It’s so good to see a step-by-step and gentle approach to teaching a child how to ride a bike. My grandpa taught me how to ride, and all he did was hold the bike so I could sit on it-since I was short and the bike was for adults. Once I was on, he gave it a hard push and told me to pedal. I got it on the first try! The adrenaline rush of being able to ride was so amazing that I still remember it to this day and ofcouse I didn’t know how to stop and when I finally did. I walked back home because I was not confident enough to ride it myself without a push 😂
It's inspiring to see how you're not only teaching new skills but also empowering your child to feel confident and capable. Such a wonderful way to make learning fun and meaningful! 🚴♀💪
Love the idea of removing the pedals from a pedal bike to allow them to practice on it as a balance bike initially. I'll be doing that when I try to graduate my son from his balance bike.
Agree with guardian bikes - love the single handbrake that brakes both wheels. Also started without pedals. A slight decline also is helpful since it’s easier to balance if there’s a little speed.
Balance bike 100% made it easier to transition. Another trick I learned once actually peddling on his own but not fully balanced, was exhausting but ran along with him, hands on his sides but not touching him. Acted more like a bumper so he didn't wipe out, but was still making him do the overall balancing.
Let me know if you any any questions about our riding experience.

I was starting to think this channel only did podcasts. Glad to see this, thanks

About to teach my daughter tomorrow how to ride her bike without training wheels and this video popped up...how timely. Thanks Dad Verb!
Gotta love when that happens! Happy riding!

Loved the convenience when were able to have with that. Not sure if all bikes can do it, but happy with what we got from the Guardian bikes.
