Yay! A new Dimash reaction on Dimash’s birthday - good timing! There are lots of great performances of this song, including one with his little sister Raushan (she’s also briefly cameo’d in his newer music video “Together” - a song written by and performed with his little brother, Abilmansur). This is probably my favorite performance of it, though, from his concert in New York in 2019. He’s actually currently living in LA, to work on promoting his music here in the US!
Two of my favorite composers! -- Eric Carmen and Sergio Rachmaninoff! I grew up on a 78 RPM record album of Rachmaninoff himself on piano -- WOW. And Eric's lyrics have always been a beautiful favorite, even if he didn't get the rights to the melody. Dimash's version's unnecessary ending is a bit over the top for me, but his voice is phenomenal, and I enjoyed hearing those wonderful chords again. Thank you for finding this just at this time, and for your great reaction to good music! I think Rachmaninoff would be happy enough with this.
