This mount is made of high grade steel and aluminum. Fits most Laptops with the mount base measuring 14" x 12". Supports up to 22 lbs. Every joint is able to be tightened, so you can adjust exactly how fluid/stationary you want everything, simply remove the cap on the joint and tighten the bolt underneath. The Mount uses VESA 75 x75 & 100 x 100 mounting holes so you can easily remove the laptop platform and mount a single monitor up to 27" as well. Maximum arm length is 16.5” and center post is 18” (plus a 4” clamp/bracket).

Step 3, gives us the shttiest short screws that does event want to go in.

We're sorry the stand is giving you problems! The screws for the laptop tray are only long enough to be flush with the nuts after tightening, and the nuts have nylon inserts that take some force to tighten through and prevent the screws from backing out/loosening over time.
