Sir iam in Birmingham doing master in data science . Initially I get a job as a kitchen helper in Indian restaurant. Now there are planning to sponsor me as a chef as they have license too .but my academic background is in IT. Did my academic background create obstacles getting skilled visa as a chef ? Plz sir clear my doubt.. I need to seek for job which is linear to my academic qualifications or not ???

Helpful, thank you. Though the music was hellish loud and thus very distracting at times😂

Just one correction - anyone who starts al aw degree GDL or LPC before SQE comes in in Sept 2021 can choose - is not exactly right. Also if you have accepted a training contract by then or a place on the GDL or LPC you can still qualify under the existing system. So you could start the GDL in September 2021 and still be under the existing system if you so choose. I had to check this exact timing with the SRA and they gave it to me in writing having checked with someone senior.
