This is the best video on this subject and its not even close. You’ve explained in under 4 minutes what other videos left kinda vague after listening to them ramble for 20 mins…thank you
I accidentally triggered a scene in Ch3 and it raised my child’s interest in Academics super high. Now she likes Academics but I want her to like Farming. Good to know that I still have a chance to change her interest.
Thank you so much for this guide. It actually has helped with my playthrough. It was that damn cutscene in Chapter 3 that ended up taking over my first file (Married to Gustafa) that my child’s interest went music to academics. Plus those toys… I didn’t think would be huge influences. I learned in my next playthrough (Married to Matthew) and thankfully was able to get my in game child interested in farming.
I got the medal from Sully and showed it to my kid (married Cecelia) and yet for some reason her interest in athletics NEVER budged even a little. The other items worked though.
Ooh that's weird 😬 but as long as you're not aiming for athletics for your child with Cecilia at this time I guess it's not much of an issue? 😅 Maybe the medal works better with someone else's child? 🤔
I really don't want to railroad my game kid into taking an interest in farming and/or ranching, but it was my dream to have them take over the farm in the original but never could, in part because I do not remember any trackers to show progress on interest in certain things.
I wasn't able to play the original so I'm not sure if it was already available then, but I am glad for the progress tracker in this game now since it helps a lot 😌
@@ThalryGames I don't think it was. The most I remember is being able to go into Celia's, Muffy's, and Nami's rooms, and Lumina's in the PS2 version, and find their journals to check how they feel about you. The only other indication I remember someone likes you is them turning their head to look at you as you pass by, which isn't great for seeing what heart events you've seen or knowing how your kid will turn out. I suppose that's one of the more realistic things about the original.
@@ThalryGames In a way, yes, I suppose it was harder, but I loved it enough to be excited when this was first announced. I don't have it yet, but I will soon, maybe next month after getting the raise that's going live in a few weeks.
I need to discourage my character’s child’s interest in music asap. I’m trying to make her take over the farm so she helps me out. I’m on year 3 Fall. I’m a dumb dumb and missed the festival in year 2 where you wish the child to become a farmer, I was too busy with farm work and don’t have a previous save close to that point.😭
I’m going to be honest with you right now if would be better if we can make our own story & ending while we are playing this game in our own way even this game is a remake version from the game cube but we can just live our own story & making amazing memories with your spouse & your child while we taking care of the farm in forgotten valley
Yeah, I felt a bit pressured with the child raising mechanics here, especially during the toddler years when you have to do so much to influence them that it made the later years feel lacking. It would've been nice to have your own story and ending 😌
@@ThalryGames yeah & if would be cool if we teaching the marriage candidates how to be a farmer even they are super new of it then we can teach them before u passed away in the forgotten valley & I will have a hard time teaching Gordy to become a farmer because he love to look at me a lot now even I’m too adorable for him right now ☺️
I love your love for Gordy. 🥰 And it would've been a fun mechanic to be a farming teacher to the villagers, also kinda sad that I didn't get to teach my child how to farm myself before I passed 🥹
@@ThalryGames yeah & I have a bad dream last night & it was about me passed away in forgotten valley leaving Gordy & my son alone in the valley & it was so heartbreaking & when I wake up it was only a dream
Question! I played a file with Nami and had a son. I heard he can be a couple with Kate? Does the same with our daughter and Hugh? Or is it only the son?
Both the son and daughter will have a crush on someone in town (son will have a crush on Kate/daughter will have a crush on Hugh) and there will be an event where you can encourage your child to pursue their crush 😊
Omg I wish I saw this video before ! 😢 My child is a teenager and she don’t have much abilities ! When she was a toddler I didn’t know that I could bring her with me outside ! She spent all the year in our house 😭😭 I’m so angry with, I miss so much thing
Wow i honestly thought i did a good job with my little Amelia in chapter 2 lol i didn't know that doing shore's in front of them or the snuggle options would have any meaning to there career choices lol i just always picked them up and performed one of the actions then talk to them after and they'll say what action they prefer like "snuggle" or "throw me up" i just always did the ones they liked
“Be sure to answer correctly if they talk to you about an item.” What’s the right answer to the seed question though?!? Both answers tell the child it’s a seed, which is the right one???
There doesn't seem to be any influence for the goddess pond, beach, and turtle pond. And the ball and medal are the only items I could think of that can boost athletics, there's not much items for athletics sadly 😣
@@ThalryGames that's a pity, chapter two just isn't long enough to do a good enough career influence for the likes section, that dreaded art skill level seems to always catch up in Nami's kid, I've managed to get the athletes cutscene for both toddler and child, but arts taken over in the teens so I don't hold much hope for an athletics ending now.......
Yeah, we could do so much during the toddler year but when they become teenagers, there's not much we can do anymore. You can keep trying to show the athletics items just in case your teen does a turnaround in the next chapter 🙏
I know this is an old video, but once they become an adult do they help you around the farm? And do you get to play as them? Or once they become an adult is that the ending? It would be nice to play as them. I just found this game for the switch and I’m obsessed! 😂
They can start helping out at the farm when they reach the child stage. When you wake up in the morning, there's a chance they will tell you that they helped out with some farm chores. Unfortunately, you can't play as them when they become adults but you can still continue playing after you reach the ending. 😊
Fought for my life to get my child to have ranching at highest after art took a high road cause of the chap 3 cut scene just for art to take over in chapter 6 it's so over XD
@@ThalryGames It’s okay I prepared for that and made a save end of year 1 so I could go back and redo down the line if I wanna play again 🙏 for now whatever happens, happens as long as my lil man is happy
The child's interests has two things you can check on, the child's likes and the child's abilities. The child's likes will determine which ability they will mostly focus on increasing. While the child's highest ability will determine the ending you will have with the child by the end of Chapter 6. You can check on the child's interests in the resident info.
