than DCS
I think you switched something up, you probably meant the you wish that DCS is more like VTOL ;)
