    Either do the tomato first, or clean the onion out of the dicer fist, there is no way the tomatos would push the onion chunks thru the dicer. Looks just like my kitchenaid dicer, which it a pain to clean also.

    I think the reason it smashed the tomatoes is because the onion is in the way. If you went softest to hardest I think it’s work better.

      Yes, I tried it again without any other vegetables. It worked a lot better. Thanks! 😊

    Thank you for the video and for making it about the machine. I tried to watch it on the Cuisinart site, but I couldn't listen to the lady on there say "um" anymore! The fifteen times she said it in the few meds that I watch with enough for me🤪

    Thanks for the video! Just a note: Don't EVER put your hand into a processor without pulling the plug first. There are some pretty bad cases of the machine turning on; seriously. Better to take that extra step.

    You can dice tomatoes and soft fruits but use low speed.

    • @thehomemakerstale3797
      @thehomemakerstale3797  2 місяці тому

      Correct, the slow speed was used in the video. Tomatoes are always a hit or miss, though depending on the firness/water content.

    Hi! Can the dicing kit dice celery, carrots, onions, and bell peppers for soups? If so, how well does it do the job? Is it worth buying the Cuisinart 13 cup food processor that comes with the dicing kit? How well does the Cuisinart 13 cup food processor work? Thank you!

    • @thehomemakerstale3797
      @thehomemakerstale3797  3 роки тому +5

      Yes, it does dice all of those veggies. I keep diced carrots and peppers on the ready in the freezer. I would do the onions last though, as they require more pushing through with the clearing tool. Maybe I'll do a video with "soup veggies." I love it, it is a vital tool for my kitchen.

      Thank you so much for actually demonstrating what the dicing kit can do! Never owned a food processor and am looking into purchasing one. So hard to choose which one. Know that Cuisinart food processors have been around for a while so wanted to go with this brand. But their product videos only show making things guacamole or chicken salad. Would like to see them showing their product making a nut butter, making dough, or chopping up things besides making things that basically end up blended all together. Was originally interested in the Cuisinart Elite 2.0 12 or 14 Cup Food Processor. Scratched this one off of my list because there were a lot of negative reviews. But now seeing your video makes me want this model. But believe that the dicing kit only comes with the 13 cup. Is this the processor that you are using in the video?

    • @taralee5992
      @taralee5992 3 роки тому +2

      Okay I see that you have stated that is is the 13-Cuo Processor. Is there anyway to do another video showing the dicing kit dicing celery, carrots, and bell pepper? This is the man reason for wanting a food processor is for chopping and dicing. Can’t stand for long periods and need something that will help with the time it takes chopping up vegetables. How does your dicing kit working today? Any problems? Is this food processor powerful and sturdy? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks again!🙏🏼😊

      Tara Lee you're in luck! As you asked that question I was filming a video with exactly those veggies! I just uploaded it to my channel. ua-cam.com/video/-r3hAvn_9zY/v-deo.html Thanks for commenting... I've had this appliance for a little over a year. It definitely cuts my prepping time down significantly and is very easy to use. It I find that it is adequately powerful, however, some veggies require to be cut with a knife in order to fit into the feed tube.

    I'm constantly looking for something that can dice tomatoes. Tired of doing it by
    hand. Everything seems to smush them. Anyone have any ideas? Will this
    Cuisinart work for it?

    • @thehomemakerstale3797
      @thehomemakerstale3797  2 роки тому +3

      I diced them satisfactorily in this video:
      ua-cam.com/video/9QYTzBSdagU/v-deo.html
      Someone mentioned using chilled Roma tomatoes in the comment section... seems like a good idea to me. Hope you find what you're looking for!

    You have put a disc and what disc is that? A shredding or slicing? For potato did you put disc? Again shredding side of disc or slicing side of the disc?

    • @thehomemakerstale3797

      Hi, all the vegetables in this video were cut with the same blade duo known as "the dicing kit." It consists of a sharp grid disk and a blade that spins over the disk.
