At 7:45 in the video Sue said they installed their tech in a Leading EV, a Leading EV and did a study with AVL showing a reduction in 19% in Permanent Magnets needed. Hmmm Have always wondered why Exro had Tesla on the Hoist in their Michigan centre. Hmmmmmm Great Video Sandy, thank you!
Sue & Eric, great job getting information about Exro out there. Mr. Munro, thanks for inviting exro for an interview, we need this technology to be more widely known. Looking forward to 2024 with enthusiasm.
Farzyness…. Many thanks for sharing your studio with Sandy! You too should take a trip to Arizona and test drive their Hummer! That would be a great video for your audience. It will put you at the front of the line in this ground breaking technology.
I sent a email few years ago to Munro telling them to check on Exro... and I'm probably not the only one! Finally! More light on a great technology. Can't wait on the follow-up with the Hummer drive! 👍👍
And I have sent emails to Elon telling him about this great technology that could reduce cost of Tesla evs and increase range...obviously he is too busy with Twitter...
Range and costs are the biggest impediment to EV adoption in NA. If Exro's magic helps increase range and reduce costs, isn't this a no brainer? Charging is also an issue but what was not discussed is the coil driver fast AC charging which is integrated in the coil driver. That can be a game changer as well. Eric is so smart... too smart at times. Sue came off very professional and knowledgeable as always. Thanks Munro for listening listening and providing your input.
Thank you Sandy. So was much covered. I was hoping to hear more about how the Cell Driver - could be integrated into charging stations and how it could contribute to energy security.
I look forward to an Exro Coil Driver powered Humvee ride and more conversations around removing the need for an onboard charger. And fast charging on Alternating Current, that would be amazing.
Exro is the tech all EV brands need to cut cost! Maybe Munro should introduce them to tesla :) Im a big fan of batteryswap like NIO, for the example of the taxi driver. Hydrogen in cars is a no go, heavy duty machines on hydrogen is still way te expensive, the tech has a long way to go.
Companies in the EV market need to watch this and look into Exro Technologies. The savings can keep them competitive with Tesla and reduce costs & parts. They've likely heard about em but they might really want to focus on & adopt their tech...
Exro tech plus a power source, not just battery, is the reason I support Exro. Hydrogen fuel cell, battery, or a hamster on a treadmill, or anything else that comes up means that the tech is fundamental.
Wish the interview had focused early on regarding the value of Coil Driver to mass production cost reduction, to range, to torque, to speed with exmaples and comparisons.
1 Exro coil driver + 1 electric motor = 2 inverters + 2 single-speed gearboxes + 2 electric motors (one wired in series for torque, one wired in parallel for speed) + 1 onboard charger. Plus you dont need permanent magnets in your electric motor, you can use aluminum for your motor witing (more savings + weight reeuction), a smaller battery, and you can (for the 800V) use AC fast charging (infrastructure costs are about $3k for AC chargers vs. $30k for a DC charger). This company is going to permanently change the electric car industry.
I'd go with battery swapping for vehicles that drive long distances or 24/7 over using hydrogen. Battery swapping is quicker than filling a tank.and overall more efficient once you take into account all the steps to get it, transport it, store it, etc.
Any Plans yet on testing out the Humvee? I am kinda surprise that they didn't test it out in the GM EV Hummer to slim the weight on that 4.5 ton monster... this Coil Driver could of shaved 10%(ish) of the weight?
Years ago taxi drivers in China started using BYD EVs and found them very useful. They would drive for the morning, charge during their lunch break, and drive the afternoon. NYC and LA taxis drive about 70,000 miles per year. Let's assume that's only one 8 hour shift and seven days per week. It works out to less than 200 miles per day. Assume a 300 maximum range, use 70% (10% to 80% before charging) and that 210 mile usable range covers a full shift. The taxi problem is solved. And Tesla seems to have solved the large truck/semi problem. Go with what is working as hydrogen cannot be economically competitive.
WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN DONE BEFORE WITH MOTORS ? - Its often done with capacitors. Before considering the magnets, with its multiple benefits, I see a two hair-pin motor instantly replacing a two speed transmission. QED. Already we have seen the concept of splitting large battery packs for charging. Applicable to all Tesla models ??? THEY WILL LOOK AT IT.
Thank you Munro for featuring Exro. We really need the industry to notice the amazing tech that they have. Godspeed!

We need Sandy in the Humvee!
We need Sandy on the Board of Directors for Exro as well!!

Our pleasure!
What attractive me to EXRO was the amazing boost in efficiency of electric motors.
Sandy that's a SICK studio.
Some guy named Farzad let us borrow it. He's pretty cool.
Is sandy gonna share it on his X?

@ktm, Would love to hear your thoughts in more detail. Enjoy your input videos!

Missed in discussion: Coil Driver is being looked for big agricultural equipment, motorcycles, ebikes, outboard motors, big mining equipment, etc.
Thank you Sandy! Been looking forward to this. Would love to see more videos where you break down the EXRO Coil Driver!
THANK SANDY ,SUE ,ERIC AND MUNRO …sharing this info 😊💚💚💚
Our pleasure!

This looks like a great time to buy some more stock in Exro Tech.

Go drive the Humvee Sandy !

Great sharing on Exro! Thank you all :)
Amazing stuff.. need to see it in person

WOW, you are Right On! Too much time wasted talking about hydrogen . Focus please!

Great video, interesting technology that they're bringing in, can't wait for it to accelerate the electrification revolution
LETS GO
Thanks 4 video.... Maybe they have the Holy Grail...
Would have liked to see the EXRO Logo behind Sue and Eric….
Sandy, I Wonder if EDISON MOTORS from Merritt B.C. is watching this video?
Excellent Electrical Engineering lessons.
Will there be Part and when?

Need to get Rich rebuilds in on this podcast.✌
Yes we do.

I hope som windmill technical guys hear this , as windmills could really benefit from Euro’s technology
My thought exactly! Can EXRO coil driver inverter on a induction motor be used as wind turbines? (removing the need for permanent magnets?)
So could hydroelectric power plants
Locomotive traction motors perhaps 🤔

Have you heard of hydrogen on demand being developed by HPQ Silicon and friends?
EXRO is very interesting. What are your thoughts, beyond your comments? Seems something new.
What OEM was Sandy about to say? Any ideas? Volvo?
Sandy has driven the Tesla semi. Has he forgotten that?
The battery powered semi with the 'unrealized' trailer was the Tesla.
About guy that "misused " batery, i think that was uber driver that was hosted on channel "KimJava" on youtube
Sandy goes off on tangents way too often lol. nice video though.
Yeah, he rambled a bit toward the end…
Show
Missed a key detail, both sides: EXRO's tech is completely patented. Not patent pending, patented.
NIO uses battery swap stations...
lots of promise, lots of great new leads but not a ton of sales relating to stock prices rising.
Stock price is being manipulated
would like some transparency form the principles as there must be something happening to put a hold on the stock price rising @@surfmunki
Needs UL approval
if hydrogen was a good idea Tesla would do it.
can you make a video when you drive the humvee?
Yes we will.
@@munrolivepodcast When will you drive the humvee with the EXRO Coil Driver in it?
Yeah that would be cool! 😎
Sue needs to go
